I love Nell's. I…read moreeven tell people about Nell's when I'm working in Utah or when I meet people who are also from out of town in rock springs haha. The gals that work there are always so bright and cheery and so sweet. I like a sweet coffee and they have this banana cold foam that has a grip on me, I get it every time. 99.5% of the time I get hot drinks because thats what I prefer but that banana cold foam has me getting blended drinks just so I can enjoy it. I haven't been to the other locations but this one has my heart. I love their sweet rolls but I REALLY love sweets. If you're not huge into sweets then you'll want to ask for less icing or icing on the side because it is piled on there- which *i* love but my friends who aren't as into sweets find a little overwhelming. Occasionally they have made a few mistakes on our order because it's a car full of people who all have substitutions and add ins but it hasn't made us not want to go because the coffee and service are good. This is my go to spot for coffee during the week. This current location is closed on Sundays when I usually leave town which is sad but has let me explore other local chains. They have a loyalty program which is great because my friends and I come here every day we are in town haha. I always look forward to my first mocha of the week at Nell's though!

The food was excellent and we wanted to sit and chat, so we didn't mind that it took a while. The southwest wrap is a bit spicier than I expected, so prepare yourself for that chipotle spice kick!

A work injury and multiple back surgeries have changed how quickly he walks, but it's never changed his generosity. Our family calls him "Tío GPS" because he knows the roads, the places worth seeing, and the places where travelers feel safe. This breakfast was meant to be a treat before his birthday. Instead, he and his daughter-in-law left upset and humiliated. They told me the waiter was rude and that the eggs were missing from his order. When my tío asked about them, the waiter exaggerated his pronunciation of "eggs" to mock the way my tío speaks. Three women at another table joined in and mocked him as well. He should have been able to ask about his breakfast without being made fun of. I reached out because I wanted the restaurant to hear how this affected him. As of this review, I have not received a response from the manager or the restaurant. I hope they take his experience seriously and make clear that every guest deserves dignity and respect.

We recently visited Cowboy Donuts on an early Friday morning while heading west on a road trip…read more Before I get into the donuts, I must point out the overall lovely vibe inside the store. Despite how busy and crowded it can get in a smaller store during peak hours, there was just an undeniable joy in the air radiating off of all the patrons in the store. Anyways, onto the donuts. The Apple Fritter, despite its lack of outer texture had a really nice crispy glaze on the outside with a generally soft and moist dough on the inside. While I couldn't find many apples and would've preferred a heavier cinnamon flavor, the Fritter was still delicious. (7.2/10) I was most excited to try the Buttermilk Cake Donuts as they aren't as common in our area, but they didn't have the signature tang that sets buttermilk donuts apart from regular cake donuts. Regardless, the dough was dense, moist, and as a member of team Cake, I was not disappointed. I would highly suggest trying the vanilla iced coconut buttermilk; flavor explosion. (7.8/10) The Raised Donuts are very soft and lean more airy than pillowy. Mine had a noticeably fresh chew to it even underneath all the toppings which I was really impressed by. (8.3/10) The real standout was the Old Fashioned Cake Donut. While the chocolate icing didn't fully hit the mark on texture, the donut itself was divine; perfectly crunchy texture with a stable crumb and delightful sweetness. Very impressed. (9.2/10) Additionally, the service was quick and staff were willing to answer questions that I had about the donuts. Overall, while there were some things to be desired, the only real regret I have about my visit to Cowboy Donuts is that I ran out of donuts. Definitely check this store out if you're passing through Rock Springs.
