My older child (now 5) graduated from Safari, and my younger one is currently enrolled. The growth, curiosity, and confidence I've seen in both of them have been incredible. From the very beginning, Safari Kids has been supportive and nurturing not just in academic development, but emotional and social growth as well. There's a good balance of academics, arts and crafts, and activities. My oldest came home every day excited to share what he learned -- from phonics, numbers, and early reading skills to big, thoughtful topics like the circle of life, recycling, the planets, and more. The arts and crafts activities also helped spark his creativity. I was constantly amazed by how much he knew -- sometimes even more than what I'd expect from a kindergartner! One of the moments that really stood out for me was when we welcomed a new baby at home. The transition was a bit hard on my older child, but the teachers handled it with such care. They encouraged him to bring family photos and share stories about his baby brother during show and tell. That simple gesture helped him feel seen and proud in his new role as a big brother. Now, with my younger child just three months into Safari (after previously being in home daycare), I'm already seeing tremendous growth. He adjusted quickly thanks to the warm, welcoming teachers -- and the daily updates and photos helped ease the transition for us too. He's now picking up new words daily and becoming more expressive and independent. The teachers at Safari Kids truly care, and it shows in everything they do. This is a school with a strong sense of community, the teachers know all the kids (even if not in same classroom) and the parents invite other kids to birthday parties. I highly recommend Safari Kids to other parents as an enriching place for their children to grow.

From the very beginning, the staff were welcoming, and supportive. Our child's journey through preschool has been filled with so many beautiful memories, milestones, and moments of growth - and the teachers have played an important role in it. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and play-based activities. It has nurtured curiosity, encouraged creativity, and helped build the foundation for lifelong learning and friendship. We have seen our child grow in confidence, kindness and joy, and we are so grateful for the positive, caring environment. Communication with the school has been good. We receive regular updates, photos, and newsletters, which help us stay connected to what's happening in the classroom. As any other parent we also had certain concerns/suggestions, the staff were open for feedback and addressed our concerns. The facilities are clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed for young learners. Overall, I recommend Safari Kid, Union City to any parent looking for a positive and well-rounded early education experience. As my child is all set to start Kindergarten, a special shout out to the teachers - Ms. Sarbani, Ms. Maliha, Ms. Sathyam, Ms. Shobha, Ms. Anu and Ms. Shailaja - Thank you again! Not only were they one of the more reasonably priced places around, the quality of their curriculum, facilities, and attitude of the staff & admin have been beyond expectations. They are truly happy to learn and to engage with other kids. The flexibility of the scheduling and tuition has also been very helpful as many life changing events happened with us over the last year or so with me working full time. Ms Sonal and her team have all been so accommodating, even helping my son with his potty training journey. The rooms are very well-decorated, facilities are kept very clean, and they have a genuine connection to the students there. Our daughter is now in their preschool class, and has blossomed so much over the years, thanks to the director Nithya and all the teachers. The academic curriculum is excellent, every week they learn so many new things, math, science, English.. along with fun projects, which encourages kids to be handson and creative while learning key concepts :) Their newly introduced text books are great, it's very helpful to revise what they've been learning at school. It's so thoughtfully authored by the school's director herself. It's just one example of how much she personally cares about the kids and their growth. Apart from the excellent academics, this a school that really cares about each and every kid :) which is so important during early childhood.

I'm sharing my personal experience with Little Steps STEAM Preschool after my daughter attended for…read morea little over a year. I know there are many positive reviews, and those reviews influenced our decision to enroll, which is why I feel it's important to share our experience as well. When my daughter joined at 18 months after transitioning from a nanny, she adjusted wonderfully. Her initial teacher was great, and the school had a warm, home-based daycare feel. At that time, we were happy with our decision. Over time, however, several concerns developed. Teacher turnover & communication: We experienced multiple teacher changes with limited communication about the transitions or replacement teachers. Daily communication was also fairly basic, usually covering eating, sleeping, and bowel movements, with little information about activities, learning, or how the day went. I raised this with the director multiple times but did not see meaningful improvement. Preschool environment: As my daughter got older, I was looking for a more structured preschool environment before kindergarten. In my experience, the facility felt more like a home-based daycare than a structured preschool. I recommend visiting in person and deciding whether the environment matches your expectations. Organization: I also had concerns about organization and cleanliness. The entrance frequently had backpacks, bottles, milk, and lost-and-found items in open areas. This may be subjective, but it did not meet my personal expectations for a preschool. Fees & policies: Read the enrollment agreement very carefully. There are multiple additional fees and specific rules covering materials, annual registration, books, diaper changing, uniforms, tardiness, and withdrawal/notice requirements. Some fees are non-refundable. I misunderstood the withdrawal requirement and ultimately lost my deposit. Although disappointing, I decided that continuing enrollment simply because of the financial loss was not right for our family. Parking & drop-off: Parking can be challenging during morning drop-off due to limited spaces. Combined with strict tardiness charges, this made an already busy morning more stressful for us. Licensing: I strongly recommend reviewing California Child Care Licensing records in addition to Google reviews. An April 2026 licensing report documents regulatory citations. Go to Google.com and type "little steps steam preschool license number XXX citation". You will see details of citation, I am not allowed to post links here. There was also a September 4, 2026 site visit/complaint investigation. At the time of writing, that report has not yet appeared in the public online records. A notice posted at the facility indicates that Type A and Type B violations were issued. I am intentionally not interpreting the violations and encourage parents to review the official documentation themselves once available. Every family can have a different experience. I'm sharing ours because I wish I had considered these factors before enrollment. If you are considering this school, visit in person, ask detailed questions about teacher turnover and communication, understand all fees and withdrawal requirements, and review the state licensing records before making your decision.

One thing that has been a delightful surprise is his love for dance. The school has weekly dance sessions where the kids are taught a new song and routine regularly, and he now dances at home with so much enthusiasm. It is wonderful to see that kind of joy come out of him. The summer camp experience was fantastic. The kids were exposed to a variety of outdoor games and activities that kept them engaged, active, and excited. The science fair was another highlight where our son got to present on the solar system, a proud moment for us as parents. The curriculum also covered the life cycle of a plant and all its parts, which he came home talking about in detail. It is clear the teachers make learning interactive and memorable. The themed weeks are a great touch. Each week has a focus area, and the kids do art and craft activities around that theme. He always comes home with his artwork, which we love keeping. Story time and circle time are clearly favorites for him too, and we can see how these routines are building his listening and communication skills. What stands out just as much is the staff. Every single morning and evening, the teachers greet both the kids and the parents with warmth and genuine happiness. The energy they bring is infectious, and you can see it reflected in how cheerful the kids are. We never drop him off to a quiet or indifferent environment. It always feels welcoming. A special mention to the wonderful team of teachers, Aparna, Fatima, Hinal, Laxmi, Pooja, and Aamina, each of whom has contributed to making his time here so enriching and fun. We also want to highlight Teacher Ratna, who went above and beyond during what was a significant transition for our family. We are relocating back to our home country, and she handled the entire process with such grace and genuine care. She prorated our tuition without hesitation, prioritising our situation over any financial consideration, and was consistently supportive and understanding throughout. That kind of integrity and human touch is rare, and we are truly grateful. Communication from the school is excellent. We receive updates every other day on the WhatsApp group with photos and a rundown of what the kids have been up to. As parents, that kind of visibility and transparency means a lot. The progress report they shared gave us a clear picture of where he stands developmentally and what he has been working on, which we really appreciated. Overall, this has been one of the best decisions we made for our son. He is learning, growing, making friends, and most importantly, he loves going to school. Highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing, engaging, and communicative environment for their child.

After taking a tour of the property we were so impressed that we moved our son immediately. We couldn't be happier with our experience and our decision. She goes above and beyond to make the daycare fun, not just for the children, but for the entire community of parents and staff. You can see it for yourself in the energy and happiness on the faces of the teachers during drop-off and pick-up times. We have loved the special events they host all the time, like the wonderful Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, the bubble show, the animal petting zoo, and even the ice cream truck for families! The director, Ms. Ruchi, is wonderful, soft-spoken, and makes us feel right at home. She is always so reachable whenever we need her. Furthermore, they provide wonderful, healthy breakfast and lunch options, most of it prepared by Usha Ji herself and they make sure the kids are always well-fed. We also appreciate how our son comes home every Friday with so many activities he's completed during the week, which keeps us well-informed about exactly what he is learning. The added sports class on Fridays is a fantastic bonus, too. Choosing My Mother's Hug was one of the best decisions we've made for our son. We highly recommend this place to any family!!

She keeps up with every kid, greeting and saying bye to everyone she comes across. Literally every teacher either of my kids had was fantastic. Every last one we've had is a fantastic combination of caring, disciplined, and passionate at what they do. Even teachers my daughter hasn't had yet know her and have established a relationship so she's comfortable with everyone. And, notably, previous teachers still greet my daughter - and everyone even remembers our older son, who has just finished 3rd grade. The curriculum is top notch as well. We really appreciate how well the school has supported our children in learning their alphabet, counting, and myriad other topics - our oldest is now a top student due in no small part to KinderCare's solid foundation. But it's not just the academic side of things we like: they've been a great partner in developing interpersonal skills and instilling core concepts like sharing, respect, cleaning up, etc. They were also very helpful with potty training and eating balanced meals. They also have loads of educational and outdoor toys that both our kids loved playing with. KinderCare makes things easy in many other ways. One highly underrated area is their hours: I can drop off early enough to make it up to SF but late enough to still pick up - plus they're open so many days of the year, like my wife or I almost never have to take a vacation day due to KinderCare being closed (they're closed pretty close to the holiday schedule typically of an office job - e.g. no 1- or 2-week holidays for them!). Their app makes it easy to keep up on everything - meals, diaper changes/bathroom trips, activities, and even pictures so we can see who our kids have been hanging out with. Even their payments are super easy - you can pay by credit card and put it on autopay. We don't have any more kids but I never hesitate to sing KinderCare's praises to friends with little ones. And I can vouch for the brand - I went to a KinderCare myself decades ago as well!

We have had such a wonderful and positive experience with Empire Montessori Preschool in Fremont!…read moreIt is such a safe and caring space for our child; a home away from home. Our child has been part of the Empire community since age two, and over the years we have watched so much growth and development happen here. We are incredibly grateful to the teachers and school leadership for the care, patience, encouragement, and support they have provided throughout each stage of our child's growth, including supporting Mandarin learning. *AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM* Review: Now that our child is attending a Mandarin Immersion TK program, we feel very fortunate that we can continue our child's education at Empire through their After-School Program, generally from around noon to closing time. This was an easy choice for our family because we wanted our child to continue learning in an environment that already knows, supports, and understands how to help our child grow. The monthly rate is very, very reasonable, and includes a healthy delicious daily lunch as well! One of the things we appreciate most is how personalized the after-school learning is. The teachers evaluate each child's current level and thoughtfully prepare exercises, activities, and worksheets specifically for the children in both English and Mandarin. We love that the program isn't simply a place for our child to go after school. Our child continues to be challenged, engaged, and supported academically and emotionally. Most of his key skills development has been a direct result of being at Empire. Empire Montessori has been such an important part of our child's early education, and we are so thankful for the teachers and leadership who have supported our child along the way. We highly recommend Empire Montessori to families looking for a caring, kind school community and a strong bilingual educational foundation, including families who may be looking for continued learning through an after-school program. Thank you for everything, Empire! :)
