I went inside and noticed how big and spacious it was inside. The service at the counter was friendly. I ordered a beef patty, jerk shrimp with rice and peas and cabbage and a ginger beer. The ginger beer was spicy but it wasn't anything that I would order again. The shrimp, cabbage and rice and peas were delicious. The beef patty was a little burned but still good. I'll return to try their other items in the future. I'm grateful that a Jamaican restaurant opened up a little closer to me and I didn't have to drive further out to San Pedro and 410 or 151 and Military. I wonder if this is the same Little Jamaica that used to be off Walzem and 35 back in the 2010s.

The curry goat was delicious, but I am also looking forward to the oxtail. The service was great. Friendly and quick, Ms. Yolanda explained their set up locations, and offered me the I think I waited less than 5min to get my complete order. If you were interested in something quick and easy, consider their beef patties. Spicy and tasty. Service is A1, food is next level. Certainly a good alternative to burgers and BBQ...which I love, but enjoy a break from. Waiting for the next time.

Only recently found out this location had been on the show, so my wife and I thought "why not?" Bottom line: I'm usually underwhelmed by the places Guy features on DDD. However, I wasn't this time. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. Got lucky our server was Puerto Rican and could walk us through some different items and words on the menu. She was a gem. I knew NOTHING about Puerto Rican food before last Wednesday night. Started with the plantain chips and dip: we ate the whole thing. Wonderful. Highly recommend. My entree was the El Condado steak with arroz con gandules and savory beans. Highly recommend, although I found my steak pretty damn tough to cut and undercooked. Like, seriously pinker than I'd like considering I ordered it medium. My wife ate one of the Mofongo dishes. Everything was very good. Wish my steak had been cooked more and that service hadn't trailed off toward the end, but I still think the whole package is worth that fourth star. Great date night location.

They moved location about 3 weeks ago and I love the vibes of the new location just down the street. I always receive great service. Check out the lunch buffet. Tasty and inexpensive. A great way to sample different offerings. Do it!!!
