He started cleaning our couch but later realized that he won't be able to help so was very honest and told us to get it steam cleaned. Didn't even charge for the work he had already done. I had a series of issues with this company when moving out of my rental. The quote was outrageous but I needed to get this done as per of the rental agreement. I had scheduled a time but they had sent a confirmation of the wrong time and sent a tech at the wrong time. After I called to correct that, the tech came out and had forgot a piece of equipment, delaying the start time. This was important since it pushed out the finish time. The tech struggled to get the carpet cleaner up and down the stairs which led to a lot of banging on the steps. The tech finished much faster than expected and I noticed, when checking his work, that the carpet didn't feel very damp like it had been cleaned. The quote was for a "deep clean" but the carpet just seemed like it was vacuumed. The tech nearly rushed out after he was done, which was strange considering he was chatty in the beginning. The whole experience was shady. I WOULD NOT recommend the using this company. Maybe you'll have better luck but you need to watch the tech to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to. I did try to contact Safe-Dry to advise of the negligent work but they are impossible to reach if you need more than just scheduling. read more

Called the company at 3:30 and finally reached someone after calling 6 or 7 times, was told someone would call me and speak with me about the technician not being on time. Never heard from anyone. Just don't do it. Look at their BBB profile and at their poor reviews. You do not want to gamble with which version of this company you end up dealing with. The customer service provided by this company has been the most shameful and unethical handling of an issue I have ever experienced. I schedule an upholstery cleaning for my sectional. The tech arrives late, assesses my couch, and quotes me $350. I find this estimate to be high, but consider it an investment in a couch that is only 8 months old, and is the first new piece of furniture I have ever purchased. To my surprise, the technician is finished with this $350 service in only 45 minutes (how is a service that expensive done in 45 minutes?) Also, it is done with some cleaning solution and a rag. Nothing fancy and nothing you could not do yourself. The technician seems to notice that not only did no blemishes come out of the fabric after the cleaning, but the couch has obvious dark marks and white residue from the cleaning. He tells me the fabric usually looks better in a couple of hours once it has completely dried. I go to work and come home hours later, and my upholstery looks terrible. There is white residue and large dark spots all over the couch. My husband comes home and notices the poor quality and immediately starts questioning who this company is and if I looked into them thoroughly. I end up sending an email that evening, in which I explain my dissatisfaction and send photos of the fabric. It is never responded to. 3 days later, I call the company. I tell them I want a refund per the guarantee they advertise all over their website. They offer to re-do the service, which I say no to, considering the fabric is in worse shape than before the service was performed. Days later, I have to call again, and the woman on the phone says they can send a refund the next week. At first I agree, but after talking to my husband, he advises me to not accept a refund as the only solution, because our furniture has been considerably damaged by whatever process they use. I also do not agree to a refund because there are lots of reviews where promised refunds were never received, even after weeks. I am told Blake, a supervisor, will call me back in 30 minutes. I wait by my phone until their office closes and never receive a phone call. I call the office at a later day and talk to Blake, a supervisor, who turned out to be an actual nightmare. Blake tells me he did call me (a blatant lie, that can be quickly fact-checked by referencing my call log). I explain my issue and he tells me that the tech told him I was planning on throwing my couch out because of its condition (another blatant lie - why would I invest $350 in something I plan to get rid of?) Blake asks if a manager can come out to my home that afternoon. I re-arrange my work schedule to make sure I am at home to show this manager the damage. I receive a text hours later that the original tech is coming out. I call Blake. He says the tech is going to re-do the service, even though I have expressed I do not want them touching my upholstery again. So, saying a manager would come out was yet another lie. I tell him to please tell his tech to not come. The tech comes anyway, and I have to send him away. I call Blake again, and explain that I have spoken to a business litigation attorney who was shocked by my experience and ready to represent me in being reimbursed for the damages. Blake then tells me that an owner will call me on Monday. Up to this point, Blake has told me there is no one above him who I can speak to. Another lie. Over the weekend, I am dreading talking to this owner because I don't want to be lied to again and treated so poorly. I end up spending my Sunday cleaning the couch myself - I call the manufacturer and find out the cushions are removable and laundry safe. I wash the cushions with powdered Tide. Thankfully, the spots I paid to be removed - and the dark residue and water marks left behind by the cleaning - both come out. So, essentially, a basic cleaning solution restored my fabric in a way that this incredibly expensive service could not. Not surprisingly, the owner never calls anyway. Another lie. On the BBB website, many customers have been promised refunds and after weeks, never received one. I have issued a charge dispute with my bank, because it seems like the best chance I have to get my money back. Just don't do it. They have unethical business practices and do not deserve your hard-earned money. They count on wearing their customers down until they give up. Do not be tricked into feeling secure in their satisfaction guarantee or that they are insured. If you choose to use this company, you are running the risk of being talked down to and lied to in the case of any issues arising. I never leave poor reviews but my infuriating, actually unbelievable experience with this company has caused me to make an exception. I do NOT recommend these people for area rug cleaning! They completely changed the background color of a cream colored rug to a dark tan. Then they got some sort of black greese on another white one that they couldn't get out. Two reps picked them up, moving furniture to roll them up and take them out. But, they sent 1 guy out to deliver them. At this point, he informed me that they don't move furniture, after he reluctantly moved a table and put the rug back down. When the rugs were unrolled that were ruined, I told him I did not want to pay for any of them until the job was done. He said they had done their job, cleaned the carpets, and I should pay. I talked to his supervisor, who said I could pay when the job was completed. 5 min. later, he is back at my front door with a 20% discount if I paid at that moment. I said I would wait until the job was done. I then, a few days later, get a text that the rugs would be delivered on Thursday. No one came or called. Then I got a call from some girl with an out of state number who said they would need "a little more love" and would deliver them on Saturday. On Sat., I got a call from the rep again that they were not going to be able to get them clean. They deducted the cleaning price of the 2 carpets that they ruined and gave me a percentage off the others. The rugs they destroyed were worth $500.00. I paid them and I will never use them again. I have always used Fred Remmers. Wanted to give these folks a chance, but I will go back to Remmers next time! Save yourself some trouble and call Fred Remmers. They move furniture when taking the rugs out, and putting them back, plus, they get them clean properly...prices were the same. read more

I used them when I was moving out of an apartment because my complex was really strict about their carpets and pet smells and stains. I called them and they told me about their pet odor remover which was guaranteed, so I thought it was perfect. They were able to come the next day which was a plus. When he arrived, I told him about the strict policy and again was reassured it would be no problem. Afterwards, the apartment smelt awful which they said was normal it took about 24 hours for everything to calm down. Well my apartment people came in a few days later and said the smell was so bad they opened the windows and left. They gave it a few more days and went back and said it was even worse. The smell was worse than when I moved out. Well I didn't hear back from my apartment for about a week when they told me. I then called Safe-Dry since it had a money back guarantee and I left a voicemail. Didn't hear back for a few days and called again. I was able to get a quick date for my carpet to be cleaned. I just purchased a home and wanted the carpets cleaned due to the long wait for getting new carpet placed down. The estimate I was given was $610 for my home and was for a deep clean to guarantee the concerns I had would be cleaned without a doubt other than one spot. Long story short my carpet looks exactly the same. I called to speak to a supervisor/Manager and one never got on the phone or called back like promised. The did send the same guy out after I asked for someone different that showed up over an hour and a half late to go back over my carpet. I then still had all of the same issues. I called bs k again and was placed on hold for thirty minutes and then hung up on. To replace my carpet was $830. I explained to the customer service rep & technician no one would agree to pay that amount with feeling reassured the job would get done and done properly!
