During the mushroom workshop, we toured the various places where he is growing edible mushrooms on his property, including wine cap mushrooms on wood chips and shitakes and oysters on logs. Then we inoculated logs ourselves by drilling, filling with mushroom spawn, and waxing. After the workshop, we felt confident enough to inoculate about 60 of our own logs the next spring. I also attended a food forest workshop, herb spiral workshop, and tours of the property. Michael is an excellent speaker with great ideas. The work he has done on his property and at other places (like Volt downtown) is beautiful and unique. I would highly recommend Ecologia's workshops and edible landscaping work.
