Then, they wouldn't REFUND the class or allow a reschedule, saying "well technically it's used" even though they didn't let her USE THE PASS. Then the manager comes out and is rude, saying "I'm the manager, this is MY store." Manager is rude. Tried redeeming the classes before the 30 days. Really, they just want to take your money. Don't come!! Save your money! edit: i appreciate the apology and your independent review of the footage. however, it was communicated that the class was a gift for her birthday and when asked if the class could be rescheduled or refunded, it was indicated that it was technically used despite being denied entry. While i appreciate that a refund was offered after sending an email, i too wonder how many clients were turned away from reasonable resolutions. changing the review to 2 stars for the apology and refund. wishing you a good rest of your week and better luck with communications in the future. edit 2: upon further review of the reviews left before, it seems like a common practice to enforce unreasonable attendance policies and citing "camera footage" evidence that only management have access to when confronted with reports of unprofessional behavior. seems at least some staff struggle to treat customers with dignity and respect (as a customer do your own due diligence to deduce why they may treat some customers better than others). all in all, probably better to take classes elsewhere but that's just my opinion.

The atmosphere in the classes is very positive and friendly - it feels like you're part of a big dance family The studio itself has several dance rooms. They are always clean, cozy, well-ventilated, equipped with air conditioning, and have large mirrors, which is very important for dance practice. The receptionist is also very pleasant, positive, and friendly. I was absolutely delighted with my experience at this studio and would happily recommend it to my friends who love dancing.

There is a kids' program taught by a lovely young dancer, Marina Munoz. She also teaches two adult classes. I took the Tuesday night class and it was a blast: rigorous , great music, classic Luigi/Hama warmup. The combination was fast and my brain not working perfectly but it is doable for an advanced beginner or intermediate. The across the floor Tuesday had two short combinations, both easy to pick up (one with kicks and another with turns) and both at a diagonal in pairs. The studio is gorgeous with high, beamed wood ceilings and it was a dream to take a real jazz (not hip hop) class so close to my parents' house, near where I studied with Hama back in the 1980s (Katnap on Venice by Walgrove). And to make matters even better, there is a FREE parking lot! Off Abbott Kinney , this can be regarded as nothing short of a miracle. 16 a class. But 10 for 140 with no expiration date. This is a RARE treat in any of LA but unheard of in WLA circa 2013

Classes are tough but accessible and attitudes are encouraging. I am an absolute beginner. (Or I was, a couple of months ago, when I started. Now I'm an absolute-minus-a-whisker beginner!) Not only that, I've never been particularly strong or successful in physical activity, or well coordinated, or confident. This isn't just the first place I felt a complete lack of judgment, but the first place that has actually let me develop physical skills. Never been able to do a push-up before and now I can do a few in a row. Never climbed a rope, but I can (almost!) climb a silk. Something else that really stands out is how much instructors pick up on your movements. Several times, I've been given suggestions about how to improve based specifically on how my body works, like trying something first with my left side because I'm left-footed, or the fact that I have some hypermobility. I knew there was something different about the way I moved, but that's the first time I had a word for it. Believe is a great place to learn. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging, and accepting. While every class is definitely a workout, it's more like an activity. It's fun and challenging, and writing as someone who has join several gyms and dreaded every workout... Everyone I interacted with, from students to teachers to the front desk staff to the owner were all friendly and personable! I really like how they have dots to mark where each student should dance near to better space out the class. In smaller classes, they just had us make windows to give us more space! My favorite classes are the choreo classes, but I did take one cardio dance class that was quite a workout! I love the redroom style and the lighting really gives you that feeling of performing burlesque! They are so motivational about loving your body and practicing self love. I also like how every class offers modifications so it's easily accessible for students of all levels! I felt challenged yet felt myself being able to pick up the choreo pretty quickly since it was broken down so effectively! The space is brand new so the floors really make it easy to glide on! The ambiance throughout is fun and eclectic! Bonus points for allowing students to borrow knee pads, since this is definitely a necessity for most of the choreo classes! Parking is also very easy in the surrounding neighborhood, especially during evening and weekend classes! I cannot wait to return again soon!

My daughter danced at this studio for a few years. The owner, Lisa, had conflict with numerous families. There was lots of unnecessary drama. Even though this is not a competitive dance studio, the owner sets up the auditions and class sign-ups in an overly competitive nature that stresses everyone out. They rope you into tons of classes and before you know it, you've spent 4k a semester with pressure to spend more. One of the teachers privately told me she was making an embarrassingly low wage, and struggling to pay her bills. She was lovely and left soon after. We found another dance studio, and have had NONE of these issues.
