Was in the area so I met my friend for lunch here. It's a small spot, but they have a lot of takeout traffic. The cashier was very helpful and kind. The menu is extensive, so there is something for everything if you like Jamaican food. I tried the chicken curry combo with rice beans and plantains. I also had a side of Festival. My friend had the beef patty, cabbage, and plantains. The portions are large. It was so much that I took a full portion home. The Festival was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All of the food was very flavorful and seasoned well. I just wish that the curry had a little spice to it. I know that Jamaicans are known for that, so I was kind of expecting it. Overall, we had a good meal with leftovers, and the price was reasonable.

Top tier Jamaican food...in Cibolo? It felt weird to even type that but here we are. I heard about this place from a family member and decided to give it a go. They have two parking spots out front but there is a small parking lot in the back. We parked and entered. Most people were coming in and out ordering takeout, but we decided to eat in. The interior of the restaurant was pretty simple. Nothing fancy. I loved their selection of music. I found it hilarious that they did not play one Caribbean song the entire time I was there. It was all Nigerian music lol. I added some great new songs to my afrobeat playlist after my meal here. I ordered the brown stew chicken and the other person in my party ordered the curry goat. We also ordered a jerk chicken patty to share. We got the last jerk chicken patty, so it must be pretty popular. My brown stew chicken was really good. Tender, fall off the bone chicken, rice and peas, 5 big pieces of plantain, and a whole bunch of stewed cabbage. I just wish it had a little spice or that they offered spicy sauce on the side. The portions are hearty. We both enjoyed our meals and took about half home in takeaway boxes. Their prices are reflective of their portion sizes and the menu was sizable. I had a hard time choosing what to get, but that just means that I will have to come back to try the rest of the menu! 4.5 stars from me rounds up to a 5 star experience. I'll be back to try the escovitch fish and the jerk chicken next.

I took a road trip to Cibolo to visit my friend, and as I headed to her house, I saw the Jamaican Food flags. As soon as I got to my friends house, I looked up Mama Mill's to see if they were open, and I was so excited that they were. I've been craving Jamaican food for a few weeks, and my friend has never had Jamaican food, so I said, "Let's go try Mama Mill's." We were greeted when we walked in, and the host was very nice and talked very kindly to us. I ordered the Oxtail combo that came with rice, cabbage, and plantains. My friend got curry goat cabbage and mac and cheese. As we were waiting for our food we were talking to each other about our lives since we hadn't seen each other for months but when we received our delicious food that was all we talked about. We keep eating and talking about how great this food is. The Oxtail was very tender and well seasoned with a Jamaican flavor, the cabbage was so good, it was the best tender and a very good flavor. I rarely order cabbage from any restaurant because it's usually too soft and mushy but this one was just right. My friend really loved the Mac and cheese and she brought another side to take home. The plantains were also cooked well and tasted good. When we were leaving she said she was going to bring her family here soon so I told her to try the patties. The only question I asked the host was do they plan to use real plates to serve the food, because our food was on paper plates that wasn't strong enough and a real plate would make the food look even better. When I make another trip to Cibolo of course I'll eat here again.

It was so nice for me. I never have been to a Jamaican restaurant before and they spent time explaining oxtail to me. It is wonderful here. So tender and flavorful. I was scared to try it but now I'm a fan! Besides the great service we received, the food was outstanding. There is so much flavor in the oxtail, which is just beef if anyone is wondering. Jerk chicken wasn't too hot. Food was wonderful, that's all that matters!

The owner of this restaurant is so kind and welcoming. This restaurant truly makes every customer feel like they're visiting their grandma's for lunch and dinner. They did a perfect job at maintaining authenticity while catering to a population that's unfamiliar with traditional flavors and delicious eats. I thought it was pretty spectacular that the staff and even the owner know practically everyone that stops by. Mama Mill's definitely has made their name known throughout this neighborhood and community. The jerk chicken is most definitely my favorite. 10/10!!

I live on the far northwest side of town, and just so happened to be on FM78 for an appointment. Well I wanted some Jamaican food and typed in to see what was near. Mama Mills was one of the suggestions. I chose it. Made my way over, ordered 2 beef patties, 1 chicken patty, two big reds and two plates - oxtail and jerk chicken . Both plates come with your choice of sides, but I got rice and peas, cabbage and plantains for both of my plates. All an all my total was $65. A tad high but let me tell you, each plate an average person could eat 3 times off of it! The portions are bountiful, the taste levels were highlights and compliments each other, very tasty food

Showed up with my friend and we noticed immediately how wonderful the smells were in this casual restaurant. The menu was full of homemade selections as well as the buffet. Lower priced than most buffets, it was an easy choice to taste many selections on one plate. There are a small set of rules set out to make everyone's experience is safe and courteous. The woman at the register was very helpful and guided us through the menu selections and process for the buffet. The buffet itself consisted of chicken dishes, rice dishes and vegetables. The dessert for the day was an amazing carrot cake. The selection on the buffet itself isn't as big as most buffets but in this case less is definitely more. Each of the items on the buffet was made fresh and had it's own individual flavor. Going back twice was filling and satisfying. Everything had a definite homemade flavor and true to the islands feel. I will absolutely be back.

A piece of the Caribbean right here in Cibolo. The people are always friendly when we walk in and the food is always great. I absolutely love their ox tail, fall off the bone good. The sides are just as good as the main course. The plantains have just the right amount of sweetness and amazing flavor. I could take a bath in their cabbage! It's the best cabbage I've had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and come try this flavor!

We wanted to try something different and order from here. It is hot and fresh and served in large portions. We ordered it delivery via Doordash. The curry sauce did spill out of the container but was in a bag. The yellow sauce will stain. The chicken curry, mac and cheese, cornbread, and jerk chicken with coconut bread are tasty. In my opinion, the jerk chicken tastes better with bread than with rice. The food is unique in flavor but not overly seasoned either. It was nice to try but not sure if we will be regular customers.

Mama Mills staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu items. The food is like being at Ms Mills home. It's prepared with quality ingredients and love! The Flavor is outstanding, i've never eaten mac & cheese that is better than mine or my mothers. I won't tell mom, I'll just enjoy it. I don't care where you live, Mama Mills is worth the drive.

Worth the trip to Cibolo, food is delicious!!! Friendly staff You order and pay at the table via the scan QR and they bring it out to you. Also have the option to order at the counter. It's a lot of food and we had to take ours to with us. Good thing they serve it in a to go container. I got the curry chicken, the spices are of course Jamaican and not the spices you find in Indian restaurants. The only negative thing I have is that my dish was too salty for my taste. My daughter enjoyed the jerk chicken. Will be back to try the oxtail plate. Happy eating y'all!!!
