Brandon and his crew respected my appointment time took care of my tire which had to be replaced and gave me a comfortable place to wait for the service on my Honda CRV. Their customer waiting area offered coffee, tea, snacks, and I believe a television. Who could ask for more? Also, I had five lights on my dash that came on when I ruined my tire hitting a curb. The guys reset the warning lights and replaced my tire with a newer tire. I was out of there in 45 minutes. Typically in my old place of business that I used I was there 3 to 4 hours waiting for similar services. My time is precious just as theirs is. Brandon was polite. The customers service was important to him. Thank you, Brandon and guys in the shop who took care of this customer. As I was ready to leave and pay my bill, Brandon said "No Charge". What? Wait I need to write you a check no ma'am no charge today I was blown away. Snapping on two clips during a routine filter change does not justify $101 total, nor does the receipt list any actual repair labor for the box itself. 2. Inaccurate Claims About My Review: Brake Inspection: The owner accused me of "fraud" regarding an $80 inspection charge. I explicitly acknowledged that "While they didn't charge for the brake inspection itself, the overall experience left a bad taste in my mouth." I acknowledge the $0 charge on that specific line item. Caliper vs. Total Brake Cost: The owner claimed I said calipers were $900. I never said that. I stated the total brake repairs came out to over $900--which is accurate, as the front disc brakes ($842.24) and rear drum service ($132.00) totaled $974.24. My review explicitly stated the calipers themselves were "almost $250" ($124.14 x 2 = $248.28), which is accurate to the penny. 3. Unclear Communication on Calipers: Replacing calipers isn't routine maintenance for standard brake wear; it's a major component replacement. Check with any reputable shop and they will agree. Replacing them without clearly explaining why the original calipers had failed--rather than just servicing pads and rotors--lacks basic transparency. So I decided to go to Certified Automotive Repair for a 2nd opinion. I took my car in, and later that day John called me back and explained that I did indeed have a leak, but it wasn't massive at all - in fact, it was so not massive that he couldn't be 100% where the leak was coming from, so he advised on putting in some dye in various fluids and then drive it around for a few days and bring it back to pinpoint exactly where the leak(s) are. That sounded like a very prudent idea, so a week later I brought it back, and John informed me of the bad news - I had 2 leaks, not one. The good news though was that the total price for everything (the dye, and fixing both leaks) would end up being the same as Point S's quote for just the 1 leak! So I gave the ok, and after leaving my car with them for a day, I picked it up, and everything seems to be as good as new! I most likely will be coming back to Certified Auto Repair for any future issues/maintenance with my car. They've earned a new customer! Also PS: Make sure if you have a AAA membership to show them your card - you'll get a discount!

Very thorough repairs, service advisors are civil and explain things carefully, and they will drive you home and pick you up if you don't have an alternate ride. And for a two-bay shop, they were able to take me in very quickly, and did not keep the truck longer than one overnight. Nowadays, EVERY visit to a shop means a bill in high three figures, if not low four figures, and I have no way to calculate comparative economics. Certified is now my go-to repair shop. Preferred over AJ's and definitely over Power GMC.

(I am a 23 year old female buying my first car without help/I have experienced men talk to me like I'm an idiot when going in to auto shops) One employee asked me if I needed a ride anywhere while I was waiting... Another offered me the wifi password to use and a cup of coffee while I waited... And another offered me employee lunch!!... Also my phone was dead so one of them let me borrow their charger! (...which I would've been screwed without since I am from Corvallis & had no idea how to get around Salem) Anyways.. They did not tell me that the inspection comes with any service, nor did they give me the ability to opt out beforehand on the information sheet I filled out. They tried to charge me 300$ for the oil change because my oil cap was stuck on from my last oil change. They told me my headlights were fine, I have had to get out of my car and push them back in to get them working leaving my job at midnight twice since I've left that shop, which is the issue I wanted fixed. They also quoted me 10k for the other damage to my car, which I was already aware of because I PAID for an inspection with another shop. Now, two weeks later, I'm getting new lights on my dash and my car is running horribly, which never happened after my Walmart oil changes (though they got my cap stuck). Everything about this place is sketchy, they WILL damage your car to get you back in the shop, do not trust this business. I will be taking my car somewhere that has some business standards.

I was in shock of course, having never had a car stolen before. I got a call from Salem police two days later saying they found the car. It was impounded so we drove up on Monday afternoon and went to rescue it. I couldn't believe how the thieves sought to destroy my well-loved classic car. I couldn't start it and there was TONS of mud inside the car, under the hood, the back area under the hatchback was smashed along w/ a taillight. I knew I was going to pay for someone else's crime, which sickened me. The tow company recommended Valley Specialist so I had the car towed there that afternoon. Very nice staff, the young woman who runs the front office was so kind, love the sweet mascot they have (dog). I was fearing a big mess and big bill. The next morning I got a call from the shop and the first step was replacing the starter. I approved it. About 2 hrs later I found a receipt that I bought a new starter from a local shop for a new starter. I called the local shop and they called Valley Specialists and told them it was under warranty. I got a call from VS about 1 pm stating the car was working and that seemed to be the only problem w/ the car-mechanically speaking. The starter was swapped out for free and the bill was just $132 for the labor! I was thrilled! Without a doubt.....Valley Specialists are top notch and honest! I will definitely use them if I need them and I'm in the area! THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO EASE MY PAIN!

These guys took great care of me again and did a fantastic job. Phil at the front desk and the guys in the shop are on top of it and I will not be going any place other than Brothers.
