I sent this email to Sacred Mountain Spa a week ago and have not heard back. I would like to discuss my experience from last month with them but haven't been able to reach them. I've had great experiences in the past which makes me sad that this was my most recent experience. Dear Sacred Mountain Spa Team, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to share my experience from the massage service I received on March 21. I want to be upfront that I have gone back and forth on whether to send this email, but after taking some time to reflect, I feel it is important to communicate my concerns. Unfortunately, the service I received was not relaxing and did not meet my expectations for a professional massage. Throughout the session, the technique felt rushed and consisted mostly of quick, flurry-like strokes. Rather than feeling like a therapeutic massage, it felt as though oil was simply being spread across my skin without any meaningful attention to muscle tension or relief. Additionally, an excessive amount of massage oil was used. By the end of the session, I felt uncomfortably covered in oil to the point where I needed to use a towel to wipe myself off, and even then, the towel became noticeably saturated. More concerning, later that same day I experienced a tingling sensation, like pins and needles, in two fingers on my right hand and one on my left. This sensation persisted for approximately three days after the appointment, which was both uncomfortable and unexpected following a massage. At the time of the appointment, I did not raise these concerns in person, as the therapist was positioned near the front desk area, and I did not feel comfortable addressing it at that moment. However, after reflecting on the overall experience and the physical discomfort that followed, I believe it is necessary to bring this to your attention. Given the nature of the service I received and the issues described above, I am requesting a full refund for the appointment. I do not feel that the service provided aligns with what I paid for, as the experience did not resemble a proper massage and resulted in lingering discomfort. Sacred Mountain Spa is such a gem in Mt. Shasta. I booked a hot stone massage and honestly loved everything about the experience. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the little house where they do the spa services is SO cute, cozy, and perfectly mountain-y. It feels peaceful and special, like a true retreat. Natallia gave me my hot stone massage and she was wonderful. The pressure was just right, the stones were perfectly warm, and I left feeling relaxed, grounded, and totally reset. If you're in Mt. OMGOSH- when you enter the spa there is a wonderful friendly staff that welcomes you even if helping another customer. Their. NEW BODY WRAP is unbelievable.!!! Probably need one of these often.!! Skin is SO soft and the best Massage is included. Came home with the dry brush too. Was in LaLa land when it was over. BUT. Returning soon for an amazing FACIAL. Can't wait. The spa is so relaxing!!! I had a most horrible experience (Mother of the Bride) as did the Mother of the Groom. Our first appointment was with my daughter ad myself for our mother/daughter mani-pedi. The woman who was assigned to me was clearly in a state of extreme detox- she was sweating and shaking- literally gouged into my nail bed- no one intervened- all. heard was, "Well, she's having trouble right now". I had to call it off- the next day we were scheduled for our hair appointments and while we were supposed to be received at 9:30, no one showed up until 10:00. When I questioned the manager Rebecca about this, she said she had checked with my daughter which was absolutely not true. Serious time constraints. The woman who damaged my nail bed did not show up for the hair appointment, which left us in quite a pickle. I checked into it further- there have been several incidents where bride appointments were not met- this is not a place associated directly with the resort- I did get a refund after the wedding, but again- no responsibility was taken, the Mother of the Groom was left in tears, we were lied to, and they knowingly hired/relied upon a persons with a known drug/alcohol problem. DO NOT go to this place- do not. You will not be guaranteed a reliable experience, and when it comes to a bridal party, reliability and professionalism is key. read more

This place is amazing! My sister in-law and I went for massages on a recent trip to Mt. Shasta. We left feeling so relaxed and peaceful. We returned a few days later for some pedicures which we happened to get by chance! Selena, the new nail technician on her first day was willing to take as for a last-minute appointment and she made our experience so amazing. Hands down one of the best pedicures we both have ever had. Selena was very engaging, accommodating, and overall, just so kind. My special lady friend and I made an appointment here on our rest day from the PCT. Much needed and very much appreciated! The staff was friendly, the spa was calm and quiet, and the service was very prompt. Since we are out of towners (and hikers) we got there on bikes from our hotel. When we were leaving our therapist saw we were riding bikes, stopped, loaded up our bikes, and drove us back to our hotel! Can't ask for better service than that, and it was especially nice that we were able to remain relaxed after the massages by not having to take a two mile bike ride. Great massages. Such a therapeutic experience! We were fortunate to get a last minute booking for a Sunday couples massage. What a hidden gem in this gorgeous town! The minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a beverage. The atmosphere is very clean and relaxing. It was one of the best massages we have ever had and we have been to a lot in Oregon. The atmosphere of the spa is very calm and relaxing from the moment you walk in the door. You definitely get a feel for sacred Mt. Shasta when you are in there. I have visited this spa numerous times and it has always been very clean and welcoming. I have had several facials and a wax done by both Rebecca and Vanessa and both are fabulous and very knowledgeable. I've also had a massage which was wonderful, can't remember the massage therapists name. I started coming in to help get my skin looking healthy again after dealing with acne scarring. I always get the Eminence Organic Customized Facial which is an hour long and is absolutely amazing. The tech works with my skin to decide what is best for it, and you also get a hot towel foot wrap that is just the icing on the cake.. It is just the best facial ever. On Mother's Day I had 5 of us go in for different treatments and we all had a wonderful experience, the staff was very accommodating to all of us coming in there. I'm a guest at The Resort and called the spa to make an appointment. Unfortunately, they are all booked up and have a wait list. What I don't understand is how do you operate a business that opens at 11 am on a busy day? Let me help you....open at 8 am and accommodate your customers. I have NEVER heard of a spa that opens at 10 or 11 am on the weekend. The massage therapists complain about limited business in this small town. My husband and I had a couples massage here for Valentine's Day and I was very impressed and satisfied with the service. We got a great deal -- $160 for an hour long couples massage, champagne/sparking apple cider, and chocolate. My massage therapist was Jade and when I told her I was pregnant, she was so excited and accommodating! They had a perfect body pillow for my belly and boobs when I started off laying on my stomach. They had a very comfortable elevated pillow for when i switched over so I didn't have to lay flat on my back. I also really love that they used coconut oil instead of super fragrancy stuff. My partner called Sacred Mtn Spa about a last minute massage with scalp and foot treatment. We were traveling and camping so it was difficult to get ahold of us. But Rebecca was patient and worked with us via voicemail. Then two gps programs took me to the wrong location and when I called, Rebecca said that happens often and gave me accurate directions. So I was about 10 minutes late for an appointment I was trying to be 10 minutes early to. Again, Rebecca was patient and kind when I arrived a bit harried. Jade provided the massage and was awesome. I appreciated being invited to express any emotions that might come up during the massage. The whole experience of the massage, scalp treatment, and foot treatment was incredible! I honestly felt better than I have in a very long time afterwards. I also felt like I could take my time getting up and out. Part of the package included tea so I enjoyed that afterwards in the waiting area. I'm more of a coffee drinker but I really enjoyed the tea! We travel to Mt. Shasta about four times each year and the quality of the service and the patience with our weird communication situation are the reasons I'll be back next time we're in Mt. Shasta! read more

I can't say enough about this wonderful little spa. My husband and I enjoyed massages here to celebrate my birthday. We rarely take the time to do things like this, but are so glad we did this time. I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. We each have different problem areas in our bodies and each massage therapist targeted those problem areas and worked them out so well. They also worked out areas we didn't realize we were holding tension in until it was finally eased. These ladies really knew what they were doing.
