Perhaps I'm not the best expert on gelato, I've had a bunch of it, probably my favorite was found in Little Italy, but as a general rule, I'd probably give all of it five stars. This little corner shop was salvation for one massive reason: we were touring Italy in November, and on our little island of Ischia, nothing was open: resorts, restaurants, certainly not gelato shops. And that made for one very disappointed twelve year-old.
This was the first spot we found when we landed in Rome and I believe I had a pistacio / lavender combo. Very good, but the smile on that kid's face was priceless. I asked for a quick pose on the street, as we descended toward a very memorable city. read more
