To really make it look like new, it needed to be completely repainted. I got quotes from several other high-quality autobody shops around Oregon City, and I got one for the "best quality" that Maaco could do. Colby did this job for far less than the other shops would quote (around $6000 - $8000), and a bit more than Maaco (about $2500). The job they did was definitely in the top-of-the-line class and was worth every cent. Let me tell you, these guys did an A+ job. They pulled EVERYTHING off the car, trim, headlights, taillights, bumpers, brand badges, door handles... a place like Maaco NEVER does that. They thoroughly sanded the whole car down, and they fixed not only the two dings I wanted fixed, but a number of other ones I hadn't even noticed were there. They did a full 3-stage paint job (base, tint, and clear) just like the factory (Maaco doesn't do that either - two stage at best). The car looks, truly, better than when it was new. Every inch of it is perfect. Not a hint of orange peel or uneven color. Not a hint of any overspray. The job is spotless. All completely put back together like they never took it apart. They even detailed and CLEANed it. It was like picking up a brand new car when it was done. The shop might be kind of messy, and it has a bunch of cars around the office that almost make you wonder if it's a junk yard. But don't let that put you off. This is a first class professional shop. They did a lot of extra work to make the final product perfect, even things I didn't ask for. The work was amazing. After seeing this, I would never take a car anywhere else to be painted. Withnell has been my Hyundai service department for years, and a recent experience reminded me why…read more I brought my Ioniq PHEV to Withnell after an unsafe repair at a dodgy Portland-area Hyundai dealership left me with more questions than answers. Withnell's Shop Foreman, Perry, took the time to actually inspect the work, found a hold-down bracket and terminal cover that hadn't been properly secured near the high-voltage area, and fixed it correctly. No hand-waving, no defensiveness, no condescension: he showed me the problem and clearly explained the solution. The entire Withnell team has been consistently incredible over the years, which I'm sure is due in no small part to Service Manager Duncan Berry, who is exactly the kind of person that you would want overseeing the department. Duncan is unfailingly kind, thoughtful and will always make sure that you have the most accurate information. I know that his job must be difficult sometimes, but the integrity and warmth that this man brings to every interaction is second to none. It's also worth mentioning that several of the service center staff have been with Withnell for nearly 20 years, which says a lot in an area with an exceptionally high-demand for qualified mechanics. On the front desk, Kristopher and Bradley have been fantastic advisors: always responsive, knowledgeable and straightforward. The auto needed the battery to be charged, it wasn't but apparently just jumped to start. After the car was towed home I couldn't start the car. I charged the battery but the car wouldn't start so can't verify car was started. The transmission had an issue, as I was told the fluid was way over filled. The same shop had serviced the transmission early (complete fluid, gasket, filter change) so if 'way over-filled' it was their shop. The transmission was/is damage and will not engage as of this time. The top transmission linkage was damaged/broken but I drop off the new small linkage part (came from Ford originally) but was told they ordered (the shop) same part but it wasn't in yet. We came in several days later, they excepted the other linkage part and claimed they can't return to Ford and we'll need to pay for that same part, again, ugh. They didn't install the linkage, drain any of the transmission fluid, etc. Battery was dead and can't confirm the engine was started. They billed and charged me right at $100 ($98)...

I recommend this auto repair shop. They were friendly and competent with my minor repair problem.read more
