    Ok, after my great experience with the tax Collector's Office where I was encouraged to get a plate…read moreprotector, I was on my way to Auto Zone when the corner of my eye spotted Advance Auto Parts 2 blocks away. How convenient for me!! I walked in and I'm a fish out of water as auto gadgets and solutions are not my thing. However, I'm fascinated by those men and women who are excited about spark plugs, mud flaps, wiper blades, WD-40 and fan belts among other things. I knew enough to read the overhead aisle markers and find the product I was in need of purchasing. I'm also not reluctant to ask for suggestions and help. This is where Don comes in. Don is a tall burly man's man with (obviously) an encyclopedia of vehicle needs rolling around in his head. He had a hand full of items he was in route to deposit on a shelf of bin when he stopped to ask if I needed assistance. I wanted to know which plate protector was best: flat acrylic or beveled? He asked two questions which led me to answer that I had s Red Sox plate outliner around my license plate to which he responded, "Oh, you don't need a plate protector just throw that Red Sox thing away and your plate's protected." I love humor in my sales person!! And it was good humor and induced a 10 minute baseball conversation about World Series, American and National league teams and those who are in need of a shot at the titles. What-A-Guy!!!! Meanwhile back at my reason for the visit, Don and I agreed on the flat plate protector. He single handedly cashed me out while balancing in the other arm all those items, gave me a receipt a warm invitation to come back, shook my hand with his free hand and in parting reminded me to trash my Red Sox tag frame. I liked him and his service!! If ever I'm in need of auto stuff, Don is the man I'll see

    I just wanted to say thank you to David for his kindness in exchanging my key fob batteries…read more Apparently, Mazda 2012 uses cr2025 also, but they use a different fob. So, I bought the wrong ones a few days ago. I was not sure how to get the key out of my two fobs. David removed the old ones for me & replaced them, plus he gave me a refund since they were out of the other brand. I watched how polite & courteous David was with the 2 gentlemen ahead of me, who needed several different parts. His demeanor never changed even as he tried to help them, all the while ensuring that he had the correct part. I highly recommend this business for any & all auto parts. I highly recommend David if you want a helpful & knowledgeable sales person. Great service!

    Girl on the phone said there was " no way" that my dead battery was the reasoning for my cars…read moreperformance being affected.. had me thinking something else was wrong with the car even after I had already had numerous other people tell me it could be because the battery is dead and also looking up online I found that if your battery is pretty much dead it can affect the alternator as well as other performance based things.. sure enough it was just the battery that needed to be changed. Car was running sluggish sounded little bit louder than normal.. got the battery tested it was in fact a bad battery, immediately after replacing the battery it was back to normal.. so for the person that said " there's no way it's the battery" brush up on your facts.

    First time I have given such a low score. Went in yesterday morning after calling a different…read morelocation to confirm if my battery was still under warranty, they checked and lucky me it was under warranty so I could stop by to get it swapped. Opted to come to this location as it was on my route and man, do I ever regret having stopped by. I was kindly welcomed in by a young man, then when he started assisting the individual training him started reprimanding him for not having a pen as that meant he was out of uniform, and how he shouldn't ask for my phone number more than once, he may have been right BUT there is always a way to say things in a nice and kind way. The young man apologized to me and quickly found my account, the trainer at this point had walked away, the young man struggled to identify the details needed for my battery swap, he called the man training him and at that point said trainer tried convincing me that my battery was not under warranty. I explained that I had called and had confirmed it was prior to coming over, he kept insisting I didn't. The manager heard the guys talking and come over and quickly confirmed I was under warranty. They then proceeded to take another call while I stood there,waiting for like felt a lifetime. Once they came back to assist the trainee they went to look at batteries and came back to tell me they didn't have the battery for my vehicle and I needed to go to a different store. A woman at the store overheard them and must have felt bad for me standing there for 40 minutes so she had then call a different store to confirm they had the battery in stock. after a brief time on hold they confirmed they had it in stock. once i made it to the other store they checked the system and had me out in 10 minutes, something that took this store 40 min yo just tell me they didn't have it in stock. I also didn't appreciate the trainer guy telling me it wasn't on warranty trying to get me to purchase a new one.
