I'm the kind of jerk who waits until the VERY last minute to do something about health crises. Well, let's put it this way...I had perfect super-straight cavity-free teeth all my life, and all of a sudden at age 25, here comes this stupid wisdom tooth that comes in on an angle. It ends up shoving into my second molar (tooth #31) and creates a pocket where food festers and ends up rotting my precious molar away. Fast forward three years, and three dentists' "second opinions" later. I keep getting told by dentists that it will cost me at least $1500 to have the tooth extracted, packed, and that they INSIST I have a root canal done and my 2 wisdom teeth removed. (I was only born with 2 of the 4.) So I balk that the cost and ignore the problem until I wake up one night with the most EXCRUCIATING OH MY GOD THIS IS LIKE A JACKHAMMER IN MY EYES AND FACE KIND OF FEELING. I call Saddle Creek 9AM on a Saturday morning, and they have me in within an hour. I ended up with the epic Dr. Jacob Moore and his extremely sympathetic, sweet assistants. Although I'm usually totally chill about having medical procedures, I have a massive uncontrollable body-convulsing panic attack right then and there. He hooked me up with laughing gas (complimentary) and probably gave me a LOT of painkillers until I stopped feeling discomfort (which was also included). It took him a while to get me to calm down and get the tooth out, but he did an amazingly patient job. He was also extremely comparably priced compared to the other dentists in town! The tooth healed beautifully, and he advised me to KEEP my wisdom tooth, which ended up being AWESOME because not only has it painlessly come in, it has started to move over to replace the spot where the tooth was extracted, and actually serves its purpose! :) Thank you so much Dr. Moore and staff! The most amazing patient care I have ever received. I'm visiting waco and I live in Hawaii. I started getting some severe tooth pain which caused a migraine and ear pain. I had to get an emergency root canal and they got me in the same day I called! I was very nervous going to a dentist in a new area but they were the most friendly caring staff I had ever experienced. Even when I was having a panic attack about having a root canal they all helped calm me down and give me complimentary laughing gas! Which was amazing. They did x-rays they were very thorough. They numbed me up really good and the procedure only took about 20 minutes. They helped work with my insurance and called them for me, it was only 216$ which my insurance might reimburse me for but thank God we could afford that today I was so worried about the bill and so thankful we were able to pay it. I even made a second appointment after I finish my round of antibiotics to go and get it finished up. Everyone in the office were like angels so nice and welcoming 10/10 recommend! read more

They provide an exquisite staff that shows interest in the patient and truly care about the person that they contact with. They interact with the patient and make them comfortable while involving them with what they are treating. I have never been so impressed by any dentist in my life. We took our 3 year old for his first cleaning a couple of weeks ago. The appointment started on time, if not a few minutes early. The entire staff was incredibly patient and kind to my son and he actually seemed to enjoy the visit. We were scheduled to return for 2 fillings which we did last week. Once again the appointment started on time if not early. We didn't have to wait at all, which if you have a 3 year old you know that can make it even more difficult. Just like the first visit the entire staff was very patient and kind to our son, as if they were treating their own son. The fillings went well and did not take long at all. I would recommend this office to anyone, especially if you have small children. My wife and I are very impressed and pleased with the staff at Saddle Creek Dental! Thanks y'all! read more

tl;dr: Very attentive dentist especially though all the staff is friendly and kind. Explains everything he's doing if that's what you like, happy to offer laughing gas and is hands down my fav dentist of the kind I'll probably fly back to Texas to get dental work done after I change jobs in a few years. I realized one of my top wisdom teeth was coming in and I wanted to make sure that they were coming in straight. They are but have cavities and other issues so I'll have to get them out at some point (he's not the first to say this, I was just hoping I wouldn't need them out since surgery terrifies me). I got the younger of the two dentists and he was very polite and explained everything and answered all of my questions (I'm a librarian, I ask loooots of questions). He even started just explaining everything without my asking questions once he realized I wanted to know everything. I had also gotten my teeth cleaned by the good doctor, it had been two years and I was already there for the wisdom teeth so it seemed like I should probably do it anyways. He was incredibly attentive, when he noticed how much I flinched when he was using the spinning, grinding tool he asked if it hurt (no, its the noise, the noise hurts) and asked if I'd like him to use a different tool. Seeing as I'm an adult woman who didn't want to seem like a pansy I told him I'd be fine and that I just wanted to get this done with. He did a little bit more but then switched to manual tools after a minute without saying anything else and talking about how he has to get his teeth cleaned with manual tools too and he normally gets it done with NOS. He really made me feel like less of a loser. I had 10 cavities, but apparently the four on the bottom are very small so we caught them early (yay). The ones up top not so much. I've get three dental dates, and I just had my first (upper right side, next will be upper left then finally all the bottom ones) done yesterday. Needless to say I was nervous, I've had cavities done before, my first without anything to numb, the second (well, second time was two cavities) I started off with nothing but I caved and did the novocaine since I was just about to cry (I dislike needles but Dr. Blue Eyes managed to do the injection without me noticing so favorite dentist bar was set high). The hygenist walked in and very kindly asked if I wanted NOS today. I thought you couldn't drive if you had it but she explained that wasn't the case, explained how that worked and said it would help with my nervousness and that if I didn't like it we could stop using it at any time. The whole time they were doing fillings (four, on three teeth) they explained what they were doing and if they noticed I was tensed up or twitching they asked if I was okay or if I was in pain. I'm fairly certain they cranked up the NOS about halfway through because by the end if felt like I wasn't quite attached to my body and almost asleep which wasn't the case for the first half (can ALL my dental work be like that? I almost couldn't even hear the drills). But it wasn't a bad experience, Mr. Young Dentist is officially my favorite now and I might actually fly back to have my annual cleaning/any other work done once I leave Waco. That's how good I think this dentist is. The only downside is that I think my cheek is bruised and the corner of my lip is chapped but I have a small mouth and he had to do two fillings on the very back tooth so y'know. Also it seemed expensive but this is my first time doing this on my own so it could just be par for the course. (~$550 for the first set of fillings and I think it was ~$210 for the cleaning, exam and xrays though insurance covered part of it for me.) read more

I love my dentist! He has been my dentist since he opened his practice in 2007. The staff are friendly and greet me by name. Dr. Moore is personable and has a wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Moore was able to fix how my teeth meet. They didn't used to meet. I also loved that I could get my crown put on my tooth in one trip. read more

By far the best dental office I have every been to. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful you forget that you're at that dreaded dental appointment. The waiting room is nice but I rarely spend much time in there since they seat you so quickly. I grew up with a MAJOR fear of the dentist so I especially love the personal TV's in each room to distract me. The hygienists are really good and make getting your teeth cleaned something to look forward to - I really love that just-went-to-the-dentist clean feeling! Dr. Jake and Dr. Dod are both great! They are straightforward about what you need and always try to provide you with options that will fit your budget. My son started getting his teeth cleaned here when he was 2 and LOVES it. He is always asking if it's time to get his teeth cleaned again. Kids get to pick a prize out the treasure chest when they finish their cleaning which is a nice touch. This is the only dentist I've ever been to who didn't make me feel like an inconvenience for having two different dental insurance companies. They are so helpful getting everything set up with both companies and will get you in ASAP if you are having an emergency. They are always friendly and sweet, they remember names, and the dentist is very friendly and laid back. They are 15-20 minutes from my house but worth the drive. read more
