Recently Brownie really looked in pain and Dr. Petty got him in to examine. We could not get into the Ophthaologist until several weeks later. The pressure in his right eye was extremely high indicating glaucoma related. Tried medication for a week but no improvement. It was recommended that the eye be removed. Surgery was done at PPAH and the difference in my dog is remarkable. Leading a better life. Dr. Petty communicated thoroughly on all aspects of the situation and surgery. Confidence level is high with PPAH.

I have been taking my dog there for anal glad expressions for years, every 3 months. Every single time they tack on another dollar. If that wasn't enough, they recently added an extra $10 charge to help pay their staff. Aren't employee costs already included to your fee structure? Ridiculous! When my dog needed his next rabies shot, they couldn't just charge me for the shot. They had to charge me for an exam as well as the cost of the rabies shot! Another example; My dog has high blood pressure and is on medication. I was fine with checking the blood pressure a few times to ensure that the medication is correct and at the correct dose for treatment. But of course they want it done continuously (unnecessarily) so they can get more money from you (and charge the additional $10 fee to pay their employees). The last straw for me is when I called to refill his prescription (March), they told me they would not refill unless I brought him for another blood pressure check and they said it was due back in December. Well why wasn't I told that during the exam / rabies shot in January (by the owner of the place, who did the exam)!!??? Not the first time I have encountered management issues there. My advice, go somewhere else who doesn't try to nickel and dime you to death!!
