Brett was very professional, well-spoken, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Both he and his co-worker were polite and respectful and worked diligently to install my mini-split. They asked questions to be sure they were installing it as I had wanted. They assisted me in setting up the remote control as well as the smart control kit so that I could use Alexa. Through the install they took great care with everything. When setting up the cover for the line set (wires and tubes), they made sure all areas were properly caulked and that the covers lined up aesthetically -- they took the time to do everything the right way the first time. Need a new AC? Don't go through MyFireplace!!!…read more We have a high end 6 year old Lennox AC installed in our home. It was installed by MyFireplace for the previous owners. Last week we noticed that the house wasn't cooling despite the fact that the fan and motor of the AC were running. We called myfireplace and they said that we would only be covered by the manufacturers warranty because we were the second owners of the unit. They wanted $100 to even come out and look at it. We decided to have Finan come out to take a look because they were $50 cheaper. The guy took a look at the machine and deduced that there must be a coolant leak as a result of faulty installation and that we would need a new unit. I've had multiple companies come out to quote us for a new unit, they've all said that this was a high quality AC unit and that it must have been installed incorrectly by MyFireplace. I called MyFireplace back and got the same message- 5 years manufacturers warranty on parts. Super disappointing that they won't stand behind their product and their installation. I certainly won't be giving them my business moving forward. Now I have to spend $5000 replacing an AC that they installed incorrectly.

I thought I would go on the companies website who made the unit and found it was also sold thru Rona. Needless to say it was about $200.00 cheaper. I removed the old unit myself, built the framework and found a stone mason. Live and learn.
