I love me some polish potatoes and cheese Pierogies! My love for polish food began 20 years ago when I discovered Polka in Eagle Rock. The couple who owned it with their daughter were the sweetest and absolutely the most beautiful family. So sad they sold the business and went back to their motherland. Anyhoo, my bf had work in Detroit so I followed him for a quick turnaround vacation. (I really wanted to eat spaghetti at moms). I didn't realize the big Polish population Detroit has. I did a quick yelp search and decided to eat here because of all the stellar reviews. I love how the bread is individually wrapped (no germ spreading here). Excellent customer service: the hospitality we received from the waitress when she found out we were out of town and this was our first meal after landing, she offered us a free dessert to go :). Pickle soup is exactly what the taste is lol, I liked it but didn't love it, I should have gotten a cup. We also shared a sampler which the waitress recommended and said it was a good size portion for us. The cherry cheesecake - bomb!! All their desserts are homemade! Cute little restaurant that packs a punch. I can see why its always busy! Until next time!

If you are looking for authentic, home-style, Polish comfort food, this is definitely the place. Two of us ate here on a Friday night around 6:30 pm and the place was packed with locals. They work the tables quickly and we were seated in a few minutes. The service was very friendly and attentive. We elected to have the combination plate. It was loaded with flavor and goodness! Smoked kielbasa, stuffed cabbage, meatballs, pierogi, mashed potatoes, kapusta, and green beans! The stuffed cabbage was the highlight in my opinion. We topped it off with an apple crumble for dessert. It was a great taste and value for the price. Apple Berry Crumb Cake Cabbage Rolls Combination Plate

If you are looking for the best polish food in Michigan. Hey if you are in the area drop on in to Sabina's. Note this place is closed on Mondays. Try the all city kitchen with polish sausage it quit good. The service I like because I am always impressed how they don't write down their orders. This place is very family oriented so bring the kids. Just down good time eating here. That is all. Chief Look at the past for learning but don't look for the future. Just let it come to you.

Good home style cooking for a great price! Great service, diner type atmosphere. It was a little out of the way, but worth the drive.

I should've looked at the inside pictures more. My bad. :( The woman that runs a shop is sweet and friendly and helpful. She does events for the local kids and veterans. She also has classes for date nights and other events, for anyone that wants to learn how to make pierogi. The pierogi are all frozen, order and pay at the front counter. All orders are bagged. A small sheet of paper to give instructions on how to cook the pierogies in a pan with some butter. Suggested to eat with some sautéed onions and or sour cream for some. I got the chicken pot pie, the mushroom and mozzarella, cheddar, the potato and garlic, sauerkraut and mushroom, sauerkraut and onion. $87.04 The chicken pot pie comes with gravy and some crumbs to put on top. They have 25 different flavors, however, they were out of many and sold out , especof all the extra fellas. We cooked up the pierogi, sautéed some onions, kielbasa, kraut. We ate the potato and mushroom and mozzarella pierogi with the onions, cream cheese or sour cream. Pierogi took about 6-8 minutes on medium heat on the stovetop to brown some. The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The kraut and onion and the chicken pot pie fell apart somewhat during the cooking and flipping for us. The potatoes were as expected, not too bad.

I've spent plenty of time in Hamtramck Polish restaurants, and this one does a great job. This time…read morearound I ordered the full Polish platter. Homemade pierogies, Glumpki (soelling?), including the sauce. Awesome sauerkraut and two types of sausage, although I do prefer the smoked, both go great when dipped into a horseradish mustard sauce that they give to us upon request. I'm not a big potato pancake person, but it was homemade and prepared correctly. I also grabbed a side salad and it's not cheap iceberg salad, rather a nice variety of greens. They even catered to me when I asked for extra dressing because I like to drown my salad! I got a couple of Polish beers and they have a nice bourbon selection. My wife wasn't feeling Polish food, so she got the pork chops, which smelled great and she said were delicious. Two large cuts, right off the grill, and a bunch of sides. No complaints! The waitress was very accommodating and service was perfect. It was pretty busy in there, but she handled all of the tables and we never felt like we had to wait for anything. Cool atmosphere on the inside and plenty of parking, just a nice place to hang out and have dinner, stress free. They also have several TVs so if there's a game on, you'll be able to watch it. Also a long bar with locals if you want to hang out and have some company.

Now The Bad...The polish plate was not good at all. The best part was the boiled potatoes. The golabki (stuffed cabbage) had no flavor and cheap spaghetti sauce was used instead of traditional tomato sauce. The fresh and smoked sausage, sauerkraut, and pierogi had no seasoning and was extremely bland. The wife ordered the polish sliders, and she couldn't even finish one. The best part of her dinner was the french fries. Even the tap beer we ordered tasted skunked. If you're looking for good polish food I suggest you make the trip to Hamtramck.
