Mr. Electric of Meridian

Mr. Electric of Meridian

I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Electric of Meridian, Idaho!…read more As a real customer in Meridian, I recently needed a reliable electrician and spent time reading through 25-30 reviews before deciding. Mr. Electric stood out with consistently excellent feedback and--important to me--they offer a military discount as a thank-you for service members. From the first phone call, the experience was exceptional. I spoke with, "Chad", a patient, professional representative who genuinely tried to troubleshoot the issue with me over the phone before even scheduling a visit. That's rare these days and showed real care for saving me time and money. Once scheduled, I received helpful text updates, including a photo and short bio of the arriving electrician--Joshua Stanley--which made me feel even more confident and comfortable. Joshua arrived on time, worked efficiently, and--best of all--took the time afterward to clearly explain exactly what the problem was and how he fixed it. No jargon, just straightforward answers that left me feeling informed and relieved. The entire process was professional, transparent, and customer-focused from start to finish. Mr. Electric has now earned my complete trust as my go-to electrician for any future needs. If you're in the Meridian/Boise area and want top-notch service you can count on, look no further. (Now I just need to find a plumber and handyman who match this level of quality!) Thanks again, Mr. Electric--especially Joshua Stanley--for the outstanding work!

Tech came out for estimate, but ended up fixing everything on the spot. Worked out great - Thanks!read more

Walked me through the changes and showed me how everything worked. He was fast and thorough. The rate I paid was fair for the level of service and speed provided.

I initially called because I to find out what was needed to be able to plug in a hot tub, check outlets and light switches that did not work, and find out why the Christmas lights and vacuum would blow the circuit. I asked Andy if he could write out the information he found or call me later in the day to explain it since I had to return to work, he refused and left a bill for $120. He did tell me it would then cost $2500+ to expand the breaker box for a hot tub. In the time allotted Andy could not figure out what the sub panel did, did not find out what outlets and switches did. He told me I just need to expect that vacuum's and Christmas lights will blow the breaker. I found out after googling and asking around what to look for for a hot tub hook up. Apparently, the breaker box already had a sub panel which leads out to the nation where it is already wired for a hot tub. Andy was not able to determine what the sub panel did in the time allotted. I've never been charged for this type of consultation before. While I agree there was not enough time to look at everything, I am not an electrician and would have been fine with rescheduling rather than being asked to pay for an incomplete job and an irrelevant quote.

They came out promptly to…read moreprovide an estimate for an updated hot tub, and because they came so highly recommended by the Snake River Hot Tub dealership, we felt confident moving forward without getting a second quote. On the day of the installation, an unexpected issue came up from our 17 year old wiring that hadn't been identified during the estimate. It required additional parts, about a half day of extra labor, and even digging up existing hot tub wiring. Despite all of that, we were incredibly impressed that they honored the original estimate without hesitation. That level of integrity is rare and speaks volumes about their business. Throughout the entire process, their communication was clear and consistent. The team was incredibly friendly, professional, and respectful of our space. They took the time to replace all the dirt they had to dig up and left everything clean and tidy when the job was done. We highly, highly recommend Canyon Electric for their integrity, excellent communication, professionalism, and quality work. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I have called Canyon Electric three time and message them twice in the past week, to no avail. I have left recordings and gotten no returned call. Canyon Electric did our SPA electric our first home twelve years ago. Canyon Electric also did our Eagle SPA electrical in 2020. We just had our home inspected and the inspector will not pass the inspection as the 220 volt wire runs the complete length of our home in the crawl space "On The Ground." The inspector said it was against Idaho code and illegal. He said it legally had to be nailed to the joists. He was floored and put back that the installer did not nail it up properly. I am old and cannot go under the home so I never new it was done incorrectly and illegally. Plus, I cannot go under the home to nail it up properly.
