I used to love going to Pier 121 when they had live music. I'd love to try it again when they open back up for this season.

I went to Safe Harbor Pier 121 for Charlie's Lakeside Bar & Grill soft opening. Fantastic place! Opened now on weekends with bands etc.

One of the worst marinas on the lake! Last time I was at the restaurant it was overpriced and not that great of a menu. I've had employees tell me that I can't fish in the marina because the marina owns the water claiming it is navigable water for the marina. Had to have the game warden explain that the laws say differently. They were very upset to hear that they were wrong! To top it all off they have locked me in, in the past. Since summer months tend to be hot I like to fish at night to beat the heat. Can't launch from this boat ramp! They close the gates around 8pm or so in the summer. I do not understand why people would waste their money here!? I mean did you see what that storm did to this marina 2 years ago?? Not only are they terrible people but they can't even build a solid marina. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO TOWER BAY, DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!! read more

Unbelievable! Worst customer service ever! Please bring back Fair Winds. Look at this pic! We were told that we couldn't sit anywhere in the restaurant without a 45 minute wait with all these open tables. All these open tables were supposedly "reserved". Save your time and money. It's difficult to leave a one star review but Yelp won't allow me to leave zero stars. As a covered boat storage customer, the service is undeniably terrible. Careful renting here. If they find you are not storing your boat in your space often enough, they will cut your lock (twice) and allow slip renters to store their boat in your space during times of freezing or bad weather. DEAD. SERIOUS. Even though I am still liable for damages on a space in my name, they don't see a problem with it. I can't even go into all the reasons why this is so wrong. Shady story still because there is no way the owner of that boat is paying for a slip. A year's worth of slip fees is probably worth more than that junk. They don't keep track of who is putting their boat in your space so if there were damages - who knows who it was. I was also told I would definitely not be getting a refund on both the locks they've cut. It took two days of phone calls for them to tow someone else's boat out of our space and they never once offered a space for us to put our boat in the meantime. After the boat was removed, I asked for the Hull number so that I could look into filing a police report. We haven't been storing our boat at that lake for several months (although we remained active paying customers fulfilling our contract), so we have no idea how long they've allowed any boat to have a storage space courtesy of us. I was they will not give me any information because the situation is NONE OF MY BUSINESS. Wow. Rent a covered space here if you'd like to pay $203 a month for a year to maybe have a storage space. After this experience, I honestly believe they would pull your boat out and store it in the uncovered junk yard to allow a slip owner to store their boat during inclement weather. Yes, I truly believe that. I've never been treating so poorly and like I'm the bad guy in a situation where I have zero fault. read more

Probably the trashiest lake Park in Dallas. Dog poop in bags but no where to throw it out so people just leave it. Rib and chicken bones thrown carelessly next to the picnic pavilions. Beer bottles everywhere. Trash everywhere. It was more cared for when it was free. Now they charge money to come to the lake park and don't even manage it. Gross is the only word I have for this place. read more

I do not have a boat here, but we come to be on a friends boat. We hope to be in the future, residents here. But for now we just visit and it's a very nice pier with a lot of accommodations for it's renters. It's huge, we seem to walk forever. I love passing the front entrance and seeing the boats for sale. Hopefully one day sooner than later we will own our own boat. But for now I get to drool over everyone else's. I will report back one day with buyer feedback. :) read more

The staff at pier 121 always seems to have an indifferent attitude towards members even though you are paying to be a member at the marina, whenever you have an issue it's not their problem. From people breaking into units and stealing your wakeboards lifejackets etc. off your boat and management asking you to not do a yelp review and never following up with looking at the on site cameras when you give them a two day window to find the thieves. Letting other people park and lock trailers in your spot and never getting them towed yet still charging you rent for a year. Deactivating key cards without warning so when you go to get your boat to go out of town you have to reschedule because they can't do anything after hours. But they always seem to charge the Amex every month without fail. Management never following up, and they wonder why people come in to the office upset, maybe they should ask why? Or how can we resolve the issue instead they say fill out the non renewal form. read more

Pier 121/Safe Harbor Marinas deserve zero stars. I will refrain from saying what I really want to say about this group of people. Instead, I will present the facts of what they did to me. Please be aware of what you're getting yourself into with this group of people before you elect to do business with them. In January of 2018 I was in the process of closing a deal on my first boat, a 30' cabin cruiser. Since I've never owned a boat before, I was trying to organize everything beforehand so there would be no surprises. My plan was to secure a slip, complete the purchase, clean the boat at home and take it to a marina for use during the 2018 summer season. I visited Pier 121 on the morning I was to close the deal on the boat and found it to be acceptable, rented a slip for $500 a month and gave them $500. I purchased the boat, trailered it home and began the make ready process. While preparing the boat for summer, I discovered many issues that were not disclosed and realized that moving the boat to the marina was not going to happen anytime soon. They wouldn't let me out of the rental agreement but offered to push the "move in date" up a couple of months. during that time I discovered issues with the stringers and the engine. Pier 121 began deducting their $500 slip rental fee from my checking account. This went on for several months and finally after realizing the boat wasn't going to make it this summer, I asked them to rent the slip to someone that could use it. The lease agreement clearly states that the slip can be leased in this situation. This request accompanied another months $500 slip rental. They made no effort to rent that slip (for all I know, they rented it and were collecting money on it from 2 sources). Finally after having given these idiots $1534.81 in rental fees after never stepping foot in the place again (after the first visit) I sent a letter to Natasha Satterfield the "Accounts Receivable Specialist", receding their ability to ACH debit my account and received confirmation that she would not debit my account again. The next month comes around and Natasha Satterfield takes money out of my account anyway, completely disregarding the fact that I had rescinded their right to do so (in violation of federal law I might add). I email this woman and demanded she reverse the charges and she did, but for the wrong amount! When I emailed her back, the email bounced with "Blocked" as the reason. I then tried to email other people she had cc'd on the email and they all bounced with the word "Blocked". I thought this was the end of it until one night 4 weeks ago when I was served with a small claims lawsuit for $4000.00. The suit, by the way, was sloppy with "refuses to pay slip rental" hand written on a sheet of paper. They couldn't even do that right! In the end, my lawyer settled with some guy named John Swick, claiming to be a "regional manager" for an additional $1900.00. So to be clear, I stepped in this place once, just once. They made zero attempts to rent that slip knowing full well I would not be able to use it. These people took $3,475.19 of my hard earned money for doing absolutely nothing. Now, I take some responsibility here because I rented that slip but I tried to do the right thing but they had no interest in that, they just wanted free money. And get this, I emailed this John Swick guy asking for an address to send a certified check and also letting him know that I felt like I was totally taken advantage of and he couldn't be bothered to respond to me. Instead, he emailed my lawyer whining, just a pathetic, slimy man. So you decide for yourself if this is what you want to get into, god knows, had I known I wouldn't have stepped foot in the place. I think these people are, sloppy, greedy, unorganized and totally out for the money. Just a pathetic situation.. Good riddance Marina 121 and not so "Safe Harbor" marinas. Instead of treating me with compassion & understanding due to my lack of boat knowledge, they elected to take advantage of me. I could have been talking them up to all me friends, but instead, they created an enemy. read more

Aside from a place to store your boat, Pier 121 has an impressive offering on Lake Lewisville. Hungry? Pier 121 is the home of Charlie's, the best food on the lake. Catch a live band out on the patio or slip inside to catch the ball game. Also at Pier 121 is Marine Maxx's on water showroom, and the brand new fuel dock. Pier 121 hosts several concerts and events during the year as well. read more

We have been slipping there for 5 years. First year was $2,800. Last year it went up to $3,200. Now we just got a bill for $5K. Ridiculous. They claim new customer services, but they charge for everything. Wifi? We go that for $50/month, but next year it's gonna be $100/month. Worst ever. read more

To whom may I speak to report a Member? On 8/1/2020 at approximately 7:52pm, my wife and I were exiting the marina. As a infrequent visitor, I found myself in line for the Member Exit Lane. As the car in front of me exited, I saw the Member Lane Only sign. I did not advance, opened my sunroof and waved the black pickup truck honking behind me to pass me on the right and go around me because clearly I need to back up to position myself in the appropriate lane. The 4-door black pickup truck and young driver was flipping me off as he drove by. I opened my driver side door to have a discussion with the young man regarding etiquette. As I did so, two other young men opened their vehicle doors. One was brandishing a firearm. I would like to file a report. Please reply back with the appropriate contact. read more

Boat lovers BEWARE 121 Marina is under new management. I went in to try and rent a slip for coming season. I was treated with casual indifference and lack of help. It seems the construction is their primary focus these days. My treatment was far from what you should expect when spending that much on their Marina. Myself and 7 others rented a boat we could use to tube. The employees were quick to get us in the boat and have us take off, which was a positive. After getting out onto the lake we noticed our tube that they included for us was already deflated. We called and let them know what happened and told us to come back for a new one. We appreciated the fact that they were on the dock ready with a new tube right when we brought the deflated tube back. However, we did call and ask if we could pay for an extra hour with the boat that we rented and they were short with us and told us that if we were even a minute pass our 6 o clock deadline they would charge us an extra 50$. It seemed like they were trying to head home early this particular day. It was a fun time and pier 121 has plenty of boats/pontoons to choose from. read more

Beautiful Marina with recent upgrades and very happy with my Pier 121 slip. Of particular interest is my slip is located near the Members Restrooms and I gotta say these bathrooms are the cleanest you'll find anywhere, and with showers (!)....a great benefit to be able to recommend with full confidence to the females spending time with me at the Pier that the nearby, security entranced bathrooms are super clean and sanitary. I can't say enough great things about them. We love the restaurant and the newly updated slips and their customer service is friendly and helpful. I had my boat at Pier 121 for 10 years . the first 7 years were great. I was paying about $4500.00 a year for my slip. Then safe Harbor took over. Sean McNamara raised my slip fees over $2,300.00 in 2 years. When we complained he said to my Brother. " If you don't like it get your boat and get the F@@K out of my Marina". Real professional people there. They charge for your guests to come to the Marina. The S dock I was on was falling apart. I did not have power on my slip for over 2 years. They told me to run my shore power under the dock to plug into another one. That right there is against the corps of engineers rules but they did not care. Then they starting charging for your guests. Who does that? Then they told me they would not renew my lease and I had 10 days to get my boat out. So everything was fine until they took over then I am a bad guy after 10 years of no issues. After moving to Hidden Cove I realized just how bad Pier 121 was. I found Hidden Cove Marina not far away and this place is awesome!! I am saving over $3,000.00 a year. Everyone is nice. They have a good restaurant , water sports rentals as well as cabin rentals. Now I am at a great Marina Hidden Cove that thinks for its customers and not just the almighty dollar. Plus I am saving over $3,000.00 a year. read more

We have our sailboat here and are very impressed with the management of the marina. The Suntex team is always friendly and wanting to help. The recent flooding has really caused problems for them and they have been very proactive in keeping the marina running and communicating the status to members. read more

The new Rockin S Bar and Grill is amazing! They did a great job remodeling this place! Lots of outdoor seating as well as recliner lounges water side. Great food! Bring some bread or crackers to feed the fish if you have little ones - the lil ones can even fish off the deck while you eat. Live music on Saturday night. We will definitely be back! They have 4 locations too! read more
