I love them all! Awesome place, great vibes, tattoo's always come out awesome! Would highly recommend this shop to anyone!

Now I have a 2 because their communication sucks!! Like really really bad! I had called to book an appointment or to see about a tattoo. Guy told me to message them on IG cuz it would be better to communicate about the tattoo I wanted. Nope took days for them to communicate and also believe it was multiple ppl messaging at the same time. (Because they would ask same question that I just answered). The conversation just went around the bush and I had to call again. They thought I was playing around. Day came and went in. Nobody was at the desk. No communication still until they were ready to tattoo u. They got a 2 because 1 they r the cheapest shop in Salem! 2 they r the only ones that do flash tats. The girls there do awesome tats! I had one she was good. I also messaged her on IG after the fact and she messaged right back!! read more

Corey took the idea in my mind and designed/stenciled a masterpiece. Johnny was also very helpful in the consulting process, and Nick was a friendly apprentice/DJ during the appointment. Small miscommunication with the appointment time, which Corey did right by me with the price. Highly recommend the team at Sacred Harp. read more

I had the absolute best experience at Sacred Harp recently! My friend and I popped in for a Friday the 13th flash tattoo and they had a huge selection. The guy at the front desk as well as our tattoo artist were so sweet and really made the visit to Sacred Harp enjoyable. Ive been tattooed at my different places and theres always a certain attitude in these shops but I didnt feel that here at all. Our tattoos were small and done quickly, but were super clean. 10/10 experience! read more

This shop is my absolute go to for any piece I want to get. I got my first piece in 2014 by Bix and it was my first shop experience and I was not let down! Kyle's also done a piece on me and my friends. Jesse has done 5 pieces on me in the last 6 years and I absolutely love them, I get compliments all the time. All of the guys here are wicked talented and really chill. Whatever style tattoo you want to get, big or small, there's an artist at Sacred Harp to help you get exactly what you're looking for. If you're local to Salem, or stopping by for some spooks, definitely come here to get something done! read more

The perfect artist and shop for a first tattoo! Ray Young was incredibly patient and communicative throughout the entire process. He took his time to explain each step and kept the entire experience light-hearted and fun, without any hint of judgement. You could tell he loves his job and takes great responsibility in making sure each client is completely happy with their experience. He eased any anxiety I had and I could not recommend him enough! read more

Pumped to see all these five-star reviews for my favorite tattoo shop; these guys definitely deserve it! Bix has been doing tattoos for me for 3 years and many more to come. He is a true artist - take one look at his instagram (@abixbytattoo) and #saynomorefam. He can do all kinds of styles, but his specialty & most amazing work is old school traditional. That said, I have an elephant head mandala that's about 6"x6" on the front of my thigh and it's AMAZING. Love it every time I look down! Give him a few ideas and he'll draw up something spectacular (or more than one version of something) and help you choose the best fit for you. Oh, and he's a super nice guy with a super nice wife (hi, Jess!) -- so that's a plus. What else matters... - Cost: *CASH ONLY* and completely reasonable. But these are good tattoos! Don't expect to pay $60 for a quality tattoo. Go somewhere and pay $60 and then come to Sacred Harp and pay what it's actually worth to cover it up... just sayin'! - Cleanliness: 100%. The shop is clean, the individual work areas are VERY clean, everything is sterilized and in sealed packages, tables are covered with hospital-style paper. I've never even thought about cleanliness here, and that's exactly what you want. - Service: Above & beyond. You get great "tattoo service" - from the initial consultation to the final product, but you also get a great overall experience when you're there. Everyone is friendly, so you're not just sitting there sticking out like a sore thumb while a bunch of old friends talk around you (which I have experienced elsewhere). I mean.. you can sit there by yourself if you WANT, but if you have a little bit of a wait everyone who works here is a hoot. Say hi! - Follow-Up: You can buy anything you need for after-care here, and your artist will give you instructions and suggestions. If you need anything touched up, they're pretty awesome about it (FYI: I've never needed anything touched up, and I'm in the sun literally all summer). They also have some pretty sweet gear in the front so you can pick up a tank top/t-shirt/sticker on your way out, but there's no hard sell. If you are in the market for some ink, you owe it to yourself to check out Sacred Harp! read more

I've been going to Bix close to 6 months now and I fucking love this guy! He's a solid guy and I've had nothing but an amazing experience thus far! He's in the process of doing my left leg sleeve and it's literally perfect . His presence is very inviting and he's passionate about every tattoo he does. Getting tattooed is overall a shitty experience, but Bix makes it very comfortable and keeps things entertaining. His attention to detail is phenomenal and all of his pieces hold up beautifully over time. I definitely recommend Bix and you will not be disappointed! read more

There can be pleasure in pain. By far the best tattoo experience I've had. I went on a whim with my perpetual partner in mild crimes after an uninviting experience at a shop just steps away from my house. We showed up an hour and a half before close and met a cool, laid-back guy eager to help us round out the vague tattoo ideas we spewed at him. Turns out this cool young guy was the owner. He not only tolerated, but participated in our ridiculous conversation ranging from Thundercats to Tetris as he etched the coolest little apple onto the side of my foot. The shop itself was as sterile as you'd hope a place you go to willingly spill your own blood might be. But also, comfortable with inviting leather seating and plasma TVs. The price was fair, the work was quick, and the pain minimal. I'll definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone - already inked or otherwise. read more

Much like the reviewer before me, our band of hooligans decided that tattoos were a good idea at about 9:30 (or was it 10:30?) at night- either way 1/2 hour before Sacred Harp closed- we called and they said to come on down. They made time for the 4 of us (we all got something small) and were extremely accommodating and friendly. 3 out of the 4 of us already had tattoos and they didn't make a big deal of the fact that it was my friends first- she was a little nervous and they did a good job of putting her fears to rest. The shop was extremely clean, the people were very friendly, and they didn't act put out that they were there a little late because of us. I would definitely recommend Sacred Harp and plan on going there again for something larger! read more

Nothing says taking a chance like Tuesday night tattoo's out of nowhere.... So me and my friend Kristen made a decision to get some random tattoos out of lack of anything better to do. Seeing as this was a spur of the moment thing I didn't have the time to book my normal person so we saw this place on my space and said screw it, lets just do it. We walked in and the shop was extremely clean, which is the first thing that I look for seeing as I'm about to pay someone here to repeatedly stick needles into me. It also had flat screen TVs everywhere which is good in the event someone comes who's not getting one. The owner Corey is young, but he knows what he;s doing and that the standard I hold people, I could give a shit about how old they are. He's done tattoos all over the world so I figured his credentials checked out. I didn't get anything to crazy complicated, I got an ambiagram on the inside of my arm, but it still came out perfect, actually it came out better then I had pictured it, so needless to say I got what I paid for. My friend got an apple on her foot and she loves hers too. Also it was pretty fast for a tattoo, which was good cause it was the inside of my arm and hurt like a bastard. All and all this place is a close second to the woman who will always do my tattoo's, but all things considered Ill definitely go back! read more

Amazing shop with great, talented people, highly recommend

Do not get a tattoo here. I live from out of state and my mom and I wanted a tattoo after having visited Salem 3 times now and loving the place so much. After careful research, we decided to call this place based on their glowing online reviews. We booked an appointment with Ray for October 30th. However when we arrived, the shop was closed and no one was there. We had given them my number prior to this and never received a phone call from them having to cancel the appt. Luckily we got in as a walk-in at another tattoo shop in the area that day but that is an unprofessional way to run your business. read more

I ran in to get a very small simple tattoo. He did it in no time and charged me a fair price. This place is super clean and trustworthy. I will definitely return for more tattoos. Just remember this place is cash only!!! read more

We just took a road trip from New York to Massachusetts. We had made a last minute decision to get tattoos in Salem. I reached out to a bunch of shops a day or so before we reached Salem and this was one of the few shops that even answered my email asking to get in for an appointment. I get that we decided only a few days before and that we went to Salem in October. I was amazed that Corey not only answered but encouraged us to come by whenever we could! I came in not expecting them to have any artists available but they did. The paperwork was so fast and simple. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They worked with me and made sure I was happy with the stencil and placement. They really took their time with me. Nolan tattooed me and he was honest, hilarious, and made us feel very comfortable. Everyone their talked to us and made conversation and it was overall just a fantastic experience. I had a great time, the line work is just awesome, and I would 100% go back. I am typically the type of person who shops around for a shop and artist for a while. I am incredibly lucky to have gotten such a talented artist and that they took me for a walk in appointment during Salems busiest time of year! So grateful! read more

This shop, staff, and owner made this experience absolutely incredible!! I was visiting a friend of mine in Salem. I hadn't called ahead to make an appointment, (which I recommend for a weekend visit). I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Edgar took a look at there schedule for the day and worked to get me in. He took my name and number to let me know when I could come back that day because I wasn't from around there. They were able to work with what I wanted, helped make it the size I wanted, and even my budget. When I arrived, I met Corey and discussed my tattoo. I didn't know at that point that he was the owner. After they were able to get me in for my tattoo and having the owner himself do my tattoo, I was super glad I have selected this shop!! I live a little over an hour away and I would take the drive there for my next tattoo!! Prices: $$ Cleanliness: 5 stars! Accommodation: 5 stars! Thank you Corey and Edgar!!! You both made the experience perfect and memorable!! read more

Another fantastic job by Corey and the gang at at Sacred Harp Tattoo. These guys knock it out of the park every time! I have been there a half dozen times and every experience has been great. Omg Jessie is amazing!!!!! I went in June from NYC and he was amazingly pleasant. My tattoo is awesome! I have gotten all my tattoos here and to be honest this is the only place I will go to get them done. Two of mine have been done by Bixby and one by Corey. Two of the nicest guys ever. I will be returning as soon as I figure out my next tattoo and have the money for it since its gonna be a good size :) shop is clean and needles are always cleaner. Couldn't have asked for a better place or better people to have tatted me. I love this place and will always get my tattoos here. Well worth it. read more
