Samantha is THE best! I was able to get in on the same day. She is always friendly and helpful. Great advice and tips for short hair!

Got a wedding to go to soon and asked for a mid fade all around and got a mid fade on one side and a terrible high fade on the other side of my head and! A neat little bald spot from where the barber nicked me around my temple bro was really trying to just show me the left side of my head when he put the mirror up at the end and I did not notice my uneven hair until the next day cause I was running around for most of the day after my cut. Been coming here for years now and that was the last time. Don't know if he was mad at me for not really being a talker when I'm in the chair or if it was cause I was sweating a bit cause I run hot and the cape doesn't help but this is just crazy. Feels intentional and if it wasn't it was an enormous lapse in donny's skill which is startling considering the numerous good cuts I've gotten in the past read more

This place goes above and beyond!! Son got a great fade here!! Excellent staff!! Definitely check in for availability and they are great for detail!! read more

0/10 didn't give me what I asked for and if you do come here don't book Collin very unprofessional

One of the best barber locations I've been to. Tons of phenomenal barbers with top notch skills. I go to Donny here and he has been cutting my hair phenomenally for years! read more

I saw Jason at Sacred Barbers. I showed him an old photo of myself, he said no problem. You know how it is with a new cutter. You're apprehensive. Didn't have to worry about this cut. First time and he hit like a 98%! He'll fine tune it next cut. Jason is my "Go-To Cutter!" Great job, Jason. Thanks. read more

Jessica has been my go-to for two years now. She's easy to book with and always makes sure I'm satisfied with the cut before I leave her chair. She does a great job! read more

Great place!!! Nephews loved their haircuts. Cool location. Thanks for the excellent service.

This was a fun and vibrant place to get a quality hair cut. I went online and picked a barber that was available at the time I wanted. I prepaid. Walked right in and the barber was ready for my son. My son is special needs and haircuts are terrifying for him. This was our first time, and the barber was completely amazing. He was calm! He talked through everything with my son. Although my son wasn't very responsive, the barber stayed calm and worked quick. I really appreciated his professionalism and compassion. Everyone there seemed so relaxed and were enjoying themselves. I'd recommend this place for a man's cut anytime. read more

I've been going here for almost two years. My barber is Cole, and he's great! (Oh, I am 61)... Anyhow, he's learned what I want out of my haircut and he delivers! He's friendly and personable - but he cuts hair and doesn't gab. So, it's pretty great experience. The shop is staffed and run by the "beard and tattoo" clan. They all super friendly and very professional! Being a lot older than them (and gay) I was happy to see how friendly and welcoming they are always to me! My partner also comes here, he loves it! You can book appointments and pay online via the squire app. It's all very modern! That's it -- they're great -- patronize them! read more

Very happy with my fade from Joshua. The shop is very friendly, clean and the work speaks for itself. Will be returning and highly recommended for everyone to check it out! read more

I was frantically searching for a place to cut my brother's hair the day before our Dad's funeral. My brother is special needs and our Dad used to take him to a random hair salon to get his hair cut so my brother didn't really know how to tell a stylist what to do. So I called up Sacred Barbers and Jesse was so kind and was able to fit Jeff in. I told Jesse to just make him look good and that he might have a hard time explaining what he wanted done. Jesse understood the assignment! We arrived a little early so that my brother could get adjusted to the sounds and environment before starting the cut. When I tell you, this place is cool to look at. Taxidermy...flash tattoo artwork...gnomes, this place has it all! When it was time for Jesse to start Jeff's cut, he was so patient when Jeff tried explaining what he wanted done. He got to work meticulously cutting his hair and even trimmed Jeff's eyebrows which he'd apparently never had done before as he's been telling literally everyone to go see Jesse because "he'll even trim your eyebrows!" The cut was $40, which in my opinion is a steal for the level of service, the vibe and comparison to other barber shops. Thank you so much for caring for my brother and treating him like a normal guy. And more so making him feel confident at our Dad's funeral. read more

Great place with great people and great haircuts. Both my boys go here to get their haircuts, and they absolutely love it.

We heard about this place from a friend when asking around for a good barber. My son (14 yo) said afterwards that he has never liked his hair so much. He was there for an hour with Carlos--the two of them were chatting the entire time while I sat outside at the Starbucks next door. Good value, clean shop, everyone super friendly. We have found our forever barber!! Thank you, Carlos!! read more

They are excellent!! Extremely great customer service, quality and an unbeatable vibe!!!

Great location, great people, great haircut for my toddler grandson. Highly recommend all Sacred Barbers.

Normally i go see Carlos for a cut. Ive been seeing him since his last location. Cool dude, good cuts. Sadly, I will not be returning to this location. Went to get a cut on 06/19 which happened to be Juneteenth. The older white lady that works there had some choice words about the holiday to where the whole shop was able to hear. Not only did she very loudly express her dissent about Juneteeth being a holiday but as well as 'queer ass liberals'. Very strange considering half the shop and clientele look queer themselves.... Considering the political climate we're in, it was very inappropriate to have those types of conversations out loud and very dissappointing to hear as a paying customer. read more

I bring my teenage son who is *super* picky about his hair to Manny, and he always gets it right for him. My son doesn't want to go anywhere else. He loves the relaxed barbershop vibe, and appreciates the conversation. My boyfriend also comes here, and his hair looks amazing every time. Worth every penny! read more

I needed a haircut pretty last minute and ended up on the Sacred Barbers website. The website is clean, simple, and easy to use. From there I was able to pick which professional, what service, and what time I wanted to work with. I decided to pick a specific service with whichever professional was available and I was very lucky to have gotten Oscar A. as my barber for the day. Oscar welcomed me as soon as I came in and immediately started addressing my needs while setting up (where to put my stuff, desired hair, etc.). If someone were to tell me this was the nicest guy on the planet, I'd have a hard time not believing it because he was so accommodating and always checking with me to see if everything was good. He was professional and had mild tendencies of a perfectionist. As far as conversations went, I had a nice time talking with Oscar as he was working. He gave me easily one of the best cuts I've ever had. read more

I came to Sacred Barbers after receiving a poor haircut from another (unaffiliated) shop; I explained what went wrong and what I had wanted, and Bryan and Jacob were LIFESAVERS. Great shop. I usually dread getting haircuts, but Jesse was skilled, friendly, and did exactly what I asked for.

Sacred Barbers is my go-to barbershop in Sacramento. 5/5 every time. The shop is clean, well-organized, and always has the best vibe. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and they clearly care about delivering quality service. Recently I had an outstanding customer experience with Jessica, she gave me an excellent haircut, super professional, and made the whole process really enjoyable. Haircut in my son turned out awesome. We will def be back to the Arden location. Thank you

Great atmosphere here, but so far my wife and few other friends and myself notice the uneven trim and cut on my hair from Jesse... sorry no matter how I put the product can't seem to make my hair style look even normal instead of a pineapple cut. A tree sprouting. Sad to say, can't wait to get a new cut to fix this....once my hair grows back out read more

extremely racist, overheard several things being said and noticed several customers' discomfort about it. i've been told that Proud Boy merch was displayed and taken down after a bad review, but that's not my experience. extremely unfortunate and disgusting. read more

We love Samantha! She does a great job and takes her time with my 8 year old son. She is so sweet. He always feels so good when he leaves and looks even better. I would definitely recommend her or Oscar. They are both wonderful. The shop is always pretty busy so I'm sure everyone there is great. The environment is welcoming and friendly. We just happened to try Samantha our first trip and stayed with her because she is so awesome. read more

First time at a barbershop ever in life. I had a grown out pixie cut and I saw some pics of two female clients with the same. I needed mine trimmed down from the back and sides because it was uneven and overgrown compared to the rest. I don't know much about short hair cuts and styles because I haven't had it short for over a decade and so it was hard for me to articulate what I needed aside from how I just did on this paragraph. He described what was going to do. It was hard for me to visualize any of it because I'm not familiar with electric razor type of cuts and styles so I didn't know how to answer what he was asking. I trusted his expertise and told him do what you think is going to look good on me (as long as it looks better right?) As he turned me around I caught a glimpse from the mirror across and i realized I went from Betty Boop to Kim Jung Un and I wasn't sure how it was going to progress. Once he was down I looked and the top was a lot longer than the rest with no transitions. I didn't like it so I told him to cut it shorter which he did. Still didn't like it but at this point I did not have enough hair left to fix so I paid and left. The establishment is trendy and nice, they were playing indie rock which is my genre and I was offered a shot or a beer, I declined so not sure the selection. The staff were nice and friendly and and every thing was great except the actual cut which was sad because I paid a lot and then had to go home and have my friend fix it. I will try this place again but maybe choose a female barber since the cut I got was very masculine (i legit got a flat top, my friends and co workers were concerned) and didn't look right for my face or style and there were a lot of uneven spots on the side of my head. read more

I've tried several barber shops in the Sacramento area since moving here in 2017, and this spot is by far the best. The main reason I checked this place out was when my barber Donny joined them. He's the best barber in Sacramento (seriously, if you're looking for a barber book with him - can't miss), so I had to give his new shop a shot. And I'm so glad I did! It's a great, fun, relaxing environment and fairly priced. All of the barbers know their stuff. They also use some of the best products I've experienced, too. They turned me on to this awesome pomade from Uppercut Deluxe that's the best I've ever used. So give them a call and book with Donny - you won't be disappointed. read more

The haircut was great. I went there twice and have no complaints there. What's stopping me from returning might be no big deal to some, but to me it matters. On the bottom of each chair is a carefully and artfully made sign that says, "This is not a F&$#ING step!" I guess the owner was frustrated that people were breaking/damaging some of the vintage barber chairs. Well, I don't appreciate being yelled at upon entering a business for the first time. I also don't appreciate profanity being lobbed at me repeatedly as I sit in the chair and have to stare at that. I don't have sons, but if I did, I couldn't take them in here in good conscience. Like I said, it might not matter to most, but it's enough to keep me looking for a barber that will be my go to for at least the next decade. As long as those signs are there, this one isn't going to be it. Too bad because the haircut, barber, and everything else were perfectly nice. read more
