One of the best things about Courtyard Santa Ana is Andrew! He is such a helpful and happy young…read moreman. He has made our Monday's so easy and pleasant. My husband is now spending Monday nights in OC every week for work. After trying a couple of other local hotels, we have chosen the Courtyard. It's perfect for our needs...centrally located, updated, large room, not too big of a hotel, easy parking, Starbucks downstairs in the morning, and best of all a friendly face - Andrew.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and it happened in the middle of the night…read morewhen you expect basic support the most. Around 3:00 AM, I discovered that the air conditioning in our room was not working. The room was hot, uncomfortable, and completely unsuitable for rest. Given the situation, we went to the front desk to request a room change. Instead of helping, the staff member on duty immediately became rude and confrontational. I calmly explained that she was extremely tired and asked if we could move our belongings in the morning (before 8 AM) rather than in the middle of the night. That's when things escalated. He responded loudly: "You are not supposed to do this. You cannot keep two rooms. That's not how this works." His tone was aggressive and completely unnecessary. I politely asked him to lower his voice, but instead he became even more agitated. He started yelling in the lobby, saying things like, "How could you do this to me? It's only me working today--why would you bring this up right now?" At that point, it felt like he was taking his frustration out on us for simply reporting a problem. As the situation continued to escalate, I told him he needed to control himself and questioned why he was escalating things so far. In response, he said he would call the police to remove us. Let that sink in--paying guests, in the middle of the night, dealing with a broken AC, being yelled at in the lobby and threatened with police involvement. The entire interaction was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking. I was exhausted, overheated, and just asking for a reasonable solution. Instead, I met with hostility and public confrontation. Basic service recovery, respect, and professionalism were completely missing here. Instead of being able to rest, we found ourselves awake at 3:38 AM writing this review. What should have been a simple service request turned into an unnecessarily stressful and disruptive experience due to the staff member's unnecessary dramatic attitude in handling the situation.

Lots of space in general, lots of space to hang my clothes. I was very impressed, and felt very welcomed by, the Rosary, Crucifix, and Catholic Bible in the nightstand! Thank you for that.

For some reason right before we arrived my app let me know our digital card was activated. The entire time I was being told to check in in person . We traveled with all our gifts for our family since we are from Orange County, both myself and husband . We go straight to the underground garage ( you can only get in and out with your room key) we unload and rush upstairs to shower and get ready . Our surprise, when we got back to our truck , it was completely ransacked . Completely wiped clean! Nothing was left . Thankfully, our truck is push to start or it would have been gone too. Now here's the fun part ! The hotel did not give a damn about us . Did not empathize or even care . They stated they are not responsible. Many guest come and go. Their manager was not on site . No security cameras can be shown . When we asked for a refund or have double tree send us elsewhere being that we do not feel safe , they said that wasn't possible . No refund. This hotel does not care about their guests nor their safety. We made a police report and demanded their surveillance cameras . Yes , we've lost it all , but atleast they could catch who did it . We honestly believe it was an inside job . We arrived at almost 5am. The digital key oddly worked before arrival . Once we entered our room, we got a call from front desk , making sure we got in and were in our room. That NEVER happens . Our advise ? Book elsewhere !

The check-in process was quick, seamless, and supported by exceptional customer service from every team member I encountered. Upon being shown to my room, I was thoroughly impressed. The modern furnishings, thoughtful extra toiletries, and overall cozy atmosphere made the space feel as comfortable as home. It's clear that great care goes into maintaining both the accommodations and the guest experience. I truly hope other hotels take note--whoever is managing this property is doing a fantastic job. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this hotel to others.

However, I did kill a cockroach which I've never seen in my previous stay. Then on the 2nd to 4th night, the guest/s was noisy either jumping or running around at night. Then they played some thumping music. Their breakfast buffet is pretty good except for the nazi staff who gives a disapproving look as you get food. No personality at all. I checked out and then found out later on that they charged over $200 on my credit card when there should not be any charge at all. I called and the lady said that she would reverse the charge. Three days later and the charge is still there. I went in person to dispute the charge and the front desk that it might take longer to post on my credit card. I finally disputed the charge with my credit card and only then did a get a credit back.

My favorite items from the breakfast were oatmeal, banana, pound cake, hard boiled eggs, and the cheese cubes. The shower had what looked like 2 faucet types...the lower one had water that was too strong at times. Parking spaces were ok the narrow side but thankfully there were a good number of spaces open. Only 1-2 blocks from Disneyland and dca, which was very nice.

Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Overall, once you factor in free parking, breakfast, and the shuttle, it's actually a great value for Disneyland. Clean, easy, and family-friendly. I would come back.
