    Got a chip on my windshield, set up an appointment at 4:00 p.m. to get it repaired. The website says on it that any chip under 6in should be no problem. Well, unfortunately, I went to the worst glass repair place in Wisconsin. They bring the car in, and an hour later, right before they are supposed to close, they roll the car out and say this is the best we can do here, ya go. They let it leave looking like the picture I provided. It looks like they just put some Bondo in the middle and said here ya go. They said they rectified it because they didn't make us pay for it. Now I don't have a choice but to get it replaced. If I went anywhere else, they would have gotten it done no problem. They supposedly put three cycles of resin in the crack because it was so deep and so much material was missing, and that's why it looks like crap. That is such crap and what the real reasons were that they were trying to run out of the building as fast as they could at 5:00 p.m. That or they just want to waste a couple of bucks of resin so that they can get the big dollar ticket of a full windshield . When I brought up my issue with the manager, she was more than happy to get me a new windshield for the full price.She also said it wasn't their fault about the quality of the job and it was because of the chip. I said that was garbage and if they were anything they could do to help with a new windshield, and they just laughed and said " nope" and went back to be a record player of why it wasn't their fault and that they could happily get me a new windshield for the full price. I would leave a zero-star review if I could because now I have spent $200-300 more than I should have to because of a business doing crappy work and not caring about the people that pay their paycheck. I will be going out of my way to make sure to recommend people to go anywhere else but Safelite in Kenosha so that no more people get screwed over and waste money that they don't have.

    Tape used to hold broken piece in place

    Horrible Service. Technician Nicholas installed a replacement drivers side window and in the process damaged my door handle cable without informing me. For days my door would not latch properly if at all. Hours on the phone with Safelite resulted in a "we install glass not door parts, how could we have broken it". After taking it to a repair shop it was discovered that Nicholas broke a plastic piece of the door cable when removing the interior door panel. He then put it back in and held it in place with purple tape and never said anything to me about his error. Being honest and upfront with me about what happened could have prevented countless hours of lost time on my part and a much smaller repair bill. *Do not trust safelite with any repair unless you are watching them like a hawk. Do not leave them on their own so people like Nicholas can lie about any damage that may take place.

    SAFELITE SCRATCHED MY CAR VERY BAD!!! There was an inspection done by the police, prior to dropping off my vehicle to safelite. There were no damages/scratches on the body of the car, the only damage visible was the windshield. When I dropped off the vehicle to Safelite it needed a replacement windshield and the camera required a recalibration. They fixed it, and I picked my car up, when I got home I noticed scratches on the passenger side. I called safelite and the lady on the phone told me the scratches were already on the car, and the technician took a photo. I advised her of the inspection prior to drop off, and the scratches were in fact not on the vehicle. I requested all photos of my car with timestamps. She emailed me 1 photo of the scratches on the passenger side with a timestamp of 08/21/23 @12:08PM. Safelite sends live text and email updates of the repair process. I received a text on 08/21/23 at 11:02AM "YOUR REPLACEMENT SERVICE HAS STARTED" This confirms the technician took the photo of the damage a hour after he worked on my car. I received another update at 12:28pm "WE ARE WRAPPING UP YOUR RECALIBRATION" And finally the last update stating "TO ALLOW ADHESIVE TO SET PROPERLY YOUR TECHNICIAN HAS CALCULATED THE SAFE DRIVE-AWAY TIME TO BE 12:50PM" With that being said, the technician took the photo over a hour after the repair process started and 20 minutes before "wrapping up the recalibration to the camera" The scratches are all parallel to each other, located on the front passenger door. The scratches are all 9 inches above the rocker panel. There is a scratch 2 inches long then there is about 6 inches in-between to the 2nd set of scratches which are 2 inches long each. With another space in-between of about 6 inches to the 3rd scratch which is 4 inches long. All scratches running parallel to each other, with a total width of 18-20 inches from beginning to end. This has been a HORRIBLE experience!

    Glass Doctor replaced 2 large front entrance single pane windows with double pane argon-filled…read morelow-e windows. The work was done promptly, professionally and with good communication. Glass Doctor was one of three contractors I contacted. An appointment was set up in a matter of days. Tony, the franchise owner, stopped by to look at the job and give me a quote which I accepted. Within a matter of days, the craftsmen stopped by to do an accurate measure. Within about 2 weeks, the custom glass had been fabricated by a third-party local company and ready to install. An installation appointment was made. The craftsmen returned and installed the window. No drama. The only drama was watching these guys remove 60 years of frame, paint and caulk to release the existing windows (while on ladders) without breaking the glass. Fortunately, success. That's how you want the job to go and it did. Tony, the franchise owner whose business card reads "All Around Good Guy" may be. But he's more of a generalist and not the glass specialist. He did a rough measure and used his (I'm speculating here) franchise software on his computer to give me a quote. Although this was the only one (of three) contractors who responded, I'd researched this project and Tony's quote was consistent with what I anticipated. Also, cold weather was coming and Tony closed this deal by indicating the project could be completed in a matter of weeks. In the moment I took him at his word. I was more comfortable when the craftsmen came by a few days later and did the precise measure and put their eyes on the project. The work is really about the framing and installation and we had a good discussion about fit and finish. Besides arranging the various appointments, the office also facilitated my getting a copy of the contractor liability insurance. On installation day, the craftsmen put down mats over the interior floor and constantly vacuumed the debris coming off the old frames. A power saw was set up on the driveway to cut the new frames. When done, everything was swept up and carried away. Not left as construction debris for me to get rid of. Overall the process was effective and, fortunately, the workmanship was professional. Put this in the win column.

    I have had my car washed many times here at Gerber Collision & Glass. Although I have not needed…read moretheir other services, I am very happy with the car wash area. I love the location which is on the north side of town just east of Green Bay Road on Washington Road. It's so easy to get to and usually is not too busy. They offer self serve vacuuming, drive through washing, waxing and drying. Once you purchase the type of wash you'd like at a machine while still in your car, you then pull into a spacious and clean garage for an automated touchless car wash. The most expensive option offers under carriage rinse, full wash and wax and then a blow dry type exit. Then outside there is a man who hand dries all vehicles for a more complete service. Wow! All that for approximately $10!! The dry guys are always so friendly. They smile and wave hello before they get busy wiping off any remaining water from your car. It's done quickly and with a big wave goodbye, you are on your way. Whenever I am in town, I make sure to stop by Gerber for a quick clean up!

Once my car was done i talked to a women named Jennifer she was very helpful on what to do with the payment and rental. They pulled the car up and IT LOOK LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED WOW. Gary was awesome he went over my car and made me feel like a family member. Thanks to all the employees in the back that fixed my car. I will definitely come back for there service and expertise, hopefully not soon lol.
