The freshman classes are still more advanced for those who have only taken less than 5 (or no) previous pole classes, but as long as you let the instructor know, they can give you some basic skills to learn. They use mindbody and making reservations online is easy. Free parking lot available. There's 13 poles that do spin. You must bring your own mat. Cubbies are available. I especially enjoyed Candy Cane's freshman pole class, as she pushed us to do our best and taught a fun little routine that we performed at the end of class. Heels are optional. Don't wear lotion to class.

It was limited but open and easy due to the small class. In a much larger class that may not be the case. I didn't get to see what the restroom or locker room if they had one looked like but the instructor and class was awesome! It was moderate to intense cardio as well as total body with stretching added in at the end. It ended a few mins early and started a few mins late but you get your work and sweat in for sure. I recommend this class and I will be returning. I would also like to try out their aerial yoga.

I wouldn't take Zumba to get a hardcore workout (I didn't sweat very much, if at all, during the classes), but it's definitely something different and fun. This place is laid-back and has a positive energy, and the teachers and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Zumba classes start at $5 for single sessions, and cheaper if you purchase in packages. Nothing too crazy to rave about, but definitely a good experience.

Only wish the teachers are more consistent- I dont like to be surprised when I show up expecting one teacher only to get another. There are certain teachers that are better in that they break down the steps and are energetic and encouraging, but then there are other teachers that expect you to be J-Lo and the Flygirls, which usually results in the students being confused and just standing there. Hopefully they can retain the better teachers and maintain the consistency that I'm looking for. Another thing is that the schedules seem to always change. I'm noticing its on a monthly basis, but it makes it hard to commit when the times keep changing.

She made an existing passion of mine, boxing, even more fun and challenging in the right way. I did both group classes and 1-1 sessions and it never disappointed. Even group classes that can sometimes be bleak at other spots were fun and engaging, partially because Bevin builds a community. I never tried the Pilates section, but I only hear great things about it. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a stellar local workout spot with wonderful people to brighten up your existence.

I honestly haven't seen any studios focusing on TRX classes alone and I was pretty stoked when I got the deal. First off, Studio U is located on Abbot Kinney just down the street from my favorite spinning studio, YAS. I'm shocked that I never knew this place existed and I literally drive by everyday. I guess I was really lucky on my first visit t there was one other student beside me. The instructor, Bevin is knowledgeable, patient and very nice...she watched our every move, form and reminded us to keep breathing. The entire session was literally like a semi-private. My body definitely remembered the moves and I'm sure I'll be feeling sore tomorrow. You can sign up for classes online and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Bevin was understanding the first time I canceled due to a last minute conference call I had at work with Asia. I understand now why they need such a lengthy period of time for cancellation as the class sizes are really small. Nevertheless, I will definitely be coming back here.
