One of the best milkshakes I've ever had- so fresh and yummy! Its so peaceful and so many beautiful plants to look at (or purchase if you desire)

Very beautiful plant shop and cafe! The owners are super nice and their shop is full of well cared for plants. Most of their items are pretty reasonable as well. The plants are beautiful. I got this wonderful cactus that has been blooming on and off and releasing a subtle but sweet fragrance! Their ice cream is delicious and a must try while you are their. The homemade baklava is just as good, it really satisfy the sweet tooth in you. Their drinks and desserts are super well priced and well worth a try. Definitely give them a visit if you want to check out some plants, eat some sweets or just have a nice time at a cafe.

Checked out this Persian tea shop on Main Street in Manayunk. The shop had plants for sale, dessert items, snacks, and different drink options. The saffron milkshake is amazing! It tasted like roses. Definitely worth checking this place out. The place is definitely family owned and operated. The business owner and her son ran the place like a well oiled machine.

As a persian who's been living in US for several years now, I can say that this place is designed professionally and thoughtfully to be authentic while appealing for everyone stopping by. I loved each of the details in the design and environment there. You should check it out to see a big map of Tehran on the wall next to the Philly map which is so cool! I definitely recommend this place to bring your lap top and work. I was so excited in my first visit, so I ordered multiple choices from their menu. I had ash-e-reshteh which was so rich and delicious! I had dolmeh and I loved it. They serve it in a beautiful way and with a tasty bread as side. I also had the Saffron ice cream milk shake!!! OMG! This drink is phenomenal!!! Please do yourself a favor and try it! And last but not least, I tried the sweet home-made cream puffs there! I liked it too.

This place was small but cozy and it was also a plant shop which is pretty cool! The tea was really good and I would most definitely buy tea leaves from here as gifts. We treated ourselves with a large saffron milkshake and that was so so good. I never had any drink like this one and I would drive 20 min again just for this milkshake!

Went to Safa after a weekend stroll in Manayunk. Located right on Main Street with plenty of street parking. Knowing it recently won a Best of Philly award, I wasn't sure what to expect except great things. A small area but about 6 tables available. The decor was simple and very tasteful. Either a mug or teapot was set at each table with a live plant. The menu breaks down each variety of tea by family like black or green, and has about 25 different varieties. If you don't like any of the individual options, you can make your own blend. I definitely want to try majority of the teas but I went with the iced chamomile clementine. The small plates available have a Persian focus. If you're unfamiliar with Persian cuisine, think Mediterranean or Lebanese. We got the grape leaves and loaded pita. Both delicious and served warm. I highly recommend both of them. Safa is a great place for the Manayunk area, especially with all the bars and typical bar food nearby. It was clean, quiet and offers free WiFi. If you're looking for a great tea variety and some snacky small plates, head to Safa. Bonus- they offer a rewards card where every 7th beverage you purchase is free!

Delicious Persian tea!!! And the plant choices are abundant. Beautiful healthy happy plants at fair prices :) definitely coming back again, and hopefully soon! Looking forward to trying more teas and buying more plants.

The persian rock candy was a great addition to the rose infused tea.

Rave: Safa Persian Teahouse on Main Street is amazing. Definitely a needed change up in the Manayunk Cafe scene. The variety of tea is really awesome and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They go out of the way to create a welcoming environment. Safa have a lot of new items that I've never heard of before but they will take the time to explain the nuances. All the home-made pastries and foods are fresh and delicious. 5/5 stars

This is a savory, frittata/omelet with tons of herbs and a side of garlic yogurt sauce. It's amazing!!!!

Seriously everything we've tried here has been a-mazing from the 24 varieties of teas (served hot or iced), to the specialty drinks, to the homemade, authentic, Persian food. This is a local, family-ran spot, and they're seriously so friendly. They make everything with love and want to make sure you're enjoying your time there as much as possible. We've tried probably 10+ varieties of tea, all were so good. We love the coconut cacao, the banana chocolate one, the Maui, and more! And Amin (one of the owners) is happy to talk to you to find the right tea that fits your mood. But seriously, try the food. Amin's Mom makes everything fresh from authentic recipes and the food is really special. You can get wraps, pitas with Veggies or chicken "patties" plus fresh made hummus, eggplant dips and pastries too! Free WiFi! And sometimes they'll hand out awesome tea or other drink samples while you're chilling there! Highly highly recommend to hang, or even get work done!

The loveliest tea house / plant shop! My boyfriend and I wandered in and looked around - they have so many different types of plants and pots for sale. Even some unique and rare plants we hadn't seen before! The owner and her son were so kind and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to set up a little table for us to have tea because all the other tables had been occupied. We also got a complimentary baklava which was delicious!! Amazing experience!!

If you love plants and ambient spaces, this cafe/plant shop is a great choice. I went on a Friday around noon and was the only one there for about 10 minutes then within a few minutes it was packed. There's enough seating for about 15-20 people. I had a hibiscus tea, hummus and pita, and one of the Persian desserts with walnut cream inside. All three were delicious. The hummus was really good and made better by the fact that the pita was warm. The tea was served in a beautiful clear glass and when I finished, they refilled my water for a second time and then refilled it again in a to go cup when I left. Definitely above and beyond service here. The seating is different now so some of the photos on older reviews are misleading (there are no couches and no longer has a pillow cushioned game space). There were so many plant goodies and such an amazing variety of plants and planters to buy I had to resist or risk completely emptying my wallet on crazy plantlady things but I'll definitely be back!

My review is about my plant shopping experience! The owner Amin loves plants and is hosting houseplant pop-ups every Friday-Sunday 12-8 pm. While it's normally a teahouse, he says he is rebranding and plans to have these sales every weekend. Parking is a bit tricky in the area on weekends, but I found free one-hour parking on the next street over (Cresson St under the bridge). I first learned about the pop-ups from a local plant group on Facebook and messaged Amin to make sure the plants I wanted were in stock. He was so great at answering all my questions and I brought a friend along! We could tell he really loves plants and shared in our excitement, because he knew which plants had been repotted recently and told us not to disturb them (ha, rookie mistake I've made in the past after purchasing a plant). I'm not an impulsive buyer and had been looking around for a philodendron birkin for the right price, and this is where I got it! We're both really happy with our plants and within the next 1-2 weeks of buying our plants we both saw new growth. Would highly recommend getting your plants from here!

Something pulled me into this place on a whim for lunch, and I wasn't disappointed. First, I want to thank Behaz for making me feel so welcome and walking me through the dozens of teas and components around the counter. I went with the rose herbal tea, which was delicious. The kashke badjeman was phenomenal. A couple cookies to top it off really made my lunch. The atmosphere is both sophisticated and relaxed; I want to hang out in there for hours. Chess sets and cards are available. I'll be back.

He spent plenty of time explaining what a good plan of attack would be, along with pointing out the other desirable and less-than-desirable plants back there. In hindsight, and after getting some itchy exposure despite the protective suit, it might have been worth paying his crew to do the work. We called him about a…read moredefinite poison ivy problem in our front yard and a possible poison ivy problem in our backyard. I explained to him that I didn't feel comfortable walking in the backyard because I wasn't sure what is and what isn't poison ivy. He told us to do the best we can and even if it's just in the front he would still come out to inspect everything. He then told us that if we did want the back done he would drive out to look at that to see what is poison ivy and what isn't. Then he had his worker message me from a different number and we set up a date and I confirmed with them that there's no charge for him to come out and look even though about an hour or so away from them and the workers said there's definitely no problem. So that's it we had a verbal agreement which I take seriously I'm a man of my word for an appointment this Thursday at 4:00. Well they gave me extremely short notice to let me know that he's not going to drive out unless I take extra pictures. I said I already discussed that the reason I need him to come out in the first place is because I'm severely allergic and I can't take more pictures but you at least have the pictures of the front so you know that there's poison ivy there. So then they were telling me that well he's not going to come out and we have to do a virtual inspection basically ignoring what I said. Then they said if I want him to come out it's going to be $150 for every 50 mi. This is completely different from what he was saying about a free inspection. I could hire some kid down the street to do the whole job for less than $150. There's probably about 15 minutes of work. This was all explained to him on the original call. At first he seemed like a nice guy but then I noticed he wasn't even replying to my messages which I took is a very bad sign. Even the worker I would say thank you and they would not have the courtesy to reply you're welcome or anything. On top of that they've been texting / calling me from multiple different numbers which is very weird. I'm also not sure if the guy is slower if he has a stutter but during the phone call there was something off about him maybe he just stutters when he lies? Anyway, obviously we have no interest in using this guy anymore. On top of that he told me something that was factually incorrect. He told me that when I asked him if it's safe for me to be out there when they're removing the poison ivy said oh yeah it won't get in the air. That is factually incorrect and it actually contradicts with the video on his site where he said you don't even have to touch poison ivy to gets sick. He not only lost a client but his reputation. They also tried to say that he had an appointment in my area but because he had to cancel it now he can't come to see me. I called BS on that I doubt he had an appointment in the area to begin with they were just trying to jerk around.
