I saw several glowing reviews and contacted Doug immediately. I ordered pigs in a blanket, veggie platters, a couple types of quesadillas and brisket and pulled pork sliders. The quality of the food was excellent and the guests raved about it! Doug was excellent in working with me on my budget (and even threw in some street tacos!) and there was plenty of food for the 250-300 person crowd! Doug worked directly with the funeral coordinator so I could concentrate on family. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. Doug even managed to locate some toothpicks for me! Again, I highly recommend LC. Thank you to Doug for the wonderful experience!

The experience was seamless and stress free throughout, from planning the menu to logistics. We had inclement weather the day of, and last minute accommodations were handled gracefully and efficiently. It is clear that the passion for hospitality flows throughout the entire organization. Lily and Margarita served us that evening and were an absolute joy to interact with. Their presentation was beautiful, food always fresh and they were always present and of service to our guests. The bartender Antonio was also great, kept the energy going all night and kept our guests well "hydrated!" The food, décor and staffing was all first rate! Every person from the True Flavors staff was always helpful from start to finish with all three of our events. They helped us create the most amazing custom menus, had servers dressed in theme and provided décor that further enhanced our themes. Each of the 200-300 guests at each event, were delighted with the food and service, feeling personally catered to. This resulted in us receiving extremely positive feedback about how fabulous the food and service was. I would highly recommend them for your next catering, big or small. ~ Melissa Aguillon

We narrowed down Catalyst's lunch menu to give our group fewer options. Most selected a lunch box a la Jason's Deli. A few of us opted for salads. All were pleased. I'd had some appetizers from Catalyst at a wine event at the Botanical Gardens, so I was expecting good, fresh fare and my expectations were upheld. Catalyst offers catering for all occasions including holiday parties. If you're in the market for catered food, check out the current menu on Catalyst's website - if you'll be spending for food anyway, why not support an organization that puts its proceeds back into the community? And it's not like you have to make the "crunchy" choice at the expense of quality: the food is good, y'all!

Culinary students who are receiving their 18 week training at the Food Bank prepare entrees, hors d' oeuvres , desserts and drinks for customers. My workplace had a retreat and I had the opportunity to try the delicious food made by the culinary school. Catalyst catering has a large menu that an event planner can choose from. Our group was catered breakfast and lunch. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit ( pineapple, strawberries, red and white grapes) , fresh coffee, OJ, mini cinnamon and cherry Danish pastries as well as breakfast tacos. I came late so I missed out on the breakfast tacos, but those pastries were to die for along with the fresh fruit. Lunch included Panko crusted baked stuffed chicken with a vegetable medley and beef pot roast with roasted garlic and bacon mashed potatoes. I tried both and they were both delicious. The only complaint was the sliced potatoes in the pot roast were very salty. Dessert included these wonderful Apple and cherry pies with a delicious crust. Looking at the prices on their website catering is incredibly reasonable-$14 for a pie that serves 8 people, breakfast tacos ( 2 for $3), chicken $11 per person. Catalyst catering services made $500,000 in previous years which goes back to the food bank & the community . They cater any event from work retreats to quinceneras to weddings. I really felt glad that my workplace got a great meal while at the same time giving back to the community by using Catalyst catering services.

Not to be disgusting, but they had GI problems for 1-2 days. One guest said that when they bit into the meatball, she noticed it wasn't cooked all the way. We didn't know what exactly caused everyone to get sick. But we know for sure it wasn't the desserts because the people who got sick didn't eat dessert. Additional Issues- Since choosing Anne Maries for catering, we had a couple of issues. First one being with our numbers in regard to food. I had been in communications and told Shawn that we had less people after the RSVP count came in 300 originally, then RSPV'd... 250. Shawn later told us that is why they "double check" numbers before charging. And no, they didn't! He already sent us a bill for the wrong number of guests for the wedding. Thirdly, we had an invoice sent to us saying that after we paid that our card was rejected. Supposedly after speaking with Shawn on the phone, he informed me that the office manager didn't communicate with him about how we already paid. So, the office manager sent another invoice, and it stated that the payment was rejected. This happened after the previous issue was addressed. Overall, we were very disappointed by the issues that we encountered with Anne Marie's and don't feel like the company demonstrated professional qualities that we thought we were paying for. There was poor communication between Shawn and the Office Manager. We understand mistakes happen, but there were several mishaps with the addition of some of our guests getting sick on the food.

We agreed on a multi-day menu that was supposed to be high-end. What we got was the opposite. The chef claimed to serve premium ingredients, but they were clearly not what was promised. "Ora King" salmon was just regular salmon. "Wagyu" filets were tough, chewy, and nothing close to real Wagyu. The lobster had an off, fishy taste and was borderline inedible. Dishes were poorly executed across the board -- overcooked, oddly prepared (including breaded fish that should never have been breaded), and not even close to a gourmet standard. Portions were huge, but quality was extremely low. It felt like quantity was used to hide lack of skill and honesty. The biggest issue wasn't just bad cooking -- it was misrepresentation. Charging premium prices while serving subpar ingredients and misleading the client is unacceptable. For $3,000, this was nowhere near a luxury private chef experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to look elsewhere.
