They texted me that my new windshield was in but when I came for the replacement they said a wrong part was ordered. They only realized that when they compared the new part with the actual in my MB GLC43 AMG. They scheduled another appointment two weeks later. And again texted me but when I came for the appointment they said again that the part is wrong. When I tried to complain, some obtuse manager blamed MB dealership and his own ignorance, that he didn't know what occurred during my first visit. One of the many benefits of driving a crap load of miles each year is the cool things that sometimes hit your windshield. Some times they just scare the hell out of you and other times they leave you little presents as a representation of their love. Rocks on the freeway are true, true givers of love. Enter Safelite. I was fortunate to get TWO little glass kisses on one trip and was super excited about it. I used the internerd to find my options and found Safelite, right here in my area. Logged on to their easy to use mobile site and had a reservation for the following day. So, there I am, showing up and thinking "man, there is NO way they are going to get me in and out of here in a decent amount of time." I'm not exactly a NASCAR fan but I do enjoy minimal times in the pits. The team at Safelite felt my pain and got me in right on time, just like we set up. The tech used the special doohicky, and the thingamajig on my windshield and it worked perfectly. Now, my two "kisses" were kind of close together and he asked if could work a little slower and take time to do it right to prevent the windshield from cracking out. Of course! Thank you! Fast forward to the doohicky and thingamajig being put away and the whatchamacallit cured the resin in the cracks. The tech let me know there was about 1/3 of an inch of the crack he just couldn't get the resin in to but he was able to seal both sides of it to keep it from cracking. Perfect. I can deal with that. So.... we're done. The tech wipes his footprints off of the truck where he was standing in the door (my truck was dirty at the time and this was an added bonus.) He runs my card through the card reader and it ended up a LOT cheaper than I thought it would be. Use these folks. Enjoy their services. They took extra good care of me and I will 100% be back when the freeway doles out some more love to my truck. read more

I'm giving Safelite a 1 star for their response on this (Would be zero if it was an option). Thanks Safelite for the technical did-you-read-the-fine-print response, but that's not what I nor anyone here wants to see from you. Yes, there are risks in the procedure as you described - but your technician that did this service called it (when our first car's windshield cracked) a 1-in-1000 chance. What are the chances that they both crack within a couple of months of each other (the first one upon first attempt at repair)? If they're both 1-in-1000, then according to mathemeticians easily found here on the internet - it's a 1-in-1,000,000 chance it would happen to both cars. Either I just won the lottery, or SAFELITE PERFORMED REALLY SHODDY SERVICE. read more

...They came to my home for a windshield replacement. They installed a defective warped windshield on me. I had to make a SECOND appointment and they took half of my day again!! they don't check their product before they place it in your car according to the receptionist. Do YOU have the time for poor quality?! I'm hoping the second replacement is of professional quality--friggin thing is costly!! approx $650. I didn't catch the defectiveness until I started driving around with it. And Im stuck at home an additional two hours waiting for the windshield to set after repairs so I can drive safely. They're supposed to be here 8am - 12pm it's now 11:17am and still no tech!! You really shouldn't use this company. read more

Skyler was an awesome auto glass tech! Arrived within the time frame and was quick to get the job done, even with rain pressuring him to move fast. Did excellent work and informed me of any other issues of concern. Would recommend getting your auto glass replaced by Safelite! Also very easy going through insurance for replacement. read more

It took me awhile to get through to their office to first ask a few questions before booking appt. we have a car with electric eye. Then I scheduled appointment and went through our Insurance and was reassured safelite would make sure policy was updated as we couldn't reach insurance agent on 3way call. I had to call them 3 times to get it resolved. We took the car in and did the new windshield with electric eye calibration. Upon getting our car back one of the indicator lights was left on. We ended up taking it to our dealership to get things back working correctly. Not sure I will try them again in the future of not. maybe was a fluke but it was surely a bit painful. read more

We are on vacation and had a rock hit our windshield in the driver's line of view while driving on the freeway, creating a pit with 3 small cracks radiating from it, each less than 1 inch long. We were driving through Ogden and there were two Safelights nearby that were both still open for a little over an hour longer, so we went in to one for help to get the damage repaired before the crack spread and the damage was beyond repair. unfortunately, they apparently won't take people who don't have appointments, even in situations when they are moving, need a repair, and can't make an appointment. The shop had no appointment slots open, so we tried calling other nearby locations, which just wasted time either finding out that they had no openings or getting hung up on before I got any information, so we started driving to the next nearby location, since we still had a little over a half hour before closing, hoping they could help us. unfortunately, while driving, we hit a bump and one of the cracks spread beyond what could be repaired. Now we have to pay a lot more money to have the windshield replaced by the dealer when we get home instead of giving Safelight our business. We are very disappointed because this is not anything like the service the commercials suggest. read more

Made the appointment, got the quote, dropped my car off (early) so I could finish some things at work, received the completion invoice via email and then went back to pick up my car. No surprises or extra charges. Technician walked me through the rules for the next 48 hours and I was done. Great Job with the windshield. I will go back again. read more

I had a small rock chip repaired a week ago. This morning the chip that was supposedly fixed cracked, and my windshield will now how to be replaced. The only thing they said they would do was to take $40 off the cost of a new windshield. They didn't even come outside to look at the windshield to see if it had been an error on their part. They don't stand behind their work and accept no responsibility. Seems pretty shady to not fix something correctly and then try to upsell you to a new windshield. read more

I called Safelite to have a windshield replacement on Tuesday 20 Oct, right away they made an appointment to come to my home and replace on Monday 26 Oct 2020. They had to order the windshield from Ford, a Ford windshield, NOT aftermarket. Skyler called me 20min before the appointment to let me know he was on the way. I then got a text message providing a photo of Skyler, that is awesome of identification. He got right on it and when he was all done, she called me to let me know and told me there was an issue with the windshield cowling. Long before I ever owned my truck, the windshield has been replace before with an aftermarket and whoever did the replacement glued the cowling back on. When Skyler went to take it off, it cracked and broke. It wasn't Safelite's fault this happened, it was someone else who re-installed it incorrectly. Skyler said to me he would talk with his manager and see about getting a replacement and fixed. Well, I just want to say that Skyler and his manager rock, they have ordered the part and will be replacing it with no extra charge to me. I can't tell you what a breath of fresh air a company like Safelite is, they didn't have to do this but they did and I'm proof that customer service is not dead.
