The woman there was rude at the start demanding an explanation for everything who my mother was to me (the buyer of the gift card) and who my fiancé was to my mother. She also demanded a tip after the massage and my mom doesn't speak very much English. So she just kept getting frustrated with my mom and kept repeating she wanted a tip until my fiancé came out of the restroom and the employee repeated herself. Had she asked kindly if they would've liked to tip or had even asked me beforehand when I purchased if I would like to leave a complimentary tip I would've done it no questions asked. I didn't know my mom would be harassed like that. I bought it with the intention of it being a GIFT. Meaning she's going to go get the service as a GIFT, and not have to worry about anything. My fiancé still left a 10$ dollar tip because she was flustered and also just didn't know how much I had already spent on the service. Sad to say my mom liked the service that was given to her but we're never coming back. You could've had new repeating customers had you been kinder.

The first time with her was like being so relaxed that my mind seemed to drift in and out of consciousness like being on some incredible drug that doesn't exist. The second experience was different. I'd done a little research on how Reiki works and how it could possibly help me with GAD which I've had for about 15 years. So I went back with an intention and my experience was much different. It was definitely just as relaxing as the first time but memories began coming to the surface that I hadn't thought about in a long time followed by unexpected emotions. That session triggered a thing in me that came out later that day and for the next few days. That was about a month ago I believe and since then I've not needed meds for anxiety except for a few times. This is really huge for me! I've worked with about 15 massage therapists around Austin since I moved down here 12 years ago. Within the 90 minutes I schedule to work with Avery, we cover more ground than any massage therapist that I've worked with in the past. Avery really gets to work. He uses specialized tools, infrared and cold therapy treatments. His tool kit is expansive and he is very knowledgeable with the body and how things connect. While you may have pain in one part of the body, it is very likely that it is the symptom of a problem that is occurring in another area of the body. These are the types of situations you need a skilled, tenured therapist like Avery to be able to pick up on and address. Many massage therapists don't have an appreciation for this, while Avery does. I highly recommend Avery to anyone that wants to see progress with their pain and injury limitations. He will give you homework to work on between sessions, which allows greater progress to be made in future sessions. 10/10 recommendation.

I cannot tell you how disappointing it was to anticipate this massage for weeks, arrange to take off work and then I show up and nothing. I then even gave her the benefit of the doubt to make it right somehow.
