In 2015 he so transformed the inner courtyard garden and entryway plantings that the experience of going there was definitely enhanced spiritually. It's a beautiful church now more beautiful, to enter and then proceed from, into the little gem of a garden space, cleared of its clutter to highlight features I'd never noticed before in many years of attending. Now you know you're in a spot where worshippers have been for more than a century past. A touch of nature was always nice there; now there's a new experience of deep peace, drawn from the order and the lovely new plants and gently sculpted trees. It reminds me of when I moved my home-based marketing consulting business into my first co-op on W. 23rd St., and had an architect redo it to meet my dual needs for working space within a real home with an exposed-brick wall and a fireplace. You could breathe there. You can breathe deeply now in St. Peter's garden space and entry/exit."
