I recently had a friend looking for a storage unit. She was calling around getting prices and…read morewanted to rent a truck and unit from same place as she was limited on time. She had dealt with mini mall once before so was leaning towards them till she figured out they did not have a truck to rent. The last statement my friend said was I will call you back and let you know. We are not even in the state of texas yet at the time of that call. We'll she found better price with a truck at another place in same town. No other calls where made. Couple days later a charge comes across her bank account that mini mall charged her for the unit. A contract was email not signed. Friend never step foot on property. She called to get a refund. Well this is where true colors come thru. Was told it was processing and admin fees and then was told she had a unit rented. Spoke with manager who assured me personally at this point , my friend needed a break, that she listen to the original call and my friend never said at the end of the call that she would call them back............. so I asked if that cal, could be emailed to my friend to verify...was told no...asked how to get it and was basically told without would have to legally request it from corporate. It's more about principal now not money. So called back and manager had just left, bc I had more questions after receiving receipt. So fast forward to today. I call back to get the unit number and was given the same unit number I rented last time. Sounds great but last time I rented a 10x10 and this time I was looking for a 5x10 and her UNSIGNED contract...... when I try to access it thru the link they sent it says "This lease document cannot be signed because the application has been canceled. Please contact your property manager if you need assistance." So I have no clue what they charged my friend for but this company has some shady ethics. So if you like a shady and dishonest manager please rent from this place!!!!!! They have that covered!!!
