When I finally went to the dealership bc of the poor recalibration they do, the dealership tells me they don't have the proper tools to calibrate my sensors and have to bring it in wanting to charge me another $500!! I placed an order for Windshield & Driver Window Replacement @ my home which was Canceled without notification. I couldn't get through to anyone (4 separate calls Friday) the work order wouldn't come up (automated system) because it was canceled. When I finally got ahold of someone I was instructed to build a new work order and start fresh. Upon building the second work order, I called in to make sure everything was correct and set for Today. We had the car towed to Safelite and they only had the Windshield on the work order NOTHING about the Driver Window. NOW I have to start over because Safelite can't get me the Driver Door Glass for Today and it would need to be scheduled for another day. Insult to injury, I need to build a THIRD Work Order to hopefully get it replaced Tomorrow if everything goes well - it hasn't gone well yet, I can't possibly believe they will get it right the 3rd time. For whatever reason - they can't grasp the fact that I need 2 pieces of Glass & a piece of window trim! read more

Mr Lopez is an excellent technician. A highly skilled and knowledgeable whn explaining the process, the steps and precautions. He also recommended new wipers if I replaced the windshield. Safelite was easy to schedule and convenient. The company received my claim and responded quickly. The next day Mr Lopez called and confirmed and within a few minutes he began the process ti fix the rock chipped windshield. After 20 min elapsed and happy with the repair I unfortunately spotted a née undetected chip. I asked if I needed to do another claim and he was gracious to fix the new spot plus all the equipment were handily available. Another 20 minutes elapse and U had a wonderful new looking windshield. So there I was, driving to Hi-Time Wine Cellars on my birthday and suddenly, CRACK!!!! WTF??? Something, likely launched by a gravel truck more than five lanes away hit my windshield on the driver's side with enough impact to leave an elliptical crack in the glass. Almost as If a loaded beer can hit on its bottom edge. Strangely, despite the symmetry of the cracks, they never ran or got worse, hence waiting a number of months to get the whole thing replaced. You can't fix that! This is where Safelite, a company that's been around since 1947, factors in. If it were merely a target crack or splinter they'd fill it in with something and my insurance company would cover the expense as 'preventative'. But... most deductibles are $500 for repairs, which means getting the best price quote(s), even with an $80 off coupon, means you foot the bill out of pocket. Long story short, be aware of a couple hidden costs, quote or no quote. First, there's a mandatory $19.99 disposal fee for the old windshield, and it's cheaper to go to one of their locations than having a mobile repair crew come to wherever you are. Secondly, they offer to replace your windshield wipers for $30, except there's a slight bait and switch I discovered when setting up the appointment online. That's $30 for ONE wiper and the subtotal had $60 for the pair. Since I couldn't back it out I declined that service when dropping my vehicle off in the morning. No biggie, it's significantly cheaper to buy new blades at Costco or an auto store. All-in-all, I was very happy with the friendliness and attitudes of everyone there starting with the sweet cashier, and later, the two techs who replaced my windshield. Aside from the previous paragraph's heads-up, there's nothing to complain about. It took around 1.5 hours all told, I did not wait around but there are seats in the lobby for that purpose. read more

My insurance recommended Safelite auto glass my windshield cost was reasonable. It cost more to calibrate the windshield than to install it. Who knew the Prius had all these upgrades in it- technology. Faster than expected 90 minutes and it was more like an hour. Make an appointment for sure- during these covid times; not sure if they would even have the part- so call in advance. I had an appointment within 2 days. My front windshield was spiderwebbed across 60%... almost un drivable. Estimate costs up front. They will try your insurance first- my deductible is 1,000$ and the cost was under-- so I paid cash. Friendly desk person. Excepts credit cards. A few chairs inside the "waiting room" -- I called Uber who took me to Tyler mall for an hour. Highly recommend these people at this site. read more

First of all I need to apologize to Safelite for posting this review a little later than I usually do but oh there is no excuse really when you have received great service with expertise care. On 8-13-202, I had an appointment to have my windshield replaced. I wasn't really happy about having to replace my windshield especially with my car having 12 thousand miles on it but a rock kit me on the freeway and hit it hard from a truck of course no mud flaps but no matter it damaged my windshield. As I was driving the day the incident happened it started to spider web ever so slightly and I just knew I would have to have my windshield replaced. So on Friday the 13th I had an appointment with Safelite. I called on the Thursday before because I was hearing how the windshield would have to also be recalibrated after the replacement and that part would have to be taken care of by the dealer, in this case Toyota. During my call I asked several questions including the subject of recalibration. The gentleman I spoke with put my mind to ease and told me that I can be assured that they will do a great job after determining what my vehicle would need. So, I took it in to the Motor Circle site in Riverside Ca. Once I checked in I felt a sense that I was in no doubt good hands of professionals, as I have come to know during the years. No push and the service was like clock work. They made sure I was comfortable and I was included in the prep and decision making on my windshield repair. I was introduced to Armando Alfaro who was the glass technician that worked on my vehicle. He explained to me that he might be able to save me from having to replace my windshield considering I wasn't really to keen on a complete replacement. He stepped up to the plate and understood how I was feeling. He said he thought he could save the windshield and fill in the damage to perfection. It wasn't that I didn't want a new windshield it was that I felt this could happen again especially with all the trucks we have encountered on our road ways. So, I agreed and Armando got to work...he kept me posted and showed me the progress on my windshield. I was shocked to say the least. The progress went from still seeing it to a magical disappearance of the damage. Armando had a great attitude and you could tell he takes his craft seriously and up to the challenges it may bring. Very neat and particular. He was very kind and very very helpful but no matter what he always wanted my feedback and approval as to the job he was doing and had done in order make sure I as a customer was happy with the work. All I can say is I give him an A++ I was never so happier with the end result. Outstanding effort and job by Armando. Scheduled an appointment for windshield replacement. They had 5 days to get the correct part. Showed up, the women checking me in went and checked inventory and said we are good to go. Left the car. 2 hours later a call comes and they say they don't have the correct part. Ok fine I will pick up my car. 2 hours later they call back and say they have the part but i need to reschedule. Not tomorrow or the next day but another week out because they are to busy. Reschedule, show up and guess what they don't have the part. The incompetency of this group is unbelievable. They clearly spend all their money on marketing and not on competent staff that knows anything about customer service. My windshield was cracked on 2 separate occasions, in 2 different places in February and March. I didn't fix it right away because I was getting some expensive quotes and needed time to save a little. Safelite let me know that my insurance (AAA) would cover it all, except the $250 deductible!! I could have done this a long time ago! But Safelite helped me out every step of the way, dealt with my insurance directly so I wouldn't have to, they stayed in constant contact with me keeping me informed. Then, the tech, Alexis, came out to my job, replaced the winshield while I was able to work, he took the time to ensure everything was done properly, he finished in about an hour and explained follow up care to me. This company is like the reason why I want to abandon my insurance company cuz they make me deal w this low life of a company. When something breaks I'd like to go to the dealer and fix it not go to a company like this where they don't know what they're doing these guys called me claiming they can't receive communication between my camera on my heads up display, when in fact that's a lie it's just they are not used to doing cars with heads up display and calibrating them they just started doing them and they apparently are not good at all because they called me to pick up my car and take it to the dealer so totally waste of time. This is just one of many interactions I had with this location they changed my Tesla windshield before and it was making a noise off the freeway when I go at high speeds and they sent somebody to my house to fix it and they couldn't do anything they advised me to go back in the shop so if you need your windshield fixed prepared to take your car there about five times to get it right. read more

I have 100% comprehensive coverage for glass breakage. This repair cost me nothing other than the premium I pay every month. It wasn't worth what I paid being covered 100%. Safelite showed up on time when expected, so far so good! This is where good ended. The tech allowed thousands of glass shards to fall in my gravel driveway even though I had a tarp covering the van that he could have used to catch the broken glass. I have been sweeping my driveway for over an hour and have at least another half hour to go, not to mention sweeping up my gravel. I had already swept out the van, but it was full of glass and debris again from his removing the remaining broken glass. I would have removed this, if I knew he would scrape it off into my driveway. The new glass has some small scratches that I would not even mention if not for the rest of this fiasco. He left all the broken glass in the back hatch , so now everytime I opened or close the hatch I am reminded of the broken glass by a sound of glass shifting in the door. So I called customer service and was told that next Tuesday was the soonest they would be able to get over to my house to resolve my issue. That meant me sweeping up the van and driveway. This morning my wife had an adoption event being she is a not for profit canine rescue, so she had to use the van. I had not checked the functionality of the rear wiper, so I decided to do so. Much to my surprise (not) the wiper was installed on the wrong side and wiped the lower hatch instead of the rear glass. The tech never even checked the wiper function. I can hardly wait until next fall when we need the rear backlight heater to work. I sure don't expect it to. Can you imagine if you relied on this company to calibrate the safety sensors that protects you from collision if you had a windshield replaced I have always used American Eagle Auto Glass in the past and am very sorry I didn't this time. They always have done a too notch job for me. When my insurance company asked if I had a preference who done the work, I made a huge mistake saying no and that Safelite would be OK.
