But they would not do a normal cleaning and then a scaling on him, which was odd. I went in today. I go to the dentist 4 times a year on my own volition. I have had extensive dental work and value my teeth. There is a major bridge and other work. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I was told I could not get a regular cleaning, based on the hygienists evaluation of periodontal disease. I was going to pay $275 for a special cleaning. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I then asked if I could get a regular cleaning and was told I would need to come back. That is what I set up the appointment for! Bottom line, I either took 'their' cleaning and paid the money OR would have to come back for a regular cleaning (that I scheduled the same day). How does this work? I was extremely uncomfortable and told the office manager I didn't want another appointment and that I would be going back to my regular dentist. I walked out. My husband will not be returning either. I purchased additional dental insurance and will go back to our previous dentist.

I initially gave this place a good review, though maybe not on Yelp. The staff was very friendly…read more I went there earlier this year for a simple cleaning and x-rays. They filed two claims to my insurance requesting a total of $1,069. This amount for a cleaning? I was also told that I would get an estimate to fix and fill a couple of cracks in one tooth. The tooth did not bother me at all. I never received that estimate. I am more shocked at the attempt to get an absurd amount from my insurance company for a simple cleaning. I cancelled my next appointment and went with a different practice. The office is need of some upgrades too. Equipment and furniture seemed outdated, except for the panoramic x-ray machine. I suppose that's why the hefty claim?

I'm updating my review because, five years later, Dr. Wallace has sent an outstanding bill, one I…read moredidn't even know existed, to collections. To reiterate, I came here during COVID for a painful tooth, but the dentist focused on a different tooth, claiming I urgently needed a replacement crown for one that was only two years old. I felt pressured into the procedure, and the crown was poorly done in both fit and color. Another dentist has since told me it needs to be replaced, which says it all. I'm extremely frustrated by this entire experience, from being coerced into unnecessary work to the poor quality of care, and now being blindsided by a collections bill years later. I was quoted a price and told the rest was covered by insurance. I certainly don't recommend this underhanded clinic.

I had a good experience with this place and recommended it to my boyfriend. He had a couple of…read morecleanings there which were uneventful, but the last time he was talked into a deep cleaning. I would like to mention that he takes extremely good care of his mouth - flosses, never misses a cleaning, etc. He didn't think the procedure would be fully covered by his insurance - they only cover half a mouth at a time for that kind of cleaning, which is what he told them. Well the hygienist went and talked to their billing person, who insisted that his insurance would cover his whole mouth. They said they had called his insurance, were absolutely sure and again, convinced him to do it. They even gave him a written estimate of around $100 of out of pocket expenses. So, now they are presenting him with a huge bill that insurance won't cover and they are unwilling to help him at all. He's on disability with limited income so this is extremely bad and I feel terrible for having recommended them. It was literally a cleaning, with no special crowns or anything fancy like that and he is being asked to pay in the neighborhood of over $1000. I will likely have to find another dentist because of the way they've treated him. So, if you're not concerned about maybe receiving a huge surprise bill after your visit, with absolutely no accountability or help from the people who gave you the bad information, go ahead and go there. It's shocking, because they should and can come down on the bill since this totally their fault, but they really don't care.

I'm always sorry to see when someone has a bad experience, but those are rare. I have referred many many friends and family members to Dr. Hunter and all have had excellent quality care and thorough follow through in all cases. My daughter had teeth pulled before her braces and is going back for wisdom teeth to be pulled after her braces were just removed. Her smile is amazing and she has no complaints about her care. As a parent, I know that she was in reliable hands and I felt that all of her needs were met as well as those of myself asking about her aftercare and follow up appointments. The office is very clean and the staff is cordial and professional. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Dr. Hunter and his practice. He would be happy to meet with you for a consultation prior to having any work done. Book an appointment, I think you will see that he is an amazing oral surgeon and a very caring man with an excellent bedside manner.

When I went it for the initial consultation - Dr Hunter warned me about the risks regarding the procedure, and let me know that the older I get, the longer the recovery time will be. He noticed I had an infection and prescribed me antibiotics as well as pain meds so that I'd have those once I got the surgery. When I actually had the surgery I went to the Castle Rock office. Dr Hunter, the nurses and the front desk staff are so incredibly nice! I was terrified and I'm an almost 25 year old man. The procedure was awesome! Felt like 20 minutes, might have been an hour. I vaguely remember feeling some tugging on 2 of my 4 wisdom teeth, but other than that it was a breeze! Post-Op instructions were clear as day. No pain during surgery, I'm a tad sore on the side of my gums but it's 100% fine! Not only that, but when I went to Walgreens to grab the pain meds, the girl at the counter was looking at the screen and said, "Whoa! It looks like Dr Hunter went to school for a REAL long time." I said, "Really?" And she goes, "Yeah, it looks like he was in school for 8 years, then another 4 years, then another 6 years after that." He's extremely experienced and I'm so glad I went to him. No nerve damage, very quick procedure, and I'm still alive! Thanks, Robert B. Hunter. I really appreciate it! So does my lady and all of her family members that have gettin their surgery done by you as well! :)
