I have had multiple Pedicures and they have been great. She is very pleasant, relaxing to go there.

I've given this nail salon two tries, hoping perhaps to get better results the 2nd time -- NOPE…read more The first time I gave them a try I was passed from person to person like an assembly line - and the end result, while the painted design on the nail was pretty - the nails themselves were WAY TOO THICK and so obviously fake looking, I was disappointed. The 2nd time (today) I had one technician for the entire session. She is the one who has put me off ever using this place again. The list of things that I am unhappy with are: #1. I specifically asked her to NOT make the tips of the nails so thick, and to 'slightly' round them so they weren't so square. They are so thick and oddly shaped, and she managed to make a groove (like an indentation) around the nail bed so it looks like I have really ugly THICK things glued to my fingers. The sides are way too wide, when I put my fingers together the sides of these big ugly things press into each other. These look so very obviously fake that I'm embarrassed to show them to anyone. #2. While "shaping" the sides of the nails with her giant emery board, she managed to cut 2 of my fingers on the side just under the nail bed! When I complained she grabbed a bottle of some liquid and applied it to the 2 cuts saying this will disinfect it - OW!! This stuff burned like crazy! And she didn't give me the opportunity to even see what it was she was putting on my fingers before she applied it. She did take $5 off my bill for cutting me, but still.... VERY unprofessional! #3. I asked for regular nail lacquer to be applied so that I could remove it myself later (I didn't want gel polish). Her reply to me was, "What is lacquer?" (Um, it's like printed on the bottle of polish...). Then, her application of it was worse than what I could do myself at home. A very shoddy job. So now, I'm going to have to wait for the 2 cuts she gave me to heal, then go pay a better salon to remove these monstrosities, and hopefully do a professional job. All in all my advice is to avoid this place - unless you don't mind sophomoric, shoddy work, and possible injury.

I purchased gift certificates to Crystal NAILS for my niece and mother in May. Since I was coming…read moreto Michigan from Scottsdale Az they said they'd wait for me and we could all go together. We called on Monday for a Saturday appt. We arrived about 10 minutes early, two of the three nail techs were there, the other arrived a few minutes later. drinking a soda from Mcdonalds on the pedicure floor. I knew immediately that the man doing my pedicure was not properly trained and perhaps not even licensed, He acted like he had never removed nail polish before. He was poking me with his nails too, I did say something about this to him and he stopped. It took him 10 minutes to remove nail polish. When it came time for my message I was handed over to another asian guy who gave me the strangest message where he was pulling at my legs and bending my feet to the outside. It was ridiculous and uncomfortable! I notice at one point the american girl doing my mothers toes had both of her feet in the air at the same time scrubbing them, She was not holding them, she was making my 72 year old mother hold them !!!!! I have never seen anything like this in my life. When the american girl was finished with my mom, she used the same file on another client without sanitizing it~ My mothers toes chipped the very next day and my nails were jagged and unfilled!! Fortunately for my niece she had an asian woman who did know what she was doing and gave her a proper pedicure, removed her calluses, messaged her appropriately and left her with a cute design on her nails. I would venture to guess that the people who attempted to give myself and my mother our pedicures are NOT licensed,.I will follow up with the Michigan State board of Cosmetology. Don't go here. Drive to Kzoo and find someone reputable.
