NOT recommended for colour here. Worst experience of my life. I get my hair done every few months,…read moreand it is the only experience I have ever had to hold back tears at any appointment - it was that bad. Over a year later, hair colourists at other salons still make comments about the horrible dye job I have growing out. Apparently, the artist here also used metallic dye when she gave me the blotchy, botched balayage job, which is a no-no for hair, has ruined it, and has made it hard to correct the color. Not only was the hair colouring a horrible experience, but when I arrived, I very clearly remember waiting 15 minutes for the receptionist to acknowledge me while she was on the phone. Why do I remember this? Because the stylist came out finally after I was checked in and scolded me for being late! Wow, really? Then the appointment happened. It lasted HOURS because the colourist messed up and had to try again. She was ROUGH and got colour all over my face. This is when I was seriously trying not to cry. She never got it right. After the appointment, the stylist who messed up the colour offered a second appointment to fix it in the future. No thanks - I'm not reliving that experience! Icing on the cake is how over a year later stylists continue to comment on the horrible job done on the end of my hair, finally growing out. I'm thankful that it's almost all gone now and that I've found some better stylists to return to. Ultimately, I thought I was making an educated decision coming here with all the great reviews, but years later I still look back at this as one traumatic experience. Not recommended.

I'll start this review off by saying if I could give this rating a negative number I would…read more This is the worst schooling experience I've ever had. Money sucking vultures is the perfect way to describe how little the administration and owner care about their students education. One of many examples: they sold me right handed scissors - I'm left handed! Zero concern for their students! After completing my barber program I entered into the industry with close to no knowledge on proper barbering techniques, this includes no proper fading techniques, zero use of a straight razor, no blending techniques, barely any scissor over comb techniques and the list goes on. And after speaking with several people who completed the same course they actually had real barbers come in once a week to teach them proper techniques I was not offered this nor offered a discount because of this. The 1 or 2 classes we spent on how to fade really got me nowhere and I've been struggling ever since! When I reached out to the administration regarding these concerns after completing the program, I was approached with a negative attitude by the owner and saying I should be more appreciative because he offered me a 1 day visit at a barber shop that I never even received! Most of the 3 months were focused on scissor work which isn't a bad thing however when most of the industry focuses on fades and tapering I learned maybe 1 way to do a fade and that isn't even a technique that's being used on the job. So my question is why call the program a "Complete Barbering" course when 90% of the class wasn't even on proper barber techniques?! If I were you I would save your money and invest into learning from a barber who actually works in the industry.

Would NEVER recommend this school to anyone. Steer clear and save your money. I had graduated from…read morehairdressing from another school and enrolled in the barbering program. There's only one teacher for all the programs available. He was very unprofessional, often on his phone watching youtube videos during class time, watching shows or checking his facebook. He would even send students out to get his coffee. Since there was only one teacher he couldn't pay attention to everyone and would ask the students to teach each other. They asked me to teach the students things completely unrelated to my program. I ended up teaching them hairdressing, colours formulas, etc. Through the entire program he didn't show us any clipper techniques not even for a basic fade. When he tried to teach the class how to shave he ended up cutting my classmate repeatedly and making him bleed. I Iater found out he never worked as a barber to begin with. I learned all of my barbering techniques from work. The program is unstructured and the teacher doesn't follow any curriculum. The 'textbook' is just a bunch of papers they photocopied and stapled together. Extremely disappointing experience it wasn't anything like what they advertised.
