Dear Safelite I tried to call and schedule an appointment but your system kept sending me back to Geico to file a claim, which I had already done. There were no options to talk to a live person. Since the phone Option didn't work, I tried to use your online system. It did the same thing, and routed me to Geico. There was no where to put my claim number. When that option didn't work, I tried the online chat. That person wasn't any help at all and just forwarded me back to the online system. Since it was so complicated to schedule an appointment I chose another company to do the work. When I called them, a live person answered the phone and made it so easy for me to schedule an appointment. This is the second windshield I've needed replaced in a year. I chose another company last time too for the same reasons. Not everyone calls a glass repair company first before they file a claim with their insurance company. I understand the need to automate but in my case your automation system lost my business twice and for all future claims as well. You might consider updating your system to allow customers to input a claim number. read more

Horrible. Technician showed up , didn't know what piece of glass to replace. Couldn't match the factory tint. What ? Really ? This is a problem ? You've not faced this challenge before ? The glass is in your van , that shows you which piece to replace . I mean , in case you lost your work order . I told him to hit the bricks. He complained to ME that I wasn;t answering my phone while he was right there, outside my home, not fixing my windshield. Went with Glass Doctor . Needed glass replaced on both my vw and ford van They came out with no OEM. And did not reset and calibrate all the sensors. It's still 7 months later and no one has called me back for over 20 calls and messages. What a disgrace of a company. Never again. read more

Safelite came out to replace my rear window after it had shattered. The technician, however, broke the heating element on the replacement glass. He said he had to go back to their warehouse to try to fix the glass and would return sometime later that day. He also stated that he would lock my car, which he did not (I was notified via my app). The tech was unable to fix the heating element so they offered to install the glass anyway with the broken heating element or wait another two weeks for a new glass. I initially thought they were willing to install the glass with the broken heating element while I waited for the replacement. Nope. My options were to have them install the glass that they broke and take it as is or wait two weeks for a new one. They put the equivalent of saran wrap on the back of my window while I wait. I imagine it will last two days before it falls off while driving. Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment with them and am going with another company. read more

Well usually Safelite is the highest cost of windshield replacement. I don't carry comprehensive insurance so I had to get a few estimates. After calling a few local Kingman glass shops I decided to go with Safelite. They actually were the least expensive plus they came to my house. The price they charged was almost 100$ less than two other glass shops in Kingman. I will add this, if you go to Safelites website and do enough research, you find discounts being offered. But you have to take advantage of the discounts quickly because for some reason the discounts will disappear. But these discounts saved me almost a hundred bucks! I had a chip in my front car windshield 1. Super...Easy to make an appointment,... 2. The repairman, came right to my house to fix the chip. Anthony was very professional and was right on time. 3. If I could give zero stars I would. My appointment was scheduled for today from 8-12 at 12pm still no one one had shown up so I called talked to customer service after a 20 minute hold they couldn't reach the tech. They told me they would keep trying and call me back. At 3pm still no show nor a call back so I call them. I was on the phone for 45 minutes before someone finally "figured out" what was happening. The tech was "running behind from his first appointment". Unfortunately they would need to reschedule me. It took my entire day waiting around only to be told that I would have to reschedule completely unacceptable 0/10 do not waste your time. read more

poor service from this company , even our car insurance company not happy with Safelite. Insurance made an appointment with this company to come between 8am to 5pm. My husband called our car insurance and found out they canceled the appointment on Wednesday and our appointment was on Thursday. They never told our insurance company or us that they canceled. I canceled another appointment with someone else just so our Jeep would be at home for them to fix. My husband is a Navy Veteran with health problem and you didn't have the decency to tell us you weren't coming. You lost our service. read more

Leaving one star only because zero isn't an option. My husband scheduled windshield replacement for Monday, but they came out without the window gaskets. They rescheduled for Friday. Thursday we received a call to verify Fridays morning appointment. Friday they're a no-show. No answer at the office#. Called Safelite CS and they said we were scheduled for next week. They tried to reach the Kingman office, but again no answer. They even told us that they could see notes in my file showing that the manager was in my file this morning and changed the date WITHOUT A COURTESY PHONE CALL. Do yourself a favor, call anybody, and I mean anybody other than these guys. Worst customer service ever. read more

Had my driver's front window come of its rail in town. Traveling Show Low to Las Vegas.... They got me in immediately over lunch hour. Fixed the problem, charged me minimal for the labor, and did so in a pleasant office atmosphere. Suspect the negative reviews were an aberrency or a competitive shop. Couldn't have been happier with my experience at least. read more

If I could do a negative star for every time they had to come back out to my truck, I would. My drivers side window was broke, they pre-approved my claim with insurance and scheduled a tech, who broke the motor in the door, so he taped the window in place and left with a "we'll call you when the part comes in". They never called and obviously the tape didn't hold and the vehicle was undrivable for weeks. Finally they came out and did a temporary fix to keep the window up, but unable to roll down. 6 weeks later we called them and they "oh ya, that parts in..." and come out to replace the motor and left out a bolt, so the first time I rolled my window down it wouldn't roll back up. They came out to fix that and broke my door latch. Now I'm waiting weeks on end for that to get fixed. In the mean time... I was sent to collections for not paying the bill that was pre-approved to be paid 100% by insurance. Insurance still doesn't know about any glass claim. The most terrible, customer service I've ever had! From the techs, to the management, to the parts department and even billing! This whole business is beyond help. Update: safelight had submitted the claim wrong to my insurance saying it was a windshield, but charged for a drivers side door. At least my insurance company was able to get that fixed. In other news... safelight was supposed to be here Friday to fix my door. Never called, never showed. My door now has a rattle that wasn't there before and my door may or may not fly open when I hit a large bump, because the latch still isn't replaced. If I'm alive by the time they fix my door I'll update this review again. read more

Never used a 'come to you' windshield service before, despite living in Arizona and having had to replace 3 windshields cracked by heat over the past 12 years. This was a rock thrown by an 18 wheeler. The service arrived when they said they would, worked quickly and with expertise, explaining every step, and was gone in under 75 minutes, leaving behind very happy, satisfied customers. Nof only was the technician skilled, he was more than willing to explain every step and why it was necessary. Did not have to drop off at a shop and pick up at their convenience. I found myself out of town with a chip in my windshield. I called safelite, thinking I could get it fixed right away. I got an a representative on the phone who was less than helpful. I just wanted someplace to take my truck to get it fixed. They wanted my email to set up an appointment and send a confirmation. I explained that I was away from home, and did not want an email confirmation, I just wanted my windshield fixed. After much frustration, I gave up dealing with her. A person on the street recommended Jim's House of Glass on Airline. I went there and 10 or 15 minutes later, my windshield was expertly repaired. Will not bother with Safelight again. read more

Needed windshield replaced after being hit with object while driving. Called AAA and they set up my appt. for two days later. Safelite showed up and did an excellent job! I was on my way to Kingman Arizona when I got a rock chip in my Windshield I was only going to be in town for about two hours I called them they came to where I was and they fix the rock chip. When I came out I couldn't tell where the rock chip was. Perfect service thank you read more
