Be aware - they do not speak any other language than Spanish but that is ok, it works any way, the menu is in English and German and they try. Sure enough, people trickled in later and the place was pretty packed by the time we left. The food was great here! For appetizers we had mussels in tomato sauce and special house salad, and for entrees lightly battered cod and Mallorcan style gilt-head fish. The mussels and fish were especially awesome. Service was lovely at first but once the restaurant filled up with people our server was hard to get a hold of. He seemed kind of overwhelmed. We skipped dessert because we had a feeling it would be a long wait. Even with not-so-perfect service I had a good time and would recommend it.

The story is heartbreaking, but Bar Es Roquessar may help you forget this sad tale of woe, especially after ordering a glass of cava, some tapas or if you are feeling ambitious, an order of their suckling pig. Great setting alongside delicious food and desserts. Make a reservation as it's small and popular. Presentation was pretty, the toasted bread pieces were tasty, the base was a tomato soup, and the mussels were nice and plump. Ardent foodies, we hadn't hear…read moreof this restaurant and were lucky to be given this recommendation from Lloseta's other fine dining establishment, Santi Taura, which was booked for the evening. Where to start? From the first moment that we walked into this place, we were hooked. The ambiance was perfect, the waiter was attentive, professional, and knowledgeable, and the chef/owner Tomeu was accessible and approachable. The chef personally came to our table on several occasions to check on us and to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We had absolutely no complaints the entire evening. The food was fresh, local, and scrumptious. The plates that were served to us looked like works of art and tasted delicious. As I told Tomeu, it felt as though as the meal progressed, the dishes became more and more tasty. Considering that Tomeu is in his early thirties, it was apparent to us that cooking is in his blood and that he is a natural talent. We learned during the course of our meal that Tomeu does all of the food prep and cooking for the whole restaurant - and impressive feat considering that his establishment can seat approximately 30 diners. Fortunately, we are staying nearby and have a few more days in wonderful Majorca so that we can go back for seconds at Tomeu Lassio - we've already made our next reservation!

The panoramic views of the Bay of Palma were spectacular and breathtaking. The front desk gentleman personally walked us to our corner room with the best view and told us that the restaurant downstairs was already booked for the evening and that the Michelin star Irene Gutierrez Huamani chef from Peru was the chef tonight. Since we were located on the top of hill, there was absolutely nothing around unless we chose to trek back down the hill for food, so we ventured downstairs and tried our luck. We showed up at 715pm right about when they opened. The lady said people usually book a week in advance but that they were able to squeeze us in and would need the table back in about an hour. We felt so happy and accomplished that we were able to try out this place. Their house bread had olives encrusted in it (2,20/person). There was a tasting menu for 79,00/person but we opted a la carte and basically ordered almost what was on the tasting menu and more. We ordered tacos secreto iberico (16,00/2 tacos so you have to order multiples if you have more than 2 people per party), ceviche exotico salmon (21,00), papa rellena confit (15,00/for 2), rabo de buey (oxtail) (26,00), bacalao retinado (cod) (27,00), and the tagliatelle langostin (prawn) (26,00). Had the copa Mallorca beer. Everything was absolutely amazing except the tagliatelle, which was a bit salty. Highly recommend the oxtail, tacos, ceviche and potatoes. We finished off with a drink called orujo which I felt was very strong. Everything was like a fairytale and perfect up to this point. When it was time for us to finish up, the check took forever to arrive and when it did, no one ever came by for us to close out the check so we could leave. Just paying took almost an hour. Of course, we cherished the moment and people watched. Many were dressed with their A game. But still, we would've liked to leave earlier, especially since they mentioned they needed the table back. We ended up doing almost a 2.5 hours meal even though the food came out quickly. I went back upstairs to our room and looked down from our balcony at guests dining and enjoying their meal. The restaurant closed at 10p but I could hear the kitchen still cleaning, finally ending their night at 1am. What an amazing experience. Absolutely recommend if you're in the area.

After we dropped our bags in our hotel about 45 minutes away the day we landed, we made the trip to come here and honestly, Celler Sa Premsa did us nicely. Celler offers a super casual atmosphere filled primarily with locals. This rustic, wood-heavy restaurant has high ceilings and lots of seating. I thought of Katz Deli's cafeteria table layout. We didn't reserve, but were seated at 8 without hesitation. Servers are quick on their toes and tend to diners efficiently. The Gambas al Ajillo (small shrimp) were made with a generous dose of olive oil and garlic and their bread, has an hearty chew to soak up that extra garlic+ saffron mix.
