The food is 5 star. I dined solo in the last hour of lunch. They were not busy...I wish the staff had been more attentive. I had a Mysore Masala Dosa. Honestly, it was fabulous. If the food hadn't been on point, this would have been a 2 star review because of the lack of interest on the part of the dining room staff.

This was the order of butter chicken

An old friend of mine recommended this Indian restaurant just across the street from where she lives. So while visiting, we went here for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, no other guest were there. This was 5:30 in the afternoon. I know it's a Wednesday, but geez, if it's any good, there's gotta be guests sitting here. None zip. After reviewing the menu, I zeroed it on the butter chicken with a Coca-Cola to drink. I also ordered garlic naan bread. After a reasonable wait, , the food arrived. The butter sauce was delicious. The little bits of chicken had bone pieces in it, and some of the chicken was actually dry, sitting in a sauce which makes no sense, but OK. The garlic naan was good. For dessert, we shared an order of these balls, made with milk and coconut. These were awful, I couldn't even decipher what I was tasting. I didn't like. I didn't eat it. Left it right where it was sitting in the bowl. While we were finishing up two other parties were coming in to eat. So the hour and a half that we were there, three different parties of guests were having dinner. That's all I needed to know. This place is hard to get to you. Kind of have to backtrack on Ulmerton just to get here. There was a market attached to this, Indian in nature. I saw no guests or customers going there either. This place was not only out of the way for me, hard to get to, mediocre food, terrible dessert, but reasonable prices, will keep me from visiting again

I went here for lunch. There was only one other table seated when I arrived. I was warmly greeted and sat immediately. The menu is pretty standard for your typical Indain restaurant. There is an Indian grocery store attached, but i did not explore. The food was ok. I ordered the Kadai Chicken. The sauce was excellent; the chicken however, was quite dry. The portion size was appropriate. I was mildly dissapointed by the garlic naan. Great flavor, but the naan was quite thin. Ambiance was standard. Their location is a bit out of the way for residents of Clearwater/Largo proper. Would I actively seek to return given the drive? Probably not. Overall, an average Indian restaurant.

So delicious! Plenty of parking. Spacious seating inside. Excellent service! I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala. It was amazing! Very fresh and flavorful! It comes with rice. I also ordered the Garlic Naan. So good! Would definitely come back and recommend!

Definitely a solid choice for Indian food in the Tampa Bay Area! The restaurant has a huge space, probably one of the biggest Indian restaurants I've been to in the area. If you are looking for a place to host large parties, this is a good place to go to. The servers here are super nice and are always willing to give you food suggestions. The portion sizes are also good for the price you pay. I got the Butter Chicken and the chunks of chicken were nice and tender and really soaked up the sauce. The sauce itself had a good balance of sweet, sour, and heat; making it the perfect complement for rice and naan bread. I definitely think this is a place that I'm willing to come back to again, and hope to bring a good group of friends next time around :)

A sad, empty glass of soda. The server ghosted us.

Where to begin. This is a restaurant that has two personas. One is, without a doubt, the worst service and experience I've ever had at any restaurant in the last five years. Being on the Titanic would have been a more pleasant experience. On the other side was the food, which was good, but only one dish was hot. The others? Lukewarm telling you it was sitting there a bit before it was brought out. Customer Service - I strongly recommend reading any book on customer experience, especially during a recession and increased inflation and its impact on the restaurant industry. 1. We made reservations. When we showed up, the host (who also turned out to be our server) didn't welcome us nor ask for our names. He just walked us to the table and left. 2. As a server, he was so-so. He took our order and answered some questions, and that was it. The only time he came by was to give you the check. Now I've been to many Indian restaurants, and each time they check on you, are happy to see you as a customer, and make sure everything is going well. Here? It's not happening. WARNING WILL ROBINSON, WARNING DO not trust the menu with any item they note as vegan. I quickly learned that some of the items are not vegan. Why does it say it? Because the chef doesn't know what is vegan or not, and they had input, i.e., identified these items in the menu. This is according to the server. For example, one dish is a yogurt (not a dairy free one). Another one has dairy in it, but it doesn't mention it. You have to ask. I want to stress this. You have to ask the server and rely on them. Even for those folks who can eat meat but can not have yogurt or cream, ask because they do not identify if these items exist in many areas of the menu. This is huge, especially if you are doing takeout or Doordash/Uber Eats, because all rely on the menu. B. There is an area in the restaurant that a bunch of kids were using as a playground. Running, playing, and running more. The parents didn't do anything. The manager never made an appearance while we were there, and the staff did nothing. This isn't McDonald's Playland. C. The person who brings you the food is unable to provide any information about what is what nor verifying anything. He just smiled. It was very clear that there was a language barrier. Which made it a challenge because said main server ghosted us. D. To get refills, we had to ask the person who was cleaning up the tables. He also brought out the bags and to go boxes. He should be promoted immediately because he was very nice, professional, and willing to assist. If I had cash on me, I would have given him the entire tip and then some. It's a bummer that all the tips are pooled together, so that the worst of the bunch, our server gets a cut. E. When we were leaving, our server/host said thank you twice. Never smiling. Awful. The food we (three of us) opened with an order of Samosas. Very good, but the sauces? I have no idea what was in them because the person who brought them out was the guy who smiled. And our server? Ghost. We also had a cauliflower dish with some rye of sauce. It's vegan and good, but spicy. Plus, we had Naan, early on. The mains? Chicken Tikka, the only dish that was hot, it came out first. There are way too many purple onions. It reminded me of a box of Jujubees, where there are always an ungodly amount of licorice ones compared to the other good flavor ones. The chicken was good but a bit tough according to my spouse. Our friend had the Tikka Masala and loved it. She also had some green dish that cheese it, I can't recall the name. She liked it. We had another order of Naan, and my spouse ordered Vidaloo. We love spice, but the dish was overpowered by it, and while I ate the potatoes, and she ate the chicken, neither of us was impressed. Here is my final recommendation. Make sure to find out if you are vegan or not have dairy, whether the dish you want has it. Especially those of us who are either vegan or Flexitarian. Because you can not trust the menu. And to the owners of this place, shame on you.

Ordered food for about 80$ - Absolute let down. What really got me is, I ordered tamarind sauce, extra and paid for it. They literally gave me a container of tamarind sauce with added water. You may ask how do I know? Because they gave me a regular small sized container with the real tamarind sauce that was viscous. The extra was literally brown water. Then I checked the other 4 sauces they served and they were all watered down as well. The Rogan Jhosh was mainly bones with some meat and VERY hot. My fiancé, asked me if I ordered bones for 80$ The food was also NOT mild, I can live with hot, but we ordered mild for others health reasons. The saag paneer and samosas were tolerable but, again everything was so spicy and literally inedible for most of our party. The naan with butter had no butter. The Biryani was plain for biryani standards - no raisins no nuts. The free gulag jamun was 2 pieces - no one wanted it after everything else. We thought this was a fancier spot

Almost ended the year on a bad culinary note if not for the next restaurant after this one. When it comes to Indian restaurants.... Generally speaking there are three challenges, authentic food prep, service and cleanliness. Very few of them get all three right and then there's some that manage to get all three wrong. Deccan happens to be one of them Service - 1/5 Food - 1/5 Ambience - 1/5

11/2021 2nd visit, they seriously need to hire more servers because the wait for food and service is just beyond. The food is still consistent we loved the lamb korma and goat curry. Tried the chicken kadai and I've had better, tasted more like butter chicken.

One of the best Sugar (lemon) Drop martinis I've had, not too sweet; just perfect. Also ordered a Blu Halo cosmo which did not disappoint. My friends were not drinking alcohol, but their Mocktails were spot on. We each ordered apps, and were surprised at the amount of food we were served. Each one could have been a meal. My Prawns were as big as lobster tails and there were two in the order. Two of us ordered the beef tips and we should have shared. We both ended up taking 1/2 home. Our friend ordered the scallops and commented they were the best she has ever eaten (and at her age she has eaten many). We were seated quickly and our waiter Tyler was pleasant and attentive. He made sure our second drinks came in before happy hour was over, he great recommendations on what we should order and came back often to check if we needed anything. The bar had a pleasant ambiance although the acoustics were a bit loud. We will definitely be back, but recommended they replace or upgrade the piano. With glass surrounding it, the sound could improve.

The service was attentive and friendly throughout the night!

This is still one of my absolute favorite places in Tampa…read more We always come for the dueling pianos, the performers are all spectacular. They've now changed their system and it is $10 cover, which I think is quite reasonable. We came at 10 PM on a Saturday night, and usually it isn't a cover for ladies after 10 PM, but this happened to be a special night. (It was Latin dance night after and cover increased to $20 at 11 pm) It was still well worth paying $10 for both my husband and me. Especially since the parking garage close by is free. Every song they played for that hour was a banger. They get a ton of requests, so either come earlier and put your request in or be prepared to pay to have your song played. They do try to get to every song and it was quite impressive seeing them fly through the songs of the very end. What really impressed me is one of the pianists learned a couple of songs by listening to them under the staircase and coming back to play it, because he hadn't heard it before. One of those songs was Golden from K-pop Demon hunters, which I absolutely love. I was very impressed that he picked it up so quickly and did a very good job with his limited knowledge of the song. It was a highlight of the night for sure. This place does get busy, but it doesn't feel overly crowded. You may not get a table if you get there late, but there's plenty of standing room and it is easy to get a drink at the bar. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys sing-along songs, so think songs from the 80s and 90s, and enjoys being part of a fun crowd.
