We went at night with a big group of friends and had an absolute blast. They were open from 7:30pm until 10pm. Entrance fee is $10 per person. We all reserved a bonfire area near the back to start. The spot itself was very cool and a good distance away from others. Aside from the maize maze, they also have a store selling pumpkin goodies, and a little petting zoo area. As for the maze, they give you a blank puzzle, and your task is to find 12 hidden mailboxes, collect the puzzle pieces inside each, assemble the puzzle, and THEN find the exit via the Victory Bridge. Trust me, it'll take some time to find the mailboxes. It took my team almost two hours to complete it but we really had fun doing it all. This is one amazing maize maze! I can only imagine how long it took them to set it up. My only gripe is that it wasn't open long enough to really enjoy it all, but still, we'd go back again. Plus it would be nice if they had lights near the driveway entrance so it's easy to find. Still, I have a feeling my lady will likely go back next year.

He wanted to go on the VR ride, before we went there was 2 parties of kids in front of us and they never wiped down or cleaned it before the next party. We asked before we put it on because that's disgusting. There were also arcade games, I'd say it's pricey as hell. $5.50 for the medium plush game. The bathroom was okay until I went into a stall, like why was their pee in and on the trashcan like there wasn't a literal toilet to the left of the trashcan in the stall lmao wtf. Some of the workers seemed liked they hated being there, so that kinda kills the mood a bit vs workers who actually take the time to answer your questions esp when you've never been before. There is a convenient tent to keep warm next to the rink and a snack shop next to the ticket booth overing hot coco, soft pretzels / nachos and cheese https://www.metroparks.org/ice-rink/ I noticed that I definitely wasn't taking as many risks, but could still skate. I loved bringing my little one, and that there were green plastic skating gliders for beginners. You can rent skates but if you buy your own your feet probably won't hurt after 30 minutes of skating. Nicole had a cramp in one of her feet from the skates she rented.

The trail itself is pretty much an out-and-back route with a couple of side trails that go into the neighborhoods or just an alternate route. While the vast majority of the trail is "in the woods", the park is sandwiched between the golf course and the houses but (at least while I was there) the area was pretty quiet. Admittedly, it was a cool winter morning without much sunshine. In any case, the area seems to be a popular place for walking or hill running, either on the trails or the park road. This park, while not one of the largest or most secluded, is a great place for a quick escape. This part of the park also has a very nice pavilion, restrooms, and the watchtower to visit.

Closed all year until now to put gravel down on the majority of the trail. And the point is most of the trail was never wet! There were two main problems with wet areas and they''ve fixed those but created a new one. I don't enjoy hearing the sound of crunching gravel when I am communing with nature. Major fail IMO.

Shady and cool, in spite of the humid weather, and the best-marked trails I've seen at any of the Metro Parks I've visited so far!! I took the orange and blue trails, and even with my lousy sense of direction, I never got lost once!! Be sure to see the Three Sisters (now only two...) 550 year old white oaks on the orange trail, and the beautiful Orange Osage Tunnel, a real gem. Can't wait to check them both out in the fall!! Worth a visit... A true gem in the Five Rivers crown!!
