I brought my car in to have a small chip in my windshield repaired, but instead of fixing the problem, they caused the entire windshield to crack. Now I'm being told I have to pay for a full replacement--something that never would have been necessary if they had done the job correctly in the first place. To make matters worse, the staff was extremely unprofessional and dismissive about the situation, offering no accountability or reasonable solution. What should have been a simple, affordable repair turned into a costly headache. I would strongly recommend avoiding this shop at all costs. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this particular shop. I've had to take my car THREE times for them to get a "non-broken" replacement for my windshield---however to clarify, they will not get the opportunity to replace the windshield on a third appointment. Just to validate my review, another gentleman told me he too had to schedule 3 different appointments to get a proper, calibrated windshield. Their people are rude, inconsiderate and have no clue what "customer service " actually is. I've notified my insurance company so as they will never recommend the Schofield/Wausau Safelite location. I do however highly recommend Glass America/Gerber as they are amazing. read more

I wanted to add to my previous review but couldn't figure iut how but ladies & gents if you are considering using the Safelite location in Schofield think long and hard as the work is SUB PAR to say the least! They replaced a windshield that leaked mmassively and Eric refused to look at it because I had an attitude, even called the cops on me because I was so pissed. I just left the Wisconsin Rapids location where George and his crew took care of me like a person! It was worth the drive down! GO TO THE WI RAPIDS LOCATION! YOU won't be disappointed! Worst company. They schedule appointments and don't show up. What is even worse is they call at 5pm after you sit home all day waiting. They are rude and there is no customer service. AFTER THEY CANCELLED MULTIPLE APPOINTMENTS THEY TELL YOU WHEN THEY MAY SHOW UP AGAIN. Never will use this company again. read more

Our car insurance helped me set up the appointment. I needed a whole new windshield. I had an appointment at the Safelite building not home service. I was greeted and welcomed immediately when entering. I was told it would take 1-2 hours. They had a clean sitting area, offered free drinks, and had magazines to read. When my car was completed, it was spotless and told what to expect with sounds for a little bit. Very pleased with start to finish! read more

Aloha from Wausau, The little rock that cracked my windshield was kicked up by a Chevrolet pickup with no mud flaps, this seems like a common thing in Wisconsin. No one puts mud flaps on their trucks anymore, perhaps it's the lost art of caring for other motorists. Well needless to say, I was not happy to learn that my insurance did not cover the full payment, that the deductible needed to be paid. My previous states of residence, there was no out of pocket cost for replacement of glass. The good news here is that the Safelite professional, Shannon made it worth every single penny of that 500 dollar deductible. The service was outstanding, my truck has not felt this good to drive in years, the rearview mirror was reattached perfect, the nightvision system clear as day (best in years). On top of that, the car was vacuumed and felt pampered, the noise reduction with the new glass is also great, and its finally clean. I can not be more thankful to Shannon. Would give zero stars if possible. I have had my car serviced at safelite over a dozen times in the past year to two years. Why so many times you ask? Once for a cracked windshield and once for a chip (which the repaired but the repair failed). The rest was for warranty work. The majority of the time they order the incorrect windshield and for some reason still put the incorrect one in. Once I had an air leak because they didn't seal it properly. They tried to slap some sealant on it and got it all over the interior Pillar of my car (which is a white fabric). Most recently they told me they could calibrate my windshield, which from my experience they can't do 2016 escalades, and they know that. However the guy scheduling my appointment argued with my that they could... I've always had to take it to a dealership, yet they assured me they had the updated technology to do it now. Well, surprise, they still don't. So they tried to calibrate the incorrect windshield and disabled my cruise control and safety features, which is a real pain in the ass when you drive 400+ round trip twice weekly for work. So my one car has had approximately 8 new windshields, most of them the wrong type, in the last year to two years. How is this acceptable? Most recently the correct windshield they sent had a manufacturers defect in it, which they didn't notice or bring up until my husband showed up to the appointment. So we rescheduled, once again, and he finally went to pick it up yesterday. The correct windshield is in... however there is black sealant smeared all over my sun visor and headliner. I brought this to the shops attention and they said "they cleaned it up the best they could". I was advised to call Eric, the manager at the Schofield shop. I've dealt with Eric in the past and refuse to ever again. He now deals with my husband. He called me when I called to complain that my cruise wasn't working. He kept repeating he thought it was because they tried to recalibrate it. I stated that they've done that before and it's never disabled my car. He continued to repeat this and finally said "Clearly I'm not going to give you the answer you're looking for". At this point I was upset and started to tell him I'm upset we've been taking the car to them so many times and something always gets messed up and why could they not just do their job. HE HUNG UP ON ME. Later he called back, as I'm bawling in my car driving home from work, to "apologize". Now, conveniently he had an explanation as to why this happened and it was no longer just "I think it happened because of the attempted recalibration". So clearly he went back in to the shop and talked to someone who actually knows what's going on so he could further explain it to me. Why would you not just do that the first time so I have an actual explanation? Overall they have shit for customer service, they really don't seem to know what they're doing as far as work, and the quality of work I'd shoddy at best. Save yourself LITERAL YEARS of hassle and just go somewhere else. I have no idea how that place is still in business... or how Eric still has a job honestly. read more

Came here 10 minutes after a rock hit my windshield. When I came in Jay explained to me that I should contact my insurance first and they should cover the repair. I went back to my car and called the claims number. They made an appointment for 10 minutes later. Walked in and Jay checked me in. Within 5 minutes my car was in the shop. I was offered soda and coffee. They had toys for my daughter. And the tv remote to change the channels if needed. Very nice people working here. read more
