Great Experience! Had a little chip in my windshield, made an appt...showed up and within 45 minutes I was in and out ...and they vacuumed my car!! Everyone from arrival to receptionist to super nice guy taking care of my car were all fabulous!! They even suggested I find out if my insurance has a "preventative" payment for this service ... they did!! saved me $$. Highly recommend! read more

When you come in, they state 2.5 hours for window replacement. This is not an exaggeration, but it is the minimum. I waited for hours longer. The person behind the counter would not state what is going on, would not provide an ETA, interrupted me when I asked, and was borderline belligerent. It was as if I was inconveniencing me, that his team was not delivering on its claim. This is not a customer-focused business. Maybe if they can install at your house, but never going to this location again. There are better alternatives elsewhere in KC. Modern cars have cameras that see through the windshield and this requires "recalibration". Turns out that this store doesn't even have the software for many common cars, so if that happens, you can wait for hours more. This is because they won't work on other cars, even while they are in a stand still waiting for software. I guess if there's not many places, you can do whatever you want. read more

They were supposed to fix my windshield 2 weeks ago, but still have not done the job that they were supposed to do. They came to my house last week Friday and realized that they did not have the necessary moldings. They told me they would order and made another appointment with me today to replace the windshield. Guess what? Technician called after waiting for 4 hours - they still do not have the molding!!! They need some competition here locally. Will not recommend and will make sure everyone I know stays away. They take your money and provide terrible service read more

I'm thinking about going to another location that can do with the calibration. Also, we cannot speak directly to this location. Customer service is also a problem. They will tell to hold, next thing you hear is sorry something happened to the application goodbye. read more

The service guy was rude. Immediately dismissed me when he determined my windshield wasn't a chip he would repair. No thanks

Perfect, reasonable time frame, very personable staff. Reconnected all sensors and calibrated perfectly , definitely recommended!

Great experience overall. I set up an appointment for a Friday. Dropped off my ford maverick at 1pm. The staff inside was great. Said it would be a couple of hours and left. They called me in 2 hours and let me know it was ready. I received text messages throughout the install. Was told before I got a call that my truck was ready. Nester was the tech that worked on my vehicle. He was great. Highly recommend this business and Nester. read more

We went in for a very tiny chip repair as we were heading on vacation next week. We came out with a crack at least a 1/4 " on either side of the chip. We planned on trading in the car soon so we will likely have to replace the windshield now. I think I will take my chances with the chip on our other vehicle. I believe they have a very poor attitude at the store and were not very sympathetic about how my wife felt about it either. read more

Everything is online to schedule, and a bot sends you text reminders. You absolutely cannot ever reach a person to talk to. Ive made 2 appointments, and they never show up. Never call or text to say they cant make it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! -5 STARS read more

So I went in for a scheduled repair at this for a chip in my windshield, technician takes it back, is with it no more than maybe 10 minutes then comes out to get me. Proceeds to explain the process of some tool use to extract moisture from the crack in order to for it to be filled. States on how it is a rare occasion the chip will spider out into a crack while using this tool, I look and what was a dime size chip turned into a dollar size crack. Then proceeds to tell me I will need to pay for it to be replaced or contact my insurance. That arguably not good practice that a customer nor their insurance company has to pay for something to be replaced that should have been a simple repair but now isn't due to what I feel is employee error or negligence. Only thing that helped keep be from becoming disgruntled was the kind woman named Desiree sitting at the front desk. Not sure what this companies policy is for their employees destroying customers windshields but I'm sure it shouldn't a cost a customer should bear having to cover their negligence. read more

Terrible. Was told 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. Had an appointment. 3 hours later still waiting. Super inconsiderate of people's time and employees give you different information. Would not recommend. read more

Horrible customer service. Made an appointment and brought my car in the morning right after working my nightshift, to replace broken windshield. I was notified in the middle of the day that my new windshield came in but they broke it so they couldn't fix it. We picked up our car that day. Later that week we called to ask if a new windshield was ordered and the employee said they never reordered but would go ahead and reorder. A new appointment was set for the following weekend in the morning again. I went straight to Safelite right after my night shift again. To my disappointment the employee said I was 20 minutes late and they would not be able to fix my windshield. I understand appointments are important but disappointed that we could accommodate their mistake but they couldn't accommodate our 20 minutes. read more

this is the worst place I've ever go I would rather stick a fork in my eye. I make an appointment 20 days in advance and drive 25 miles out of my way and they cancel my appointment for no reason and say come back in another two weeks. they refuse to reschedule read more

Super quick and easy! I highly recommend. It was so nice that the instructions were easily laid out and most of it was done online.

I had very little time and pulled in right after I got a chip on my windshield, I didn't have time that day to wait, so I left and came back another day. I got right in, but the best part is they contacted my insurance company for me and I didn't have to pay a dime. It is a very busy office but they are very efficient and will get you taken care of and in and out in no time. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND OR TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!! I had a small chip on my front windshield that had not cracked. I went through my insurance and Safelite to have it repaired. After getting in my car after work there was a 2 inch crack. It is now on me to pay for a whole new windshield. I read the warranty and Safelite does an amazing job of contradicting themselves. Warranty states as follows: "In some cases, the attempt to repair a windshield can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and we are not responsible for such damage." "We guarantee that the repaired portion of the windshield will not crack further and that the repair will pass any state vehicle inspection" I am not happy especially since Safelite quoted me around $500 for a new windshield. Absolutely NOT!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere. Not even a week later and I now have a 6inch, and growing, crack across my windshield. read more

My 2008 tundra eventually had a cracked windshield from Many Road dings. I was going to claim it on insurance with a $500 deductible but the insurance company was only going to pay $30. Safelite cut me a deal and got it for less than my $500 deductible. The vehicle was washed outside and cleaned inside and done on time. I rate them five stars for the service on the vehicle, and the way I was treated. I hope you get the same excellent service. read more

4 star reviews overrated because Safelite a huge advertiser. Last time I called Safelite was a 2 week wait and a surcharge to show up at my house--not what ads suggest is the case. Fact is so many auto glass companies will replace your glass for literally half or less than Safelite. Why the huge difference in cost? Yelp may ban me for telling the truth. read more

We've used Safelite on two occasions. Last summer the installer replaced the rear windshield of our 4Runner in our driveway (which is very convenient). The installer was unable to get a lot of the broken glass out of the interior of the tailgate, which he informed me of when I signed off on the work but it rattles so much I regret not insisting that the broken glass be removed. Last week I had an appointment to have the windshield replaced at our home. The appointment was supposed to be between 1-5PM, but the installer called me in the morning and explained he was having trouble scheduling his installs and informed me that he may not be able to complete the installation if it is too cold in my (attached) garage. I asked how long the installation would take if I took it to the shop and was told about 40 minutes. I waited in the shop's waiting room for over an hour. I would not have left a negative review, but when I left the parking lot I noticed finger and hand prints on the inside of the windshield and factory security sensor that attaches to the inside of the windshield was dangling loose. It's a simple matter of cleaning the sensor with alcohol and reapplying double-sided tape so it's not worth my effort to bring the car back to the shop. The dirty windshield makes me question the quality of the installation. I'm pretty sure installers are supposed to wear gloves to ensure the adhesives and seal aren't contaminated. read more

As a very critical person, I am rarely impressed. In fact, when I am impressed it means the person/company has hit every note flawlessly, and that is scarce indeed. SafeLite officially makes the cut as a company that impressed me so much I would recommend them wholeheartedly. They gave me a fair quote by phone, were flexible in making our appointment, discovered many insurance really would pay the full repair bill... offered me a cold drink (pop or water), a comfortable chair and had my car fixed in 25 minutes from the time I walked in the door. The Techs vacuumed, cleaned the glass and were friendly. I pray this doesn't happen again, but I'll be a repeat customer if it does. read more

They had a key drop off, so I was able to drop my car off after they closed. They had it ready the next day by 1 pm. It was guaranteed to be done by 5 pm. They cleaned all the broken glass out of my car, and did a great job at installing the new rear window. It was one of the cheaper options around and pretty close by. It also came with a lifetime warranty, just as long as the window isn't smashed. read more

On 3/16/20 I had my windshield replaced by Safelite. I have been working from home because of the COVID-19 and haven't drove my truck. Then the other day I finally needed to get out and replenish some groceries. Jumped in my truck and noticed a 13" cracked windshiled. Called Safelite and informed them of this issue and they scheduled a warranty repair for me today. Once I arrived at the Safelite in Olathe, KS a gentleman behind the counter said I need to look at this warranty request. We walked out to my truck and he said this is a crack and will not be cover under warranty and he would have to charge me again. I said okay! However, I'm a little confused as to way you believe this is a crack for that I have been working from home since the new windshield has been installed. He said sir have a good day somewhere else. I said okay let me get my key. As we are walking back into the building I mentioned to him as if this situation was not handled correctly. Re-piled with would you like me to mow your grass. read more

We dropped our van off and was told it would take 2 hours. I was called within a short time after drop off and told they would need to keep it all day as the windshield they received was scratched so they had to wait for another one to be delivered. Then when we picked it up the interior smelled like someone sprayed some kind of deodorizer and then shortly after that the sensor by the rear view mirror fell off. The bottom portion of the rubber piece is not sealed or flush to the glass like it's been stretched out and there is a new dent and multiple new paint chips scattered across my hood. seems to me like the windshield was dropped on the hood of my van. I'm not sure exactly what happened while they had my van but I will be contacting my insurance and filing a grievance against this unprofessional company that has left me with more damage than what I went in with! read more

Not sure what is going on but this company doesn't seem to have it all together. We made an appointment a week ago Saturday, showed to be available for same day service. Within an hour received a message the appointment was moved to Monday. We were leaving for vacation so we waited around for the Tech to arrive only for them to arrive unprepared to replace a windshield. They expected to repair cracks even though we explained there were 4 large cracks and windshield needed to be replaced. So they rescheduled AGAIN for the next Saturday. Well lo and behold they showed up with the wrong windshield. And now the appointment is rescheduled AGAIN. Can only hope third time is the charm?! Will we ever get our windshield replaced? read more

Had windshield replaced by this shop. Glass was not seated correctly. Rain sense wipers don't work and some sort of leak coming from review mirror. We were not given the option to purchase an original GM windshield and we can tell the difference in quality. First time I have used Safelite. I was here in Olathe for a conference. On the drive down took a rock to the windshield. My experience was great. I set up an appointment online with my phone while at the conference. It was fairly easy to do. I did dock one star because I could not figure out how to talk to an actual person on the phone. That was frustrating because I had several questions but the number listed went to a convoluted menu system. They arrived in a timely manner and my tech Belinda was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to answer all my questions and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Thanks again for all your help. read more

Discovering a crack in your windshield is stressful enough...trying not to slam the door, hoping it won't spread across the entire car. You don't need a run around to get it fixed. I had always dealt with a competitor for car glass work, but that purveyor has moved out of my part of town. So tap-tap on the old internet leads me to Safelite. I was surprised to find they had a location at 119th and Renner. Was on my way thru that area anyway, and decided to stop in a have someone inspect my window. The crack was way down by the wipers, in the black outline area, didn't know if it would be repairable or not. Walked into the office, stated my request, and watched them scramble. Within 25 minutes I drove away, window fixed to the point you couldn't even see the bad spot, insurance had been filed, and the deductable was waived because the windshield was able to be repaired instead of having to replace. Didn't expect to have it done on the spot, but they offered and I accepted. Their work comes with a lifetime warranty, if the window recracks of gets worse. They do offer "come to you" service", but I was glad I didn't need it. Very pleased that someone actually wanted to help me fix something for a change! read more

It took 8 days to get an appointment. When I arrived, within 10 minutes, I was told a Corvette takes 3-4 hours to replace a windshield. The customer service rep told me it would take 90-120 minutes when I set up the appointment. Big time difference and I did not have the time to waste. I've rescheduled a second appointment and will now have to waste more time and more gas to get my windshield fixed. read more

I have never met such a professional and competent service staff before. From the manager through the technician, this visit was an A++. Brought my car in for what I believed was a leaky rear window, that was soaking my C pillar after every rain. Right away they said "probably not the problem". Within 5 minutes they called me out and started showing me how the leak was from the sunroof, due to a clogged drain. They took apart the drain, cleaned it, blew it free of debris, and tested to success. They had to remove both door trim and the C pillar cover. When all said and done, I said "thanks, lets go settle up inside", and to my shock, they said "don't worry about it, we didn't do anything". Ummm, you stopped a major leak that was ruining the inside of my car! Bottom Line: these guys are really great and extremely professional and reasonable. read more
