What a shop! We were exploring downtown and my husband spotted this shop and wanted to go in. He's a musician, so I can see why it caught his eye! There were a lot of really cool and different instruments and sound bowls. We sat in the sound healing chairs which were beautiful! The craftsmanship on the stuff in here is out of this world. Once the guy running the shop could see how excited my husband was getting at different things, he started taking him around to different things to listen to and try. It was a really cool thing! The giant pipe things hanging from the ceiling were really neat, maybe my fave part! We looked at the giant tuning forks and I really wanted my husband to get the sort of drum kalimba combo thing, but sadly we didn't leave with anything, I think mainly because of transporting anything back home. This is one magical store! Almost more so than all the crystal shops we visited in the past two weeks. Their sound healing chairs are an experience... and the guy manning the shop was super helpful and informative. They really know their stuff. I ended up buying one of the most unique thumb pianos I've ever seen, but it was honestly hard not to want to figure out how to fit one of those chairs in our RV! This music store is a destination in and of itself in historic downtown Flagstaff. The owner, Kelly, is very passionate about providing ways for people to connect with the Divine. He offers wind, percussion, and stringed instruments with spiritual or indigenous significance. Kelly designed one instrument called the 30" Portable Healing Monochord which, when strummed, really calls to the soul. Great for meditation. He also has monochords in the form of a chair and even a bed! He gives demonstrations and sound therapies on these furnitures that are amazing to experience. Wow- wowwowwowwowwow! We were headed to the last brewery when I spotted this shop from the crosswalk and thought- I'm ditching John and checking them out! I wasn't prepared for the fun in exploring this shop! Tons of percussion instruments! Gongs, chimes, xylophones, singing bowls, drums and more! Plus tarot cards, incense, Celtic jewelry and such. I was mesmerized by all the musical instruments and the owner entertained me easily. I entertained my inner child playing a hand pan and various bowls and then the owner asked me to sit in his chair. Hmmm- ok. I sit, a little unsure of what was next when he strums the strings (they are attached to the back of the chair!!!) and the sound resonates and reverberates through me. I feel the shudders in my chest, through my spine, legs and the vibration passing through my feet into the floor. He began to sing and half way through the song his store starts filling up. People start pouring through the front door to see where the music is coming from! I'm in heaven, so much so- when he stopped I stayed put for a few more minutes. Absolutely incredible! John strolled through shortly after and I told him he had to sit- I started strumming and his eyes grew big! I KNOW!!! It's crazy cool. So now I want one of these chairs. Seriously- I want one. This is so therapeutic! I didn't buy the chair today- but I did make a small purchase. Have fun and play! read more

This unnoticed store deserve you to step in. Loni was very friendly and knowledgeable, ask her anything she would be telling you more than you can think of. There are lots of unusual collection of instruments. She had me hit the gigantic wind chimes, the flow of vibes just circle and circle in the air........, then she sat us on the magic chairs, WOW, these Germany instruments had amazing effect on my vessel, like the strings were played on your rib cage, you must in person. It has so much power on me. I'm so glad we stop by while waiting for to go food, worth every second to visit. read more

This little shop is amazing. It's really small, the size of a modest living room, but every corner is packed with so many cool things, and does not feel crowded or hectic at all. I've never seen so many energy healing instruments in one place, and the fact that you can play with them without any shyness really opens you up to the full experience of the store. The monochord chair is a must-try; it's a wooden chair with strings directly attached to the back which, when strum, creates a beautifully rich sound, and creates vibration that radiates through your entire body. It felt like a massage, and I could feel the reverberation in my body for several minutes after standing and I felt so relaxed. Lani is a wonderful soul, and her excitement in sharing the instruments and their experience is so pure. I ended up getting a pentatonic xylophone which sounds amazing no matter how it's played, and there's no wrong way to play it. Would love to come back when I'm in Flagstaff again, as I am still eyeing that chair for when I can afford it..lol. read more

Locally owned and operated! A must-visit every time I'm in Flagstaff. Soothing musical instruments, assorted uniqueness, some jewelry, and some really really cool musically meditative chairs and bed. I've bought everything from talismans to necklaces, to a lute. This past visit, I walked out with a tiger rug! Glad this place exists. read more

As a sound healer, I find S.R. to be truly an excellent store. They have a great selection of African and Middle Eastern drums, singing bowls, monochords, gongs etc. If you're into Indian and Buddhist crafts and statues, they have a great selection as well. The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and very helpful. I will buy many pieces for myself and my business from them. And, check out the Soundwave bed and try a session with it. This is the only one around and the sound healing properties of it are incredible! read more
