Bare with me, it's complicated! We've had several windshields installed over the years on our Jeep Commander, and nearly every time there's been an issue. We went in early and advised of previous issues with installations. We then explained that we were in no rush and would leave it all day... in hopes of avoiding issues. We got it back, drove home & hit the road 2 days later. After several minutes of attempting to roll up windows and seal the sunroof, it was evident that we had wind noise, and lots of it. Now, we had explained that this was a frequent issue & here it was again... a bit annoying. That's where the bad news ends, as the manager said to bring it back in and he'd follow up personally. He did. It turns out that, in a previous repair, another company had added trim that didn't belong. After MANY botched replacements, we now know that the added trim piece was causing the issue. We gave the ok to yank it off and seal the windshield correctly. No noise! Now, I was tempted to go 5 stars for the catch and fix, but... I had to go 4 since it took a repeat visit to get it right this time, in addition to nobody catching it on prior visits. That said, I would highly recommend these guys. If they don't get it right the first time, they'll keep at it until it's right! read more

Needed a windshield repair and they had to cut the auto start antenna due to a prior windshield replacement. The tech called and apologized before hand and said they would cover the repair. Called and spoke with Brad to verify this was going to get covered and he said it would. Went and had the auto start antenna replaced and emailed the invoice to Safelite. A few weeks later the check came in the mail as promised. Thanks Safelite! read more

I brought my Toyota Tundra in September 19, 2022 for a windshield replacement. I waited the 2hrs for the install to happen, Shop employee pulled my truck to the front door didn't say shit about breaking my monitor, I paid the Manger Brad my $100 deductible on the spot. Got home, went to back in my driveway and I found that someone took their thumb and ripped my back up camera monitor off the dash and a giant thumb print breaking my screen. Not a great thing to find. I was very patient until today, That night, I called Corporate and talked directly to the Manager Brad the following Monday. At first he was very apologetic, I'm sorry, blah blah blah. He asked me to come Monday so he could assess it which was inconvenient cause I was moving to Texas the next week. Yet I did it. Yep he saw the big thumbprint and my monitor laying on the dash. Asked me to get a quote and send it to him and he'd get it taken care of. Quote was for $600 from Stereo City. That must've been too high for Safelite which is a joke cause I'm the one losing. So he got a quote for only the monitor and install. That came at $240. I said fine whatever, send the check, I'm moving and want it fixed. It's October 14th, 2022 and still have not received my reduced check for the damages. I've reached out to the Manager Brad multiple times and he has not stopped responding to me and I've been very respectful. I've been professional, patient but, I'm already in Texas and still out my back up camera. It's now been a shit experience. This is the first time I've ever reviewed any business publicly. Sad. Today I've asked for his Supervisors number twice respectfully and nothing. It's been a month and I have nothing but a broken back up camera. Highly recommend any other shop in Minot. If a company is at fault, admitted to it and then does nothing, likely not the place to go. I will get my check and I will be calling Safelite Corporate Monday and providing my entire text conversation with the Minot Manager. It's just stupid it has got to this point, sad. No reason it had to get to here. I pd for my windshield that day and a month later I have nothing!!! Saturday 22Oct22 Update After posting this, I was contacted by the District Mgr William within 48hrs. He apologized for my experience sincerely and had a $600 replacement check sent to me overnight, it arrived 21Oct22. Excellent Leader, Safelite is better because of him! Terrible place to try to work with. Too lazy to answer phone. Company believes it can be lazy because they can ride the covid train.

We caught a rock from an oncoming truck about 1 hour out of Minot ND and called my insurance company (USAA) and they had me call Safelite AutoGlass. They gave us the last appointment they had for today and we went there and within 30 minutes KYLE had the rock chip repaired and guaranteed. The gentleman from the front office and especially KYLE were very nice and friendly and took care of our windshield. The important thing was we were only stopping in Minot overnight headed for Canada and were on a 11,000 mile trip and needed this fixed before it spread. Thanks Kyle Elynn read more

Nothing wrong with the establishment itself. Id say more so the prices, god they are terrible. Wanted to replace two front windows in my truck and they were charging 800 dollars. Super nice people but whoever sets prices for them needs to reconsider. Cost of materials shouldnt be near as expensive as what they're charging. This can't be a Safelite facility. It has got to be a CON, a rip off, they must have stole the Safelite sign. They have the name Safelite but they operate worse then a used car salesmen. If you for some reason still decided to go to this location make sure you check on the prices of ODM and after market as i was not told from the jump. Took the car in after making an apt to Safelite Minot ND and when I arrived it came out that Safelite ordered the wrong windshield. I took time off of work another time only to be disappointed yet again with a call while I was headed to the Safelite location that the windchild was not in. Then another apt but at least I was called prior that the windshield never made it due to delivery issues. Took my business elsewhere and had the windshield replaced before Safelite could figure out how what was going on in there end. Safelight is a great company when managed correctly, this one needs an inspector to come up and figure out what's going on and why they are dragging the name Safelite to the ground. Was talking to someone about Safelite today and was told when he took his vehicle to Safelite the rep. Crashed his vehicle into another vehicle. He said it got fixed by the company but what is going on at this Safelite location. read more

My windshield went into battle with rocks from a semi and Safelite was out the next week to fix it, they even showed up to my job while I was working! Now I have a new windshield! read more

The only reason one star is given is because there is not an option for zero. Set up an appointment to have almost five hundred dollars of service performed. Took a day off of work to be home during their ridiculous estimate of time. I was told between noon and five. Really? For auto windshields that was the smallest timeframe? Waited all day and no tech showed up. Called at five and was told the order was cancelled. Then I was told that their techs showed up and nobody was here. What a joke. My company has done a lot of business here even when items mysteriously disappear from vehicles left there. Well not anymore. Another fine example of customer service in Minot. When the oil goes bust and all these businesses go out of business there will be so many people including myself laughing watching them fall. And people like myself will leave them to suffer like they deserve. Customer service is still king and this town better wake the heck up and realize it. read more

Very friendly people. I dropped my pickup off, they gave me a ride within a couple minutes. They called and picked me up quickly after. I actually couldn't believe how quick they were. My vehicle upon returning was completely clean, vacuumed out, windows washed outside and inside. I have a Great Dane, so there was multiple slobbery kiss layers on the windows and a lot of dog hair. I couldn't believe it! They went over and beyond any expectation. My vehicle looked brand new and the windshield work was exceptional! I've been telling everyone how great they were! They explained everything about the easy after care, were very friendly, polite and kind, and seemed genuinely happy to have my business. read more
