Brian gave me the estimate for it, and I realized it was outside of what I could afford. Brian asked the right questions to get me to figure out the best budget for me. It took a few months for me to make up my mind, but Brian was very patient with me and worked with me to make my purchase. I explained when I needed it delivered to my hotel exactly. it didn't arrive, I called Brandon was absolutely rude, said " I couldn't read your mind about when you wanted it. what do you expect." I told him it was on the order exactly. He agreed to deliver it. We drove it to the bus at the curb. it never started again. We left it at hotel, asked Brandon to come. He came, replaced battery , I asked him to wait 15 minutes until I got to hotel to demonstrate how to use it. He refused. He responded to my complaint "This ain't no valet service. I can't stand around here. The next morning (it remained plugged in all night). It ran long enough to put on bus, but when we got to Black Mountain it wouldn't start. Following his instructions my bus driver removed and reset the battery to no avail. I asked Brandon to come get it and bring another cart. He says he returned to hotel and it was working fine. I said obviously we need instruction on using. He refused. So I paid for 2 days, never got to use it. He agreed to refund half (one day) rental. I think it is time to call American Express for assistance. I don't recommend this business.

We'll have nothing good to say about rude the stairs. I had been referred to them by an 80 year old…read morefriend of mine that spoke highly of them. So I called and got a quote for $4095 to install on 14 steps and a date to install them. The next morning I decided to google the least expensive stair lifts I could find and actually placed an order with ameraglide for the same amount of stairs only a different brand for $3280 and I get $208 of taxes back when I get a doctors note sent in. So I called Ride the stairs back and told them to cancel my appointment that I just bought another one cheaper instead. Randy White the owner asked me why basically didn't I call him first to give him a chance so I said can you get me one out the door for $3000 and he had to call me back and then said yes he could. I later had called and canceled the one from ameriglide and returned a call to Randy to let him know that i was going to buy from him but asked for one more favor before I do. He said what's that? I said can you give my friend that referred me to him $100. Mind you my friend paid full price of $3998 for a stair lift back in 2022 for almost half the stairs I have. He said he would half to get back to me on that. Next thing I know I get a text message from I'm assuming was his wife also co-owner saying that they appreciate me considering them but they felt that I was no longer a good fit for them! Over a $100 referral that they could have told me they couldn't do. I called to speak to Randy to find out why he decided not to deal with me anymore but got his very rude wife that wouldn't listen to anything and refused to let me speak to her husband whom I had been dealing with all along. She was very ugly towards me and said I was being ugly because I kept trying to talk to her to figure out why when I truly wasn't being ugly I was just upset and completely blown away that they would turn down a deal for a $100 referral to a man who's 80 years old and paid way too much apparently for their chair lift. Because if they can cut the price by $1095 to sell it to me and still make a good profit (and you know they must be) they could have given him the $100 referral which he had no clue that I was trying to get it for him. But my friend knows now so I'm sure he won't refer them to anyone else. So I guess it's safe to say they are very greedy and selfish. And even though I tried to reason with them and not even expect them to do the $100 referral so that I could get the stair lift installed the same week for my husband who has a bad back, severe knee issues and a shoulder injury he has to have surgery for, they completely shut me down. It was very upsetting for me because now my husband has to wait 2 weeks to get his other chair installed and I have to watch his agonizing pain as he pulls himself up the stairs with a bad shoulder because his knees are way worse. I tried to explain that to them also in a text message since they wouldn't speak to me on the phone. But I guess they could care less. Which is very obvious to me they care less about the people and more about the money. I did go back to ameriglide and they welcomed me back with open arms and even offered to give me a gift card since ride the stairs wouldn't. Ride the stairs has a better warranty which is why I originally chose them but who's to say they would actually honor it. I'm sure they will have lots of things to say about my review and thats fine. But I have no reason to lie. As a matter of fact I can't stand a liar. And I hate doing reviews on people, but when it hits me this personal then I post one. I will say Randy seems like the better one to deal with and his wife seems to be the one that is mostly selfish, heartless, rude and greedy! It's up to you if you want to deal with people that don't care about other people. I would recommend going elsewhere. Ameriglide was wonderful to me!
