Safelite has been the biggest headache. I will never use them again. cancelled appointments and just an overall run around

Showing up for appointments scheduled needs improvement as well as general customer service.

Don't waste your time here! Find anyone else in Lubbock to fix your windshield. I was traveling through Lubbock and had rock break shatter my glass. Looked up this location and even though it had bad reviews I was needing a fix badly. Came into the store, waited 25 minutes minimum while the lady at an adjacent space to the front desk said the clerk was on the phone in another office. She final asked if we had an appointment and we said no. Without asking what we needed stated that we would have to come back another day because they did not have any staff available. Horrible customer service on par with the poor Yelp reviews already present for this location. So disappointing. read more

This business is awful!! over a 2 week period & 4 appt i still didn't get my windshield installed, mostly due too not having tools, parts etc, last appt. was for 8am-12. showed up at 5:30 and didn't install!!! Moving with a Local company, highly suggest anyone reading do the same. read more

Do not under any circumstances use Safelite on the Loop in Lubbock. I called my insurance company, Danny Sellers Allstate, and they referred me to Safelite . I made an appointment for them to come to my home on Ju e 27, 2023. Since they were coming to my home, their policy was to co e between 8am and 5pm. I kept my phone close all day and they did not call nor come. I called their office at. 4:55 to see if perhaps they worked past 5pm. Someone answered and immediately hung up. I called back and that person had put a recording on the phone saying they were closed. The next day I was told that "someone" had cancelled . They told my insurance company I had cancelled. There was a major hail storm in Lubbock after I made my appointment for a small repair. I'm assuming more lucrative calls came into them after I made my appointment. read more

Well, we've used Safelite for years and I had a vehicle with a small Star on windshield. Lol, for what it's worth it was like I should have done it myself. Star looks like it's never been repaired. I took it in n know that it'has resin in crack I'm told by other companies that it's not repairable due to that. When they first look at it they can repair it but they take a closer look and tell me looks like someone already tried lol. That's bad craftsman ship im told lol. I called insurance and am disputing this getting paid being told by other companies. Safelite just ignore the situation but never again lol will be doing business with them. read more

I had a small crack (about the size of a quarter), so my insurance company hooked me up with Safelite. A technician came out to my house but said he was unable to fix it and set up a follow up appointment to take it into the shop where they also said they could fix it. So I had to get it replaced. On the day it was supposed to be replaced, it turns out the windshield they ordered didn't come in on time. So they rescheduled for the next day. Then I took it in and it runs out they ordered the wrong windshield. So I've taken time off 4 times to get it fixed and I'm still waiting. read more

What a terrible terrible experience. I have been waiting for about a month now for them to order me my glass for my window and schedule an appointment. They finally get my glass in and schedule an appointment just for them to let me know 45 minutes after I drop off my car that they ordered the wrong glass. I gladly walked in there to pick up my car and let them know I would be doing business with someone else. Truly the most terrible customer service I have ever been through. read more

My windshield was cracked due to a rock hitting it. Went to this location to get it replaced. They replaced it, but had to turn around less than a week later to get it fixed again due to hearing air at the top of the windshield. Noticed I had scratches on right front passenger finder after work was done. Was told that the damage was not done by them, and they could and would not do anything about it. I don't recommend this location to anyone. Bad business!! read more

My experience was awesome. I went online and scheduled three onsite windshield replacements a week or so in advance. Each quote had a separate onsite fee, but the technician waved two of the fees on the day of the appointment. Got several reminder emails and texts, then on the day of the appointment, the technician called 30 minutes in advance to let me know he was on his way. He showed up right on time, went right to work, and replaced all three windshields with no problems. The windshields look great and I'm very satisfied! read more

My husband's car was vandalized and the back window was shot out. I booked an appointment with Safelite for it to be repaired and paid in advance. I received an email saying a technician, Xavier, would be out before 5 to replace it. At 5:30. I decided to call to see if the technician was just running late. I could not get anyone on the phone as it was after 5:00, even though my local store said they were open until 6. I called the national number and got the same computerized response. I even tried the text option. Needless to say, the car's window was broken out all night. The next day, I spoke to a representative that could not figure out what had happened to the first appointment and booked an appointment for that day. Alex came out within two hours and fixed the window. He was polite and efficient. Safelite did discount me $40.00 for the inconvenience. I appreciate that, but I feel more compensation would have been nice since I was paying out of pocket. My insurance deductible was more than the cost of the window replacement. It was super frustrating because I could not contact anyone the previous day on what had happened to the first appointment, and the car went another night with the window broken. read more

I'm giving them another star for responding to my review. Any company that cares about their feedback gets bonus points from me. Hopefully they will look one step further than just replacing window glass and learn how to reprogram the safety switches on the windows after replacing them. read more

**Update I originally gave Safelite a 1 star rating following a rather unpleasant experience which I detailed below. However, my dissatisfaction with the service I originally received has been far outweighed by the terrific customer service Safelite has since provided me. I was not expecting satisfaction when I made a second attempt at asking Safelite to address the spreading damage to my windshield following their first repair. To my surprise, the manager of this location and his excellent staff listened to my concerns and offered to make it right. Rather than making a second attempt at repairing the spreading crack in my windshield, they arranged to replace the windshield at their cost and ensured that their most experienced professional did the job. The windshield replacement was done at my convenience by their mobile unit and the replacement looks flawless. I am now a very satisfied customer. It is an unfortunate fact of life that sometimes things just don't go right. Sometimes professionals have bad days and their services are are flawed. At those times, it is how they respond to customer complaints that can make all the difference. To err is to be human, to provide excellent customer service is divine. Safelite has provided excellent customer service and ensured that I will continue to use them in the future. I can now highly recommend this location to anyone in need of windshield repair. Original Post - Gave 1 Star "Save yourself the headache and either find a reputable company in Lubbock or buy a kit and fix any chips yourself. Their "technicians" are likely to cause more damage. I had a bullseye chip the size of a dime in my windshield. My insurance company arranged for this Safelite location to send a mobile unit to the parking lot of my employment to repair the chip. The "technician" told me this was her last windshield repair job ever and proceeded to tell me about her family life and legal problems. I should have asked her to step away from my vehicle right then. The girl told me there was a very slight risk of the windshield cracking more. She then cracked the windshield into a 4 inch batwing which is right in my eye line in front of the driver's seat. It doesn't even look repaired. She said it would not spread any more, but I have serious doubts. She then said I could call her boss once she reported the additional damage and he would reduce the cost of my $249 deductible by $99 to replace the windshield. When I had my insurance company call to arrange to either have another Safelite "professional" come to re-repair the new damage caused by their rep or replace the whole windshield, I was told that the girl did not report the damage she caused to her boss and that I would have to pay the full deductible. I also found a scratch on the hood of my car from her equipment. I could not be less satisfied with this company. I have since researched the customer reviews for Safelite and have discovered they have a terrible customer service record and rarely, if ever, do they accept responsibility for damage caused by their staff. I would lose time and money taking them to small claims court to recoup the costs of the damages to my vehicle caused by their negligence. I'm betting that is the business model they count on. As a consumer, you have the a choice of where and how to spend your hard earned money. I implore you to spend it with a company who will take care of your costly investment. We live in Reno NV but our son goes to Texas Tech in Lubbock TX He needed a windshield and we used Safelite Autoglass at the above address. Not only did they fraudulently charge our card double the quote someone in their office took my credit card and used it in the amount of $ 571.00 .Watch out for these guys they have cheats and liars somewhere in their local organization.
