Absolutely loved this place. I took my car there because it was making a weird noise and Jason, the owner, took the time to listen to it for free and suggest a diagnosis and place to take it for repairs. I had taken my car to several people already and this place was the only one to give me a straight answer, and they did it all free of charge. He also said to have the shop I take it to call him if they gave me any problems. Wonderful guy, wonderful place. Highly recommend. On our way to Colorado, our Excursion's transmission finally (255K mi.) gave up the good fight. All of the extracted codes showed transmission issues. Our vacation was quickly vanishing before our eyes. We called around a bit in the Lubbock area with no luck of anyone even looking at it for days. We were eventually directed to try Apache. Yvonne advised us that Chance and Woody would take a look at it THAT DAY!! (Friday) Sure enough the transmission had to be rebuilt, which was not a surprise. Chance glanced at our travel trailer and then at the Excursion, both totally loaded down to the gills with camping gear and we saw his eyes begin to swell with mercy for us. Save your hard, earned money and don't walk but run away from this place as fast as you can!!! After sinking thousands of dollars I wasn't even able to drive away! Rebuilt my transmission TWICE and shortly after the warranty expired the seal went out! After spending another $1000 somewhere else I was told it was because Apache cuts corners and uses the cheapest parts!! He'll blow smoke up your ass and try to convince you that your better off selling your car because he's either too lazy to fix it right or doesn't know what he's doing!! read more

This guy did a fantastic job on my transmission . He was very honest and reasonable on the price . I was thinking I was needing to have my transmission rebuilt and he repaired it without having to rebuild it . It runs like it new again . Although I didn't need a transmission repair this time, If I ever do, you bet I'll use Apache Transmission. I was in town for some shopping and my Jeep Commander started acting like the transmission was acting up. I didn't want to get stranded 30 miles from home or do more damage by driving the truck. Jason was so helpful. He was not at his shop when I arrived, but came quickly after I called and drove my truck to diagnose the problem. It wasn't a problem that was apparent immediately, but we determined that it would not harm my transmission for me to continue driving and he would do some research on my model. The owner is super honest and helpful. After I had called around to different transmission shops, I had several people tell me that changing my transmission fluid pressure sensor switch b circuit on my Honda CRV was going to be a difficult job and expensive. However, when I called Apache, the owner told me that replacing my switch wasn't hard. In fact, he even told me that I could even take it to my mechanic, and he informed me that the work didn't require any special training. To think, that he was willing to lose the chance to make extra money because he's honest and considerate! First let me say that I always prefer doing all of my own auto repair and only consider a shop when it's something COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone - like internal transmission work which was exactly what brought me to Apache. I took a chance on Apache based on mixed results I have had over the years with other shops in Lubbock. The owner, Jason Gloe, met me in the parking lot of his shop before I ever even made it inside. He was extremely friendly and professional all at the same time. How rare is this these days?! I was fully prepared for some surly old fart or his chain-smoking wife/secretary to inform me that there was no way they could give me an estimate until they "tore it down" and that I would to leave it with them for a week or so before they could get to it. Jason quickly diagnosed the problem and even took me inside the shop to show me the same issue on a transmission he was working on. He gave me a very fair estimate and even though they were very busy he said he would squeeze me in and have me back on the road ASAP. I left it with him and he had it ready to go the very next day - he even called me once while he was working on it to give me an update. He had it ready for me the next day as promised. When I picked it up we visited a little and I found out that the fix was a bit more complicated than he originally thought due to a secondary issue. I offered to pay for the extra labor, but he wouldn't let me saying that it was on him. Again, how rare is that? It shouldn't be, but it is. This is the way you earn repeat business and referrals.
