Everything was explained to me in detail, including the financial piece. Dr. Malagise and his assistant were very kind and concerned that I remained comfortable throughout the procedure. I would highly recommend their services. They are very efficient and professional.

This dental office engaged in what I believe to be improper and potentially fraudulent billing…read morepractices. I was overcharged for services, including duplicate charges and services that were also billed multiple times to my insurance provider. After contacting my insurance company directly, they provided a detailed explanation of benefits confirming that my total out-of-pocket responsibility was $722. Despite this, the dental office charged my card $1,419.60 -- nearly double the verified amount owed. Additionally, I scheduled my care with a specific dentist, but for my second visit I was seen by an associate due to the original provider's unavailability. Although this change was not initiated by me, I was assessed a $75 "new doctor" fee. Charging a patient under these circumstances is misleading and raises serious concerns about billing integrity. When I attempted to resolve these discrepancies, I encountered repeated resistance. I was forced to make numerous attempts to obtain a refund, and while a partial refund was eventually issued, the office still owes me over $100 based on the insurance-approved amounts. Rather than addressing the matter in good faith, staff refused to engage in meaningful resolution and instead directed me to "take it up with my insurance," despite the discrepancies originating from their billing. The situation escalated further when the office contacted law enforcement and accused me of harassment simply for persistently requesting to speak with a manager regarding a legitimate financial dispute. Following this, they ceased communication entirely and appear to have blocked my phone number, effectively preventing any further attempt to resolve the issue -- including contact with corporate oversight. Throughout this process, staff provided inconsistent and demonstrably inaccurate information, much of which directly conflicted with documentation from my insurance provider. These actions raise serious concerns regarding compliance with standard billing practices and transparency obligations. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against doing business with this office. Patients should be aware of the risk of being overcharged, improperly billed, and denied appropriate resolution when discrepancies arise.

Unprofessional surprise billing over a year later, plus more demands just a month after cleanings -…read moreavoid Dr. Latinos' office at all costs! I paid this office thousands out of pocket over a year ago for front crowns, based on their quoted treatment plan. I swiped my card and paid exactly what they said was due at the time, trusting they'd handled everything correctly with Delta Dental. Over a year later, they suddenly demand another $300-$400+ as a "past due" balance. They now claim the office is out of network (news to me after the fact) and apparently the crowns weren't covered because they weren't deemed "medically necessary." And now, just a month after my wife and I had our routine cleanings, they're once again claiming they need more money from us, saying insurance didn't cover the full fees and we're on the hook for the difference. This dentist office seems to be unable to confirm and/or quote insurance coverage properly, leading to repeated surprise billing long after services are completed. At the cleaning appointment, I did agree to a $100/month payment plan in the moment--but only because I was in a rush, late for a work meeting, and not thinking clearly. That's on me for not asking more questions right then and assuming the payments were being processed smoothly since I provided my card info. It never crossed my mind that anything was wrong until today, when they abruptly told me they were holding all future appointments and care hostage until these disputed funds were paid. That's when I started questioning everything and asked for invoices clearly showing and explaining why extra payment was even needed. Instead of sending the simple documentation I requested, I got a lengthy, argumentative, defensive wall of text lecturing me about miscommunication, defending their "courtesy" payment plans, stating they are not a financial institution and don't have to help customers, blaming me, and telling me to find another dentist if I think they're unprofessional. (which I am already doing) This is terrible customer service. Zero accountability for how they handled insurance or claims, no simple documentation when requested, and repeatedly hitting patients with surprise bills (over a year for crowns, and now again just a month after cleanings). Holding future appointments and care hostage over a disputed amount from over a year ago is unacceptable. If coverage issues or out-of-network problems exist, that's something to resolve upfront or explain properly--not spring on patients with attitude after the fact. I trusted them with major cosmetic/restorative work and routine care, and now I feel nickel-and-dimed with no transparency. Honest dentists communicate costs clearly, verify insurance accurately beforehand, provide records on request, and don't get combative when questioned. Save yourself the frustration and repeated billing surprises--choose a different provider for straightforward, professional care. Would give 0 stars if possible!

This caused shifting of my front teeth. Tried to tell me it was my fault in about 5 different ways. He actually told me teeth move all the time. Really???? WHAT???? I have never had a dentist that was a bold face liar trying to cover up the damage he did. He even told me when he placed it in that the crown was sitting too high. Not only was it too high, it was too big. I was having another issue with it as well from the time he placed it in. These concerns were dismissed. He struggled to get it in. Its really sad when you put trust in people like this and they take no accountability. Now that the damage is done he wanted to send me to orthodontist to pay more money. I can see why their overall rating on here is a 2. These people need a lawsuit. Im going to get a second opinion and go from there. I am taking myself and my family elsewhere where people actually care. As I said it's all cookies & cupcakes until something goes wrong. I would mention his name but I don't believe in smearing somebody's name but if my second opinion on what he did by a trusted dentist proves he was in the wrong, I most definitely will seek legal advice. Such a sad situation. I would give a zero rating. Please don't put your trust in these people. Because at the end of the day...its your fault!!!!
