I won't give the exact pricing, but Elmer's was reasonable while others simply don't respond or some ridiculous quotes (heard others talk about how some companies on Yelps are just preying on older folks to land their ridiculous quotes). The work was good (I can't really comment much, but jt was fixed). Elmer was cordial (but was late for about 30 minutes). Another little complaint I have is he doesn't take credit card. They took total advantage because we're elderly and know nothing about plants. We just took out the $3000.00 worth of shit They sold us. 1) they sold us tropical even though I said they wouldn't work because our backyard gets too much direct sun and heat. They ALL died within a few months 2) I was told the drip system they installed could be adjusted for each plant to get more or less water. Not true 3) I explained the dirt they were planting in was old and depleted. I was told the dirt didn't matter. They did not treat the dirt or even fertilize what they planted. 4) the drip system they put in had a control that it has a 300 page online manual. Even their installer didn't know how to set it up and was unable to explain it to me. YET he told me it needed to be updated every 6 months when we changed the batteries. Of course we were not told about this requirement until instalation was completed. As I said earlier we are elderly! I asked for a simpler timer and they said there was no option. 5) they are NOT woman owned and operated. Yes, the scamming husband put the company in his wife's name for tax purposes but she CLEARLY knows nothing about plants or landscaping. When I had them come out to see the dead plants she never spoke. Her husband and Anthony did all the arguing and yelling and put all the blame on us. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism in any service industry. All I asked for, and still feel we are entitled to, is a refund. The dead plants have been removed, the inadequate drip system has been removed, and we are starting over. I was duped by a morally bankrupt company. Don't be fooled by the fake reviews on their web page! They have no place to leave a review on their web page and they aren't here so where did those reviews come from?? THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Really unfortunate, because I would have been a return customer if he had handled this correctly. Have the sod was not growing, and the other half was growing quickly which looked terrible. Also, the was no water coverage in the center of the lawn which caused a area where the grass started dying unless I manually watered it with the hose. i grade his work at a C at most…read more lets start with the good. his communication was great. texted and messaged on a timely manner. very good there. on the appointment time, he was on time. perfect there. the work on the other hand was not all there. he did not seem to care about the details of my request. in the request i mentioned i needed root pulls but also a clean up of all the debris and bugs and spider webs. when he arrived he said he didnt know about the items other than root pulling. now its in the request and i cant change that so its stated there for all to see. i did ask if it was ok since i have other people who would be able to do this job. he said he would do it. so he started. when he was done there was a ton of debris and even cobb webs as i stated needed cleaning up. he did reluctantly do the webs but the debris was still there. at this point he said it would take him all day to clean it. i did not know what else to say? btw he declared he was completed, quicker than i can make my scrabbled eggs. he spent less than 15minutes to do a C grade job (im really giving him curved grade. either way i paid him $100 for a 15 min job. i think the other people who can make that sort of pay are doctors, lawyers, and this guy. i had to do more work on it myself to complete what i paid him to do. i honestly would not recommend him. i included what it looks like and what he left uncleaned. mind you, its a very very small area. it didnt take me all day to complete it myself.
