I hired Sabi Construction to do the complete renovation of my 1-Bedroom apartment. Hiring Sabi was one of the best decisions I made all year. My apartment is in an older UWS brownstone. It had old plumbing, old electrical, old everything. And now it looks clean, modern and beautiful! Sabi Construction worked with Con-Ed and then increased the electrical service coming into the apartment. Previously I had a few old glass screw-in fuses in my closet. Now I have a real electrical panel. Working with Sabi's electrician, we were able to add an energy-efficient cooktop, washer, dryer, and more lighting. Sabi's plumber moved the location of my kitchen sink, added plumbing to accommodate the washing machine, and completely overhauled my bathroom (moving sink, shower and toilet). Flooring was a huge job, and Sabi Construction handled it expertly. My old parquet floor was heavily damaged, and had to be removed. Sabi installed a new sub-floor, leveled it (!), then installed beautiful long wide tiles than look like wood planks. The bathroom was gutted, plumbing overhauled, and then beautifully tiled floor-to-ceiling. Some walls were altered also: Sabi removed an old unusable fireplace, expanded a closet, and oversaw window installation. In the kitchen they installed cabinets and an island. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully handled. Communication was great from start to finish. The owner, Isli, kept me informed about progress, answered all questions, and provided thoughtful and creative solutions to all issues (from bumpy walls to how to maximize the tiny closet space). And they kept me updated with frequent photos and FaceTime video when I was out of town. Costs were clearly communicated in writing and it was easy to discuss things when small changes were made or when I had questions. There were no surprises. Sabi dealt with the co-op board, building management, utility companies, neighbors, and the Dept of Buildings in the same respectful and clear manner that they did with me. Neighbors even commented about how responsible Sabi was in keeping hallways clean. And it was a big weight off my shoulders that they took care of all permits and inspections. Overall, I am thrilled with the results. The process was smooth, and even fun. The apartment looks fantastic. I highly recommend Sabi Construction and would use then again on any other project I have. read more

We did a full apartment renovation with SABI Construction; with especially attention to our kitchen and two bathrooms. When I was deciding on a contractor, I received multiple bids and selected SABI because they were, by far, the most professional: the bid included labor, building materials, and a choice to also include finish material costs. They also explained some of the best practices to eliminate extra costs hidden in the infamous NYC change orders. SABI has made the entire renovation experience a pleasant one, despite my initial renovation fear. In terms of design I worked with Lori and Omer. I also had an administrator (Isli) who oversaw the project from a paperwork standpoint (permits, architectural drawings, dealing with my fussy building, all purchases, etc.). Lori worked with me on choosing everything related to the bathrooms and apartment, and Omer designed the kitchen cabinets + countertop. They both make and great suggestions, and picked up on what I liked and guided me through the whole project. They set me up on a website where I signed off on everything they were ordering and I could log in any time to see what was delivered, and what was still on hold to be delivered when the carpenters were ready to receive. The construction went smoothly. The workers all wore masks, everyone showed up when expected, was respectful, and they cleaned up every day (apartment and hallway when needed) so that I could live and work in my apartment through the entire process. We also went through everything together very closely before we finished to make sure I was happy. SABI finished on time or under estimate and it came out beautiful. We highly recommend SABI Construction to anyone looking to renovate their apartments with peace of mind and ease throughout the construction life cycle. read more

I worked with Sabi Construction on a complete gut renovation of our one-bedroom apartment in a NYC brownstone co-op. The project involved upgrading a very old electrical system, moving and rerouting old plumbing, fixing walls, replacing slanted and damaged floors, adding cabinets, upgrading appliances, and figuring out the décor of all of this. The subcontractors - plumber, electrician, floor, tiling, and cabinet hanger people - were all top notch. They were respectful of the building and neighbors, and extremely detail oriented, creative, and thorough. The project involved dealing with the co-op board, building management, utility companies, the Dept of Building in NYC, and everything from beginning to end. If anyone has ever done a renovation in NYC, you know this is no small task! And Isli and his crew were with us, every step of the way. They were easy to work with, communicated clearly, and navigated the co-op approval process smoothly. Any issues that came up were addressed promptly and thoughtfully. The financials were transparent, the communication was great, there were no surprises, and no strife. The final result is a beautifully renovated apartment that feels solid, well-built, and exactly what I hoped for. I Highly recommend Sabi Construction and would use them again in a heartbeat. And I've recommended them to several friends who have also used them with great results. read more

We worked with Sabi Construction in 2023 to completely renovate the original 1950s bathroom in our small Brooklyn co-op, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Working in a co-op comes with a lot of rules and potential friction, but they handled all of the required paperwork seamlessly and were extremely respectful of building regulations. They were also thoughtful and professional in their day-to-day work, which went a long way in a building environment like ours. Most impressively, they built a strong working relationship with our superintendent--no small feat, as he is known to be quite difficult. The project itself had its share of surprises once work began (as you'd expect with a bathroom that hadn't been updated since the 1950s), but they were prepared, proactive, and solution-oriented every step of the way. Communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring throughout the process. They completed the renovation on time and on budget, which honestly felt like a minor miracle given the scope and age of the space. We are absolutely delighted with the final result and the overall experience. We would highly recommend them to anyone, especially those navigating the complexities of co-op renovations in New York. read more

After a long interview process of remodeling our home we decided to go with SABI Construction for our long overdue bathroom project. It started off as our master bathroom renovation, we increased the size of our master, and then decided to add a walk-in closet. We love our new bathroom design and our office contact at SABI, Lori, who was extremely helpful with our selections and keeping us from overspending (in addition to Jimmy who worked on the design of our project and managed it). They started the renovations in the beginning of November and estimate about 2 more weeks until completion. I am impressed by their work super which was done efficiently and neatly. We agreed to having our home photographed and can't wait to be featured on their website! We plan to use SABI Construction again for our other bathroom after we have some time to enjoy our new one! Highly recommend SABI!!! read more

I recently worked with SABI on a bathroom gut and renovation after discovering a leak, and the experience was very positive overall. From the start, they guided me through board approval and permitting, and managed the design and construction with professionalism. When an unexpected issue came up -- a leak from the upstairs neighbor's bathroom -- SABI was extremely helpful in quickly diagnosing the problem and explaining what needed to be done. They helped me with communication with the management and neighbors which made a tricky situation much easier to navigate. The bathroom turned out very well, and I'd happily recommend SABI to anyone looking for a reliable and detail-oriented renovation partner. read more

We did a complete demo and renovation of our bathroom, Sabi were amazing and a perfect match for the job! Isli and Jimmy are so great at what they do that we honestly felt zero stress during the demolition and build of our bathroom. They truly love what they do and take pride in it, and it shows. They want their clients to love their new spaces. Their communication on even the small details was always great, and really prompt. SABI Construction did an absolutely amazing job on a total gut rehab of our dated kitchen and powder room. We wanted new upscale appliances, upgraded cabinets with more storage space; replace a peninsula with an island, new countertops and lighting that would provide a transitional modern look. Jimmy and his crew did a phenomenal job, and Lori's design choices have all been spot on. The finished kitchen is wonderful, we could not be more pleased with the transformation. Highly recommend SABI Construction for any kitchen & bathroom renovations! Thank you again. read more
