I came into this place for a pedicure. I think this is possibly the worst place. I've gotten in a pedicure before. It didn't seem like the lady knew what she was doing. She rounded off my toenails which you're supposed to make them flat on the front so they grow out nicely. She didn't really give me a nice calf massage as other nail salons usually do. I received a text message from the salon asking about my satisfaction. I contacted the salon and informed them of my dissatisfaction. They didn't offer to make it right. They just said to instruct them exactly what I'm looking for the next time I come in. Which I decided I would not be coming back. So now I wouldn't recommend the spot. read more

After three weeks it happened again and since she was busy she had someone else fix it (FYI: this time I expected to pay because of how long it had been but I wasn't charged which I really appreciated). This person cut my cuticle when she was removing the acrylic. A couple days later I texted Vicky to book a fill. I followed up about six hours later when I hadn't heard back. Lisa is AMAZING! This review is more about the conditions of the shop. Numerous times I come in first thing in the morning. Only one tech sweeps their area while the others as they come in get on the electronic devices and sit at their station. All the while the trash in the bathroom is overflowing. The bathroom sink and floor is dirty. The sink outside the bathroom is dirty. There are jugs of not sure what on the floor next to the last pedicure chair. Empty water bottles on the reception counter and the floor needing sweeping and mopping. Now please don't get me wrong, I want Sacto Nails to succeed but I'm not sure anyone in the shop would understand me if I shared this with them. I want them to get repeat customers but if it was my first time going there, I don't think I would go back. I get the same stuff ole stuff: gel manicure with either the middle/best package of pedicure the store has to offer. All I want is for a person to take their time with the services and not rush it like they have somewhere to go. I pay more than $60 (tips not included) when I leave the place, so I want to make sure I can enjoy my hour of relaxation for that hourly price. Furthermore, **Vivian was the one who did my pedicure and Linda did my gel manicure. Vivian is awesome. I would totally go back to this location and be a regular customer and book with just her. I selected the $30 pedicure (they had 4 different kinds you can chose from) and she took her time on my feet. She massaged it, scrubbed, pampered it and basically everything I wanted.*** Linda was opposite. She rushed my manicure, spilled hot wax (she charged $5 extra for this hot wax hand treatment) and didn't even bother cleaning it up for me. She said oh it's okay, I have something like that on my pants too and she pointed a white stain. My left pinky and middle finger had a slight bump from the gel and she didn't noticed it until I mentioned it to her. I asked if she can filed it down and make it even because the bumps looked tacky. She didn't seem too fond of it, but she went ahead and fixed it anyways (it only took only 5 minutes). Overall I enjoyed my experience because of Vivian. I agreed and told them I had something in mind to match my toes, it was a simple mid length square nail with metallic thin French tips. As she starts working on my hands while I am getting a pedicure, she starts to shape my nails and says she could just build off my original nails. I asked if she was sure, she said yes she can do it. I said fine, no need to add fake tips then. She starts adding the acrylic and it's rounded, I asked if she was going to square it she said "oh, yes I can do" I started to get worried from there because I had a feeling she forgot what I asked for. I let her do her thing, towards the end of filing I noticed some nails aren't square enough and then two of my nails had too much product underneath she said she could fix it. She asked for me to follow her to her chair, and then she started cleaning up the nail. They are even shorter than beforehand. I am getting pretty upset, I decided to just let it go because I am not about to start all over. We get to the polish and she is found a terrible job already the tips are super thick, then she keeps scraping the excess with her nails and tries to rub any imperfections, I told her she needed to clean it up with a brush, she then takes a brush out and fixes one nail and then makes a gesture for me to put my hand under the light, I told her that she still needed to fix another nail and add polish because the side was bare. She "fixed" it but it was still not what I wanted. I decided to just let her finish and I just wanted to leave already. When it came down to paying, she asked oh you are just leaving $5 for two people? And I said yes. How is that you can do a shitty job and expect a tip? That is crazy to me. read more

As a mom of two when I get a chance to get away I want to let my hair down and relax. I came in for a full set and a pedicure. One thing that I love about this salon is that most days you can just walk in. I have to admit I'm horrible at making appointments. A plus here is that you can get a pedicure and your nails done at the same time! Totally a time saver! Things I don't enjoy about this salon is that I ALWAYS feel pressured to upgrade. The nail techs seem a bit push but nice. And i totally get it, they are trying to get their coins but if i say no once I feel that should be enough. Typically when I come here they are playing music which is nice and relaxing. This time no music was being played all you heard was the owner on his phone watching videos which seemed to be on full place! This nail salon isn't my favorite but they get the job done. Horrible horrible place. I've been here a few times in the past but since moving out of the area I haven't been back, however, I was at the ups store and thought what the heck I needed a fill. *bad bad bad mistake* Strike 1. I walk in and the place is disgusting. I mean broken floor, stuff (I'm assuming food) on the wall, flies everywhere, and trash on the ground. I should have walked out but against my better judgement I stayed. Strike 2. The manicurist was unprofessional. I sat down and she started making and taking calls on her personal phone. I know stuff happens so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. However, when I asked to take the nail down a bit shorter she got irritated and started filling my nails and skin. 3 times she accidentally hit my hands with the machine filler, and 2 times she cut me. Strike 3. The actual nails themselves. I had gotten my nails done a month before from a different salon and they did an okay job. The manicurist made the acrylic lumpy and uneven. However, today (the day after getting my nails done) my fingers were starting to swell so I abruptly took them off because I don't want bacteria growing under my acrylics. However, once I removed the acrylics I saw the damage she had left my fingers in. I also found out the the acrylic was stuck to my skin so taking them off hurt like hell. I will NEVER come back to this nail place. The disgusting state of the store, the unprofessionalism from the staff, and the damage done to my nails has scorned me from ever getting my nails done. I will also be contacting state board to show the state of my nails. If your smart you will never go to this store!!! read more

Probably one of the worst nail salons I've been to in the Sacramento area. I came in for a gel manicure. I had existing gel on my nails that needed to be removed. Rather than soak my nails, the lady filed off the gel and also filed a lot of my natural nail down. I asked her to not do that, but she proceeded to anyways. The paint job was also sloppy and she got gel all over my cuticles and skin. I asked her to wipe it off before I put my hand under the lamp, but she told me that she would clean it up after my nails cured...WTF. I told her no, because curing the nail polish on my skin would burn it. And it was a back and forth until she finally decided to stop being lazy and wipe it off. They were also very cheap with their top coat. The main thing I disliked about this shop was that they were all about the tip. I understand that manicurists live off the top that customers give, but geez, no need to be pirhanas... Its been two days after I got the manicure and the gel is already starting to peel. They are not skilled in dip powder resulting in peeling and bubbling. I went on a Sunday at 545 (called ahead with appointment) and they rushed through the process to leave and I had to go back the following day to get two nails repaired. When I showed up one of the nail techs who did the rush job was clearly annoyed, rolling her eyes and huffing. The nail techs were so careless they made my nails uneven, sharp, and the gel powder looks cloudy. They put gel top coat over the nail instead of the #4 nail treatment that comes in the powder kit. My nails look and feel terrible, even after the repair. The only positive I can see is their hours (one of my nails cracked which is why I went late on a Sunday and my normal place was closed already). I came in to get my acrylic nails taken off and the tech and another tech were arguing about what price I should be charged. I specifically came in and said "I DO NOT WANT U TO FILE MY NAILS OR PULL MY NAILS OFF. I WANT TO SOAK THEM!" So what does she do? She soaks them for 5 minutes and got impatient and decided to file my nails with her electric drill. AND WHEN I SHOWED HER WHERE THERE WAS TONS OF ACRYLIC LEFT, she gets upset. DO YOUR JOB! I'm here to pay for a service. So she tries some more to take them off (there's still tons of acrylic left), ruins my nails even more with the drill, and doesn't even bother to buff my nails either! Are you serious?! Lastly, she didn't even paint my nails with clear polish or ANYTHING! (See pic for the tragic results!) The menu displays a different price and when it was time to pay, she wants to argue with me! She brings two different menus that show different pricing. Mind you, either of the menu displays the price she said verbally. (That's because she UPPED the pricing hoping I wouldn't notice.) One menu said $12 for manicure, one said $14, but she verbally told me $15. No consistency in their business. IF YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BUSINESS, UPDATE UR PRICING ON THE MENU ALL ACROSS THE BOARD. AND DONT TALK AMONGST YOURSELF AND DECIDE ON WHAT THE 'PRICE OF THE DAY' IS!!!!!!!!!! Mind you, when it was time to massage my nails, she massages my hands with lotion while her gloves still had dust particles on her gloves. So imagine how my massage felt. Dirty!!!! I made the decision to come here to get a pedicure knowing that my favorite tech Lisa isn't here but it's because I don't live in the area and am headed out to hawaii Thursday I had no choice but to come today. I asked for her to make the base white then to add the color so it becomes brighter and she didn't.
