I liked this and I had fun puzzling it out with my friends. We did not do a very good job! It was hard to guess the ingredients and I think they purposefully try to fool you a little. I have photos of each course but I don't remember all the details. We had 6 courses. There was a small starter of a bao bun; mine was markedly less filled than the others on the table, so the proportions were off and I felt shortchanged. Then we had a fish course, a course with savory ice cream and some bread (like cornbread), a mushroom "pate" course, a cheese course (one big slice of cheese), and dessert (ice cream and apricots?). I felt like everything (taste, texture, ingredient quality and variety) were good but not great, especially since they are making things easier on themselves by doing fixed menus. Staff tried to explain what all the dishes and ingredients were, and they did good but not great job. They spoke English but didn't always know the English words for specific ingredients. The ambiance was fine. We were at a long, narrow communal table on the first floor just next to the kitchen and the door. It was a little cold from people coming in and out and a little busy with all the staff moving around. It wasn't the most refined or relaxing atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience at Pierre Sang, unlike any dining experience we have ever had. We went…read morefor my husband's 50th birthday and it was such a treat. Everything was innovative and delicious (I'm sure the menu changes regularly). They accommodated my gluten allergy and I had the best gluten free bread that I've ever had (made fresh just for me!). We had an outstanding server who taught us a ton about interesting wines as we opted for the wine pairing too. I read some reviews about price point, but it was much cheaper than Prix Fixe in SF, Chicago and NYC where we dine regularly and the portions were big. The vibe was cozy and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood before hand.

For us, we really just wanted some bibimbap which did not disappoint. This place even had complimentary banchans and tap water. Overall, the service was great. The food was great. Oh my god. I have finally found authentic Korean food in Paris and at a decent price!!!…read more My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we were given two menus, a dinner set menu that came with four different options and the regular menu. We opted for the 24€ per person set menu that came with an entree, rice, lettuce wraps, play: kalbi, banchan, and dessert each! We also got a side stew for 6€. He was nice enough to trade stews from the beef stew for the kimchi stew because oh dang, I crave my kimchi stews. The service was amazing and they speak Mandarin, English, French, and Korean. Great. We first got our side dishes and later rice and stew and then the beef BBQ! The beef was great quality and marinated in a light soysauce. The grilling pan was the type that holds all the juices which was great. The meats came with veggies too like onion, artichoke, and different types of mushrooms. The kimchi stew was out of this world and my boyfriend who does not like liquid foods like soups ate it all!!!! Yum. For dessert we both got a scoop of ice cream. Our amazing meal came out to less than 50€ because the owner was nice enough to give us some service (in Korean, a small gift for coming). I recommend making reservations as we saw people getting turned away. I am so happy to have found my Korean place here in Paris. Next time I will go try the pork belly!! Side note: they are actually named Go Grill.
