Went to Smith's pharmacy to refill heart meds, the pills were not the same as I have been getting for 6 plus years. I went back to check if these pills were correct, they said they switched brands but prescription is same, didn't even look at the pills. Three days after taking the new brand my heartbeat was racing and would not settle back down. Went back to the pharmacy and explained what was happening, the woman at the counter said in no uncertain terms that is what we have and we don't take pills back. No offer whatsoever to try to help the customer with any options. read more

Went to Smiths yesterday, to pick up a few things and don't know what was going on and the cashiers were ignorant as can be there were two young girls cashiers at the self check out that were jerks and there was the one I went threw with a cashier that checked me out before I even got up to cash register I noticed she has been kind of snobby to the lady in front of me as she is checking her out then I was next and the phone rang. She has the phone by saying yeah she didn't say Smith is welcome to Smith or anything just yeah, then she check me out. They handed me my bags and I walked out and went home and then noticed I didn't get one in my bags so we called them. They said the bag was there but didn't say sorry or anything when we went back to get it. It's a pretty standard grocery store, nothing remarkable and nothing patently offensive. It reminds of a Safeway (or Carrs, for the 3 of you reading this from Alaska). There is a liquor store attached. The selection of beer is limited. However, a good 30-50% of the beer cooler is taken up by blue bricks of Bud Light. Do people really buy that much Bud Light or is InBev paying ya'll to take up all that space and squeeze out the littler, tastier breweries? read more

The Smith's store in Rock Springs is my go-to place for all my grocery, pharmacy, and liquor wants and needs. The staff members are courteous and helpful. Store is clean and organized. Check-outs are quick and accurate. I especially appreciate the periodic lot sales, as I like to be prepared for extended emergencies. A butcher counter was added recently, and the choices are presented favorably to the customer. read more

This isn't one of the cleaner or nicer Smiths in my opinion. We stopped by on the way to our hotel so we could grab some drinks and snacks after a very long day on the road. It certainly wasn't dirty, just not really nice like I come to expect from Smith's. My sandwich from the deli was decent and my girlfriend said her sushi was fine. read more

Pharmacy refused to fill my 2 year old son's RSV medication because we aren't from this state. I have never felt so discriminated against in my life. They called asking to speak to my 2 year old son. Extremely rude, don't do business with them!!! read more

I wish I could say that I was surrounded by a plethora of excellent grocery stores, but Rock Springs just ain't the bright lights / big city experience. On the other hand, the folks here do their best to be friendly, run some decent specials, and offer a reasonable selection. this is where we prefer to shop for groceries. Friendly, easy to get around prices are good and if you use there club card you can get above the average savings... plus you get fuel discounts at several gas stations. Walmart may have more items but most of that stuff is not the what you use on a day to day bases the only competition would be Albertson's meat market as for beef quality and quantity ... otherwise this is where we shop and recommend it to others. This store has a huge selection of all natural and organic stuff. The meat is good, the veggies are amazing and good quality. Everything is neat and organized. The staff is friendly. Has everything you could need. The beer selection could be better, but this store is fantastic! Coming from Texas, is was expecting this small town to have terrible organic selections. Tried to get an rx filled at the pharmacy. Script in hand, I told the pharmacist that they would need to contact the dr's office to get the rx filled. She took it to a computer, then wrote "may not fill before x-date". Again, I told her she would need to contact the dr to get it authorized. She shrugged and said "We wouldn't do anything with this even if the doctor authorized it." She then tapped the rx script and in a very condescending tone asked "Just where is your medicine?" Very rude and unprofessional. Be careful about what you try to get filled here. read more
